Just found you today and I'm so grateful! Love your sense of humour and the ease you bring to something that can be so daunting. I have used iMovie up until now and am currently working on my first long format video on my Macbook with CapCut. Have done some shorts/reels/tiktoks on my phone, but now it's time to get the long form videos looking snazzy. Thnx again...still learning as I go.

Just found your video by chance! It saved my footage. I was shooting from outside to inside with drone, so the lens closes for outside and didn't open enough when inside which made darker, and I needed to raise higher the exposure, and with this I set a keyframe for last inside frame with good exposure, and a keyframe for outside normal, so now the video makes a smooth transition in exposure as I wanted so :D thanks m8!!! just subscribed!

I do it all the time - the software automatically adjusts so it's not an issue.

I want to get CapCut, but I'm a bit nervous, as I've heard the U.S. may ban it (being a product from the people who created TikTok). Just wondering your thoughts, please. :)
Hey Ted - They've been trying for 4 years and the US is a big market for ByteDance - a market with deeper pockets than a lot of places. So I personally don't think it'll be banned. I think they'll figure something out. But who knows! Either way, the skills you learn in CapCut translate to all the other apps. Even if you just get the free version, you can learn a ton about editing. A few seconds before I started replying I was learning Resolve - and all the apps I've learned before - the original FCP, Avid, Adobe Premiere and Capcut - are making it MUCH easier. Tho resolve is a little more complicated than I thought!

All features aren't available in all coutries, unfortunately. If you're not in the US, you may have different features.
HEY TREV : ) another issue I'm having when trying to export it keeps saying currently 4 tasks are being processed but they aren't getting completed. I've cleared the cache but i don't think space or storage is the problem considering it's a brand new laptop with tuns of storage. Any thoughts?
Dang I've never had that in CapCut. It COULD be an issue with corrupt media - I've had similar issues in Premiere where you either can't export or can't render. IT'S A PAIN. The fix is usually deleting one video or audio clip at a time, then trying to export again.
Instead of deleting clips, you can mark an and and out and try exporting 1 section at a time. Mark the first 30 seconds, export, did it work? Then the next 30 and so on till you find the section with the corrupt media. Just narrow down the issue doing something like that.
You can also try creating a new project and - gulp - starting over. Even try creating a new project and try to export one clip, just to see if it's capcut/the computer/settings, or just the media.
It's just a matter of trouble shooting the issue be changing one variable at a time.

I use Adobe Premiere usually, since I've been editing for 25 years, so I like more of the pro features. I use a company called editing machine to edit most of my videos to give me more time, even tho I still love to edit!
How do I change the origin/pivot point for tweening?
To change the anchor point for something like an arm for a character, you need to bring the arm into something like photoshop. Put the anchor point/pivot point in the exact center of the frame on a blank background. Then export it as a PNG so the background remains blank. Then when you rotate it, it will pivot from that point. You can also use Photopea, which is a free online image editor.

You need to make the graphics a compound clip, then click on it. If you still don't have them it's becuase features vary by country. Which sucks.
Please make sure the content you’re looking at has similar properties to the tutorial. Most all images and clips will have an animations tab once you select the tab. If you don’t see the tab appearing, verify the content is the correct type; a standard image or clip should have an animation tab after selecting it (eg shouldn’t be audio).

The yellow dot is usually not solid - it's more transparent. I messed up! Sorry man!
The yellow dot to show the cursor is helpful to the majority. Im happy to know that you can see it just fine, but that is not the case for everybody. Personally I find it very helpful. And did it detract from the main purpose or subject of the video? No, right? Otherwise you wouldn't have ''really enjoyed''.
