Another option for iPad mount is an iPad case with camera mount and an adaptor so you can use with go pro mounts. Lots of options to suit most scenarios. Hercules clamps also very good.
Nice stuff man, agree on the lightweight gear! I use and have used the k&m ipad clamp for about 7 years and it’s awesome. It’s a mixture of metal and plastic, I think their new ones are this bio plastic stuff? Would highly recommend that iPad clamp though! Bonus, you can clamp it off a cymbal and not need a whole other stand like I see some folk do.
That sounds absolutely promising, and keeping strong after 7 years!! Impressive. I’ll absolutely check it out, as the amount of times I’ve wanted to clamp it to a cymbal arm is nuts!
After trying way too many inexpensive iPad holders from Amazon, OnStage, etc., I discovered the Hercules DG307B Tablet Holder. It's built like a tank and has held up for 75+ gigs so far.
Hello Harry! Quick question because we have a concert coming up... If I hit an effect note on the SPD-SX pad, it starts, but if I hit it again quickly, the previous hit is still heard. How can I set that the previous sound to stop every time I hit it and make it start again when I hit it again!? thank you for your reply and for all the help you have given so far!
Great question! If you go into Menu -> Pad, there should be a setting in there with ‘ALT’ selected, or ‘SHOT’. I made a video on this a couple years ago named “What Does ‘ALT’ and ‘SHOT’ Mean” and that should fix your problem!
Hello! great video. Harry you mentioned that you stopped using the SPD SX Pro. Could you share the reason for that? it is the SPX SX better than the a new model? in what sense?
Great question, and one I should’ve elaborated on in the video! Nothing exciting. The Pro is incredible, I just had it on loan from Roland so had to send it back. Will absolutely be getting my own and then it’ll most likely go back in the case!

This is a genius idea!! I have a bunch of GoPro mounts, so I’ll absolutely look into this

215s reliable back up option 🤙🏾
Also for when you get to a gig and someone hasn't got in-ears or is having issues with theirs.
Totally agree!! Keeping that little pouch of spare ear pieces in the case has been a life saver for other people
