I bought a brand new YFZ 450 off the showroom floor in 2007 bone stock i could smoke beefed up Raptor 660s best racing fourwheeler ever built in my opinion... i sold it 2011 it still runs in 2022
For the 700 always start in 2nd gear. You will have a better chance on getting that holeshot and reaching the top faster 😁 They will pull away from the 450 4th to 5th gear.
In off-road the 450 are so or more fast then a 700 one, depends of the type of terrain but 450 are extremely made for competition to he newer ones are beasts..they are very fast on acceleration, 700 it's cool too but the concept it's not the same, you can see clearly the difference between the style of the 2 atvs

Yfz all day. I don’t like the geometry and ride height of the raptor. I had ridden dirt bikes my entire life until I had several reoccurring knee injuries switched over to quads in 2007. I had thought the raptor was the coolest thing since I was a little kid so I had my mind set on one went In bought one within a month I had a yfz and I’ve been swapping them out every year since
If you ride both, you'll laugh at a banshee. They're not really that powerful unless you do alot of mods and they will beat the living hell out of you.
Banshee are cool for he nostalgia and the orgasmic sound but riding wise raptor hands down the better machine way more comfortable and 1000x more reliable

Benches aren't really that fast had a Fourtrax with a CR500 in it , ate Banchees for breakfast. 2nd problem for Banchees is anytime you turn the handle bars .
they are pretty much equal on speed. but the 450 has way shorter service intervals with its 450 dirtbike engine. the 700 you can just change your oil every other year and your fine. still have my 08 raptor 700 i bought in 2008 :D
@@abdoarby you can drive it on highways but its very sensitive to steering input. you can tell they are made for dirt roads etc. i lowered and widened it but it is still very sensitive. but its not as wobbly as it was with stock height
That 450R should have put close to 2 bike lengths on him during the hole shot. That's right about the length I had with my 450R vs a 700 then they overtake me once about tapped through the end of 4th gear.
I own a 2017 YFZ and a 2021Raptor. Both stock machines very equal on speed, raptor a Trail monster with low end tourqe but heavier and not as agile. The difference really starts when you do performance mods to them. That 700motor is really choked out stock, put the big 3 on them and the raptor becomes a animal and it still wants and can handle more.
I have both and im agree with you. But i love the yfz handling and thats the reason why i chose yfz over raptor but i still luv raptor torque and power. Both are great machine

Do not get a banshee unless you're ready for high maintenance and possibility of blowing it up. YFZ is the way to go, reliability at it's finest Raptors are overrated.
@@andrewabraham3936a yfz needs valve adjustments every 40-50hrs and a top end replacement every 100. A raptor will go 150-200hrs with nothing more than oil and filter changes. 450s aren't known for reliability.

Holeshots and the one thats faster short ways is a 450 but long ways the gearing for 700 will take a 450 anyday
