I’m curious about your floating dry fly leader. Is it’s buoyancy from the materials used or is it treated with something I should be worried about coming off?
Charles thank you, that’s a great question. This leader isn’t treated with anything to make it float, and t floats because of the buoyancy of the material.
Arthur great questions. No this line will not spook fish more than level line or tapered leader. You are adding tippet to the end to the fly as well. For the presentation it is going to land more softly naturally because the leader will lay straight out, and should fall straight down onto the water in sequence. This means it will not slap the water.
Useful video but can I suggest that it would have been better indoors with you wearing a dark t shirt. Some of the time it was just your hands waving about with the leaders all but invisible.
Just bought a few of your furled leaders for my 1 wt fly rod can't wait to try it !
Awesome we can't wait to hear about your adventures.
Will the big hogg 9-10 wt work okay for big flies on a 8wt? Or even medium carp flies?
The Big Hog will work great for big dry flies and nymphs. For streamers, I would move to the HOGzilla Leader.
@@MoonlitFlyFishing planning on weighted carp bugs and crayfish maybe up to size 4

@@MoonlitFlyFishing awesome, just ordered one. Can’t wait to tie on a few feet of 5X and hit my tiny creek.
all things being equal, will this leader spook more fish than a level line? does it land softly or is there finesse needed to get it to land softly?

Thank you for the feedback
Deficiente la fotografía, no se logra ver el objetivo de la nota, exceso de fondos, el líder no se puede ver.
Thank you for the insight. We are working on a new one.
