  • Correction (Alert):
In step 1, I have drawn the circuit with 4 ohm resistance in first loop by mistake. It is not considered in calculation, so calculation and final answer is correct.
Please consider the 4 ohm resistance beyond the first loop as shown in the question. Thanks for patience.
    About this video:
In this video, equivalent circuit is created using Thevenin's theorem. The circuit consist of Resistors, inductors and capacitors so it is an AC circuit. Thevenin's theorem for Ac and DC is same.
    Procedure:
    1. Find the Thevenin source voltage VTH by removing the load resistor from the original circuit and calculating the voltage across the open connection.
    2. Find the Thevenin impedance by removing all power sources in the original circuit (voltage sources shorted and current sources open) and calculating total resistance between open connection points.
    3. Draw the Thevenin equivalent circuit, with the Thevenin voltage source in series with the Thevenin resistance and load resistance.

To find Vth why you don't consider 4 ohm resistance

I have included 4 ohm resistor in the first loop by mistake. Observe, it is not in original question there. So it should not be drawn in first loop while calculating Vth.
So, overall calculation and hence answer is correct.

      Sir,while finding Vth,there is a resistor ( 4 ohm) in the 2 nd loop,but still it has not been considered.Why ??
The eqn of Vth has been written for only capacitor and 2 voltage sources but left the resistor ?????

@@GobikaRR the 4 ohm resistor will not considered as the voltage drop across resistor is zero as AB open ckt (current is zero).

I don't have ms series calci.
Check, does it have complex mode.
If it has, then select it and then go to equation mode and solve.
Otherwise you have to Solve it by Cramer's rule.
