But this match was an incredible performance...Li Na should have Ana's portrait on her wall because Serena most likely would have won the title were it not for Ana playing out of her mind in this one.
She was right there with the best, shot for shot. I wonder why she never won more slams or stayed #1? Injuries? Great match tactically and strategically.
I still go back to this match, I believe this is the best she's ever played beating Serena, she outplayed her. I loved seeing how she attacked so well on her return game.
Ana can strike the ball with the best of them. Serena is known for punishing her opponents with her forehand, but Anna struck the ball even harder than Serena.
Serena movement was so bad in this match. She lacks her normal explosiveness. She must have been nursing some injury. She still ended up having an incredible year.
