I want this one so bad God I was just gritting my teeth and and making fist with my toes as you were peeling those boil covers off of the cups. I definitely want this one. I love painting everything now and I’ve been watching you do your sketches and do all of the studio Gibley stuff and I’ve watched how you go about painting something first and then going back and hitting the whole thing with a second layer of leaves and brush and tree leaves and grass blades and all of this stuff and it has helped me out so much just to keep everything in an order of focused order in my mind of how to go about filling in Landscapes and just drawing again, I haven’t drawn anything in years and years and years and normally I would use watercolor and then I got into loose floral watercolor, and I could never make it do exactly what all of my favorite people do on RUclips that I follow and so recently, I made the choice to kind of switch over to gouache for a while. I am so glad I did because finally knowing that I can water the squash down to a tea or coffee, consistency, and get it due what I always try to get watercolor to do and it would never do it will shade and shadow to my heart content I am so pleased and so happy because, the most expensive thing while using wash is the wash itself I don’t have to spend a whole lot on my brushes. I’ve already got tons of brushes, but next is paper watercolor paper is so expensive and I do notice that a lot of wash artist use watercolor paper, but I don’t really have to unless I need I want to sell, one of my paintings eventually, I want to get there but for now I need to know what licensing companies want that artwork on I mean seems to really be working out for me so what I’m aiming for is just to get my work licensed by your card, companies and notebook, companies, and data planner companies. So thank you for being so incredibly great with your editing of your videos because that helps out a lot. If I can see everything you’re doing the amount of paint your mixing and the amount of water you’re mixing and what consistency what color is good to go over the top of another color all of that I’ve been just, staring and watching your videos for the last 48 hours and it’s helped me out in so many areas I can’t even thank you enough so thank you thank you thank you and I love the set. This set is amazing and I like how there are so many convenience colors I don’t have to stop and try to figure out how to make certain color it’s just there!
Wow, thank you for such an enthusiastic message! I'm so glad to hear that my videos have helped you get back into drawing and painting. It’s awesome that you’ve switched to gouache and are finding it works for you. I totally get the struggle with watercolor so it’s great you’ve found a medium that lets you achieve the shading and shadowing you love. I appreciate your kind words about my editing. It means a lot! Keep enjoying the creative process🎨
Omg your poor fingers. That was a work out 😂 some of those lids were so stubborn! That’s a beautiful set! I have a small set but I haven’t opened it yet, but seeing your videos makes me want to start painting!
Omg I totally feel you! My fingers were definitely sore from those stubborn lids 😂 But I’m so glad you think the set is beautiful. If you decide to open your small set I hope it inspires you to start painting it's such a fun and rewarding experience.
Imagine how accomplished a person would feel when they have made so many paintings that they used all of that up. It would be such a challenge to complete the whole thing. The available colors would change as you used them up and you would have to adapt and try new combinations.
It would definitely be a challenge to use up all those colors and adapting to new combinations would push creativity in exciting ways. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
I've watched other artists saying they don't like Himi gouache. Fair enough. Each to their own. I don't think they have seen your videos though and the beautiful art you create) THEIR LOSS Lol
Thanks for your support! It’s true that everyone has their own preferences but I’m glad you enjoy the art I create with Himi gouache. It’s all about finding what works for you 😊
I have the 48 one and the 56. I need to start using them before I grab this. Wanted the 112 set but I be wasting paint if I got it before using the 56 and the 48 one up. So, I'm just waiting for now. I need to paint more! btw, great video!!!!
Thank you so much 😊 I totally get it, those sets have so many colors. It’s a good idea to enjoy and explore them before diving into a bigger set. Happy painting and I’m glad you enjoyed the video 🎨
Thanks for sharing this video.❤ I got myself the same box after watching your video. 🙏 I too share same love for Studio Ghibli art and really love your paintings. I have a question, once you close the lid, does the color stick to the upper side of the lid if you use the handle. Mine did and seems it will ruin and mixup colors. Please do let me know.
@@Vrushali_21 So happy to know that🥹. Well yes the paint does stick a bit on the inside sheet. All you can do is remember in which direction of colors you close the lid. Remember that everytime when you close, that way colors won’t mix up. And keep the paint evenly spread in the container so it won’t pass onto the sheet too much. That’s what I’m doing for now🙈The sheet wasn’t there for set of 18 though so that wasn’t the problem before
i think its nice that they are quite cheap in comparison to other paints/brands, but the cup lids are just too cheap. my hands start too hurt in sympathy with yours watching you struggle. altough its very beautiful to look at, i wouldve wished the separated each cup so that you can sort them however you like...
I totally understand what you mean! The affordability is a great perk but those lids can be a bit challenging. My hands definitely felt the struggle too! 😅 but it's still a beautiful set to work with and I really enjoy using them🎨Also they have other set other than the twin cup set🙂
