He's not a troll (probably). When I first stumbled on Touhou music on youtube, I didn't really understand the artist naming conventions either. Didn't know what the hell a "circle" was in this context, or that really the artist I probably wanted was "Arranger", not "Composer", "vocalist", or the other instrumentalists that are sometimes randomly listed (a convention that's not consistent across RUclipsrs in their descriptions). But all that only makes sense if I know that the song I'm listening to is a fanmade (ah, so that's what doujin means) *arrange*ment of an originally *compose*d track from a Japanese videogame series. And that a circle is just a group of people who collaborate on these arrangements and contribute their vocal or instrumental talents to them, who then sell the albums at various events, e.g. Comiket (ah, so that's what the C82 or whatever number I keep seeing means!) Most people in this community, and in every domain on Earth, suffer heavily from the curse of knowledge. You've been fans long enough you don't remember what it's like to be beginners in the field. Now all this said, Nitori does an excellent job in his descriptions and is at least as good as any other Touhou youtuber in this area. My point is just that for people like Adrian to understand why it is not as "clear" who the artist and song are as it may be for other kinds of music ("Hotline Bling by Drake". wow, so clear!), they really need to go and read and understand other stuff first, like what Touhou is in general and the fact that so many people love it enough to produce fanmade arrangements ("remix" may be a more familiar term) of its soundtracks. I don't really know if a solution is needed or what it would even look like. Basically, the dude needs to go read Touhou wiki, or maybe even the entry on Touhou in wikipedia itself, but that might not be obvious if he just stumbled upon this as the first ever arrangement he's seen (maybe the title caught his interest). A link to touhouwiki in the description could work but will obviously be seen as unnecessary by most experienced fans, including myself. And clearly he can't explain the conventions and terminology every time. I guess for now the solution is just directing people to touhouwiki to read up on this stuff whenever they ask in a comment.
Or they can at least watch an informational videos just like this one. This one is made pretty recently but if you search on RUclips "what is touhou music" or "touhou" in general then you will get tons of results that will at least rescue you from your darkness regarding the matter you wanted to know.
