The bug was that the approval thresholds were too low, so the game would just assume you were in a relationship with him at various points of the game. Didn't mind since our pan-sexual disaster wizard was who I was going for anyway. There were also scripting errors with Gale in the first couple months where he would reference things that just didn't happen.
@@DamashiTheKaoticI got locked out of so many relationships because I figured talking to Gale 1 time wouldnt count as a committed relationship. Apparently it did.
"I think you can play as a bear?" How adorable... 😊 It's GOTY for a reason, but once you add mods to the mix the possibilities become endless, potentially endlessly trippy.
BG3 has incredible story and well written characters that actually have real character growth through the game. You can make them worse or better ppl depending on your choices during the narrative. You can be the best hero out there, a chaos gremlin or the worst murder hobo depending on what you choose 😅. Mechanics are incredibly fun and yes game relies on dice rolls for everything because it’s DnD based. Larian is not a small studio anymore, but they aren’t like the huge ones that make AAA games. BG3 is a complete game on sale right now on Steam, but was at full price for a while. It had an early access with only act1 available and there was hype for it among Larian fans and DnD fans but not hype in overall gaming world I don’t think. 🤔 Game was so good on release it created the massive positive response especially because act1 was very polished. Act3 of the game had issues with bugs on release but Larian was very responsive to feedback and releasing patches quickly and not only fixing bugs but also adding things ppl asked for, for free. We so far had 6 major patches that added content along with bugfixes and in patch 7 we will be getting official mod support for all platforms including ps5. This company has no monetary predatory practices and is very passionate about game creation. BG3 is also first game in history that won GOTY in all major game awards. And it’s no surprise this is a game that will remain evergreen for many years I think 😊.
You can pick up barrels and move them around at will, and so you can go around and set them all around enemies and then blow them up. It's called Barrelmancy. Yeah you can basically do whatever you want in this game.
Baldur's Gare is *Intrusive Thoughts: The Game* If you have a stupid/crazy idea with the game and its mechanics, no joke, 90% of the time you can *actually do it* Hell, there are entire bosses you can skip by having them game end themselves, provided your speech check is high enough.
Released as a completed game with no microtransactions. As soon as it released (it was in early access for a while) nobody could stop speaking about it. It was pretty clear it was going to win GOTY as soon as people started playing.
@@Mare_Man better than releasing the uncooked batter, saying it's done, only offering extra ingredients to those who pay more even though they are essential for the recipe original and being surprised why the game isn't doing well.
BG3 did not only win Game of the Year once, it has won best game at all five of the big award shows (Golden Joystick Award, Game Awards, BAFTA Game Awards, GDC and DICE). At the Joystick Awards BG3 was nominated in 8 categories winning 7, at the Game Awards they won 6 out of 9 nominations, DICE 5 out of 7 nominations, BAFTA 6 out of 11 and GDC 5 out of 8.

If you don't ever plan on playing the game yourself, then please watch Slimesicle's video on the game. Even if you don't react to it (fair its a two hour video), it's still a really really good video and will let you experience the story of this 80-100 hour game in a much shorter time frame
“Can you really do anything in this game?”
There’s a very good reason why it GOTY last year.
"Can you really do anything in this game, just like D&D?" Baldur's gate IS PART of D&D
I’m consistently shocked by people’s ignorance.
Dépends on the setting and the universe you use but yeah it is in the forgotten realms lol
@brilobox2 You can't expect people to know about such a niche thing
"That's not his name!"
You're right, but Fuck Wulbren Bongle, which Is his name.
Barcus deserves better
I'm pretty sure Gale the wizard being incredibly gay was due to a bug where he starts at high relationship with the player.

If you want more baldurs gate content to react to you should check out the "4 halfling barbarians" videos by okoii
“This game is massive.”
On average, a run for me that engages in a decent amount of the content is around 80 hours. It’s a big game, and very fun.

To better understand barrelmancy, i recommend the vid "4 Halfling Barbarians" by Okoii
Short answer Baldur's Gate is the capital city in the world and has major importance narratively in all the games it's featured in.
Actually it's just a very influential city-state of the setting it's in.
@@Desiremademanifest ah yea my b
When Max0r put this out I immediately started looking forward to your reaction.
So this is why South Park had an entire movie special about playing Baldurs Gate 3

Wild Magic is pretty much a chaos run. ANd not a mod
But if you're not installing the mods to add more random effects, are you really playing Wild Magic?
