A police officer who allows a mass murderer to draw on him without taking some kind of action is neither a hero nor a role model. He is certainly not obeying his training. He is either reckless or incompetent, and incredibly lucky in any case. Had the murderer taken the trouble to arm himself (which, the media reminds us regularly, is not inconceivable in Toronto) not only would the officer have been wounded, the suspect would now have access to the officer's weapons and car. I say nothing of the officer actually breaking contact with the suspect to go and turn off his siren. Thank goodness the murderer waited patiently for the officer's return.
@@bjohnston3659 Had he guessed wrong he would have unloaded directly into the guy. He was pointing at him the whole time. Unless the murderer is some sort of crackshot, drawing a gun and landing a hit on someone aiming directly at you, is not going to happen.
@@amoryblaine3292 I appreciate your position. I respectfully suggest you re-watch the video. Thanks for taking the time.
@@bjohnston3659 Because the murderer who just murdered people crashed his van, and was using a van- not a gun- to carry out the attack. The murderer was already visible to the Officer and holding some sort of non-gun looking object at the distance between the Officer and murderer, and drawing constantly trying to goad the Officer into killing him. The job of a police officer is to de-escalate, even if that means it's a possibility that they'll die. So he did his job, perfectly aside from being alone at the scene which is out of his control. Watch, the Officer gets out of the car with the murderer already pointing at him, not firing. The Officer at that point likely already knows they're unarmed.

What a waste of court time.
King of the Incels is going to jail.
And it has only taken.. wait for it... 3 Years.. Good job Canada..

I'm shocked that justin had the testicular fortitude to say no china. Here i was thinking he had no balls at all.
He doesn't, not a single liberal voted to call China out on its GENOCIDE.
They very quietly did nothing and let everyone think they did and the media ignored it as usual.
@@fps886797d How do you figure when it was a unanimous vote?
hmm and he didn't need a gun to commit this tragedy. Will we blame the van or the individual in this case? Will we hear "we need less vans to make sure this will never happen again"?
Yes, soon our esteemed PM and his minions will come out with a van buy-back program, and a list of banned vehicles. 😏
@@kato64 it's sad that some folks cannot use they thinking hat. When someone is set on harming people they will use whatever "tools" are available to achieve their goal. Humans unlike apes can use human ingenuity to engineer a plan and use whatever is available to them. In this case this person used what was available to him to commit these atrocities.
and there shall be great earthquakes, and in divers places famines and pestilences; and there shall be terrors and great signs from heaven. And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows; men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world: for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh.

He wasn’t rational, but he was aware of what he did.
@@BigCC16 As they say in England "he will be in prison at Her Majesty's pleasure".

@louren123 yeah, my mother threw a party on it, lmfao
Officer was literally doing the absolute best. He deserves a medal.
@@amoryblaine3292 With respect, sir, he was nothing more than lucky. Had he guessed wrong, there would have been more carnage.
The broadcaster will be commenting about the officer breaking contact while he walks over and leans in the car. When he gets back out, he is not only not on target, he is not even looking at the suspect who has the officer in view the whole time. As for his marksmanship, why would the officer bet his life on his ability versus the man who has just murdered people? At any rate I appreciate the polite exchange of views with you.
The judge refuses to say his name, I bet it's really long and has a lot of sylibols 😉🤫
45g's a year and he will be there for at least 25years = 1125000 million. If they don't parole him in the 25 years time it just keeps adding up. Isn't it funny that a person in Jail actually makes more than a person collecting Welfare or Disability?

Our U.S. Coastguard is there to protect your country since you can't. That is true of course but the main reason is a countries territorial waters only extend seven miles. Many countries besides Canadians and Americans fish on the Grand Banks are the Coast Guard is there to assist them.

They didn't catch him. He wanted suicide by police.
@@Free_Falastin2024 oh that’s right, I remember now because after seeing the report I commented to myself the cop should have shot him as it was very clear he was reaching for something in the video. The media acted like the cop was a hero for not shooting him and I was thinking, not really, what if he successfully grabbed another weapon and killed more people including the cop?? Plus, if the the cop would have justifiably shot him, the victims and their families would have been spared our joke of 3 years of a “justice” system followed by our joke of a prison system. The victims and their families will continually be mocked because we have no justice. So no, I don’t agree with the media about this cop being a hero.
