This is very interesting, Im a pigeon fancier for over 70 years I had a stock of about 20 Solid white rollers ,one day my son and his friend were tie dying some T Shirts and the had a pot of Purple dye, I took one of the Rollers and dipped its tail into the dye ,it looked great A White Roller with a Purple tail, I did them all ,no harm to the bird and when they were flying and spinning beautiful ,by the end of the summer when the molt was over they were back to white Rollers.
There are clubs in almost all cities, provinces of Spain which compete regionally. Winners moving onto bigger competitions against pigeons in other regions.Finally ending with a National competition.

Vegetable dye doesn’t harm the bird.
