Nintendo Switch is really amazing. Probably my favorite console already. Its everything and its nice to just take ur controller and it will open ur tv and switch to the right setting.
No one has really mentioned one of the neatest things about the Switch is that it's the first handheld with rumble feature.

The last one can be done in a fraction of the time by simply changing grip order under controller settings. Instead of taking Joy-Cons out of grips, or possible steering wheels, Every player just needs to press the top L+R triggers in the order they would like to play. Just saying.

different buttons make different sounds when you unlock the switch

I found that out on the first day. I always enjoyed it over just having it on display the whole time.
Or you can just set your switch to show that all the time (on the home screen). I personally prefer that, as I don't want to accidentally damage the battery. I really hope it's going to last a long time.

You can adjust brightness and some other things by holding down HOME mid-game. Pretty useful little trick that keeps your game view up, which can help when you don't want to drop out of an online game (staying on the home menu during online sessions can get you D/C'd if you're on there for too long)

Actually, you only have to press the hone button like you would do normally, so no holding the button is required.

For me I just have to get a green light on the controller from moving the joycon a bit or pushing any of the buttons and it turns on the switch and the TV
6th thing you might not know: your TV doesn't actually take a full four seconds to notice that you've docked your Switch, if you stop routing your signal via a frigging Mars satellite.
At my house, it's instantaneous. Just use a short cable, dude. There's one included in the box, actually.
As a switch owner, i can confirm that this is what we are doing with our consoles. Because that's the most fun you can have after Zelda.
You don't have to hold the Home button to turn the console on, just push it. Also, as long as you have the proper settings your TV will turn on and turning the TV off will put the Switch to sleep. That's how mine works, too. Also, you don't have to hit the button three times when it's docked, only in portable mode.
You can fidget on the OS Menu by tapping anywhere there isn't a button repeatedly. It will make more than one popping/tapping sound. It feels oddly satisfying.

1. I dunno how you did the video thing; if its an extension of the "Secret browser" or you somehow got it to play video files.
2. I knew about the Switch turning on the TV's power because I saw the option in the menu. However, the fact that you can turn on the console by pressing the HOME button is a hidden nugget of info that I only discovered accidentally myself.
3. This seems to have no use at all. In fact, your example literally defeats the entire purpose of "hiding" the dock. For starters, just having the console on the floor with a wire sticking out of it is a lot less tidy looking than the sleek looking dock. And, then using the stand to keep the dock elevated... if you're going to use a peripheral to do that... why not just use the dock? It looks nicer, it's easier to use and it has added functionality of additional USB connections.
4. Is interesting... but I don't really see a use for this. (Although I find it odd that LAN play is kind of a hidden feature.)
5. Probably the most useful tip in the video. I didn't realize that just tapping the SYNC button turned off the controller. That can come in handy.

Another thing. If you're switch tablet is in sleep mode. Try putting the tablet in the dock. It'll then automaticity turn on the TV

If you want a specific Joy-Con combo that isn't in stores, there's a customiser on the Japanese store. Buy it there, have some company ship it to you, boom, you have the Splatoon green and Mario Odyssey red Joy-Cons in the box

No need to hold the home button. Just push it, that's all.

I do have one question tho. You show how easy it is to change the player order via sync button. But is there any way to simply change the way joycons are used ?
So if I have 2 joycons connected to switch, working as one controller (with a grip or whatever), and then want to disconnect the two, and reconnect them individually, each its own player? By default, switch remembers how the controllers were used, and expects you to connect the right joycon too if you connected just the left one, to form one controller.

how are you able to use an extension cable AND lan adapter? me and a lot of others are struggling with the fact when you use an extension cable to get the switch out of the dock the usb ports won't work for the lan adapters
