Awesome video Chris!
I always enjoy your content and sometimes wonder if you truly know how much of an impact you're making in the pool community!
Always a pleasure to watch. Keep up the great work brother! 👍😊 🎱
Thanks Tony! I do my best to explain everything I've learned about the game and the equipment!
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer You Really are Great Props to you and Backwards Billiards.
This review is just in time.. Been looking to replace my jump break cue tip. Thanks Chris..
Amazing video Chris, I actually am in the market for a new tip for my break cue. I've been thinking about switching out my phenolic tip for a bit of time. Interestingly enough I've had two tips on my mind The Horo Black and the Taim 2.0.
Thanks for the great video it definitely looks like you get a bit more action out of it.
I’ll be getting one soon on my new break cue and jump cue. I don’t like the phenolic tips. Great video.😊 Thanks
Looks like a great break/jump tip!
It is. I have it on my action jump/break, and it's excellent.
That 3rd Break with the New Tip, Reminds me of when I was 13 And I was Playing Pool, They had a Rule that you had to Pay if the Ball or Cue hit the Ground,The Cue Ball Jumped the Rail so I had to Pay.
the taom 2.0 and the bullet proof tips are amazing. they both really get some hop on the cue ball. the taom is a little harder than the bullet proof and the bullet proof gets a little better spin. can't go wrong with either one. both are great for breaks and jump cues. the bullet proof actually makes a good playing tip as well
I just got into the sport, and I'm operating on a budget, but I picked up one of those bulletproof break tips for when I needed it, eventually. The other day, my buddy dropped my break cue, and the tip popped off, giving me an excuse to put it on early. After reading your comment, I'm even more excited to try it out than I already was. The only issue I have with it is that I have to assume that if they didn't send a fabric patch, a silicone patch, and a sticker with it they could have charged me a little less. 😆
Good Morning Chris I might be changing my tip to a Taom 2.0 in the near future…
How do you know how much you are cutting from the tip, from left to right, so that it will not go through the ferrule? Does it have some sort of stopper that you set from the thickness of the ferrule. Hope my question makes sense.
Yeah when I was breaking during a game I hit too much bottom and chipped my tip then my friend did the same thing
What felt do you recommend for 8ft Bruswick? Simonis 760 860 860HR or a different brand? Pool table has big pockets. I want something that allows for alot spin but i dont have to hit the cue ball super slow to avoid over postioning the cue ball. What kind of felt is on this table?
I bought a used break stick from an pool league opponent and was very satisfied with how I broke with it I played maybe 7 or 8 weeks of one night a week league pool and was up for my first game of our match n it was my break I broke and the tip went flying off I had another tip put back on it by the guy I bought it from I was at the pool bar with my break n jump cue where we play league setting up a 9 ball rack and was going to break an practice by myself since I was first one there on my team Well I broke the 9 ball rack and after only making no more than 3 dozen breaks with the new tip and it flew off I'm waiting on it to be put back on but talk about bad luck on tips

Hey Chris. Thanks for everything you put out on this great game. One quick question… Did the white tip mark up your table? I’m interested in purchasing one but have heard about that characteristic? Thanks in advance for your help. Mark.
The tip does not leave marks on my table.
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer thank you so much for taking the time to reply!
I see that Taom has two chalks, Pyro and V10. Do you know which is cleaner? I currently use an OB chalk and it leaves hella marks on the cue ball.
I have both the Pyro and V10. I'm currently using up what I have left of the Pyro before I start using the V10. The Pyro is very clean and from what I'm hearing/seeing from my locals that use the V10 it is just as clean.
can you do a video on your lathe machine? where did you get it and how much?
All videos where I've used my lathe can be found in this playlist

I bought it from CueSmith

Can you do a comparison between that Taom 2.0 and a Bulletproof tip? Break, jump, and control test and which one is better in each test.
he wont do it as Taom pays him to say positive things about it
@@romybuenaventura3133 so it would be a rigged comparison
Hey chris.. i would like to ask.. can you change s jump/break tip manually?? Can it be done?? Thanks in advance..
I don't see why not. I would imagine it would be a longer process when you don't have the tools that make easier and quicker, but it still can be done.
My friend told me gorrila glue is the good stuff when it comes to gluing on tips
Curious what is the tip shaper you are using? Would love to try one out. Thanks.
This is the automatic tip shaper I use

Thanks
I really hate bragging, but I did tell you it was good 😉
If i may ask..
Can you put the link of the lathe you are using.... I'm really loving it ..
Thank you .
This is the lathe I have

Hi Chris, do you think it's worth it replace the current phenolic tip on my Avid Surge I recently bought to the Toam 2.0 Tip, I have an extra one laying around and I'd lowkey have a budget cynergy breach, but I want to know your opinion as well, you probably won't respond since this comment is late, but I want to know from you! I'm an Skill level 4 who plays on nine footers in CPA (Canadian APA) I already have a decent break with a good spread, had a few B&R's and practice and ran the table once on an opponents dry break, do you feel like this tip could help me improve my breaks with an already good spread, control and finding easier pots after the break?
I wouldn't say that a break tip isn't going to make that much of a different as to "improving your breaks" versus another break tip. The difference is apparent if your break cue has a shooting tip on it, then there will be a difference (improvement) in your breaks and the tip will last much longer.
i would like to see how round the taom tip is. thank you!
You can see how round the tip comes before I shaped it in the video. The thumbnail of this video shows how rounded I made it on my lathe.
Lil Chris I've been considering looking at a Lathe to do some of this. How much does it cost to get started?
Lathes can be pricy. This is the one I have
www.cuesmith.com/the-mid-size-cue-smith-with-sliding-headstock/
Yeah they are. Still may be interested. Thanks!
Hey Lil’C! Any chance you can make a video without using the tools? Would really like to see a “how to” with just simple items. Thanks!!! Also, hope to see a vid soon!! 😊
I haven't taken the time to learn how to replace a tip by hand. However, @DrDaveBilliards made a great video on this topic ruclips.net/video/ta5M0uCKkZU/видео.html
How much cost the pool table ?

Have you had any break tips pop off you have installed?
I've had a couple pop off that I've installed. Break tips give me the most trouble in getting them to stay on.
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer what kind of glue do you use on break tips
What would hapen if that occured during an official match?
I'd have to start breaking with a different cue.
Tough luck, hopefully you have another shaft. Or someone is nice enough to let you borrow theirs. Or, if you have the time put a new tip on manually and make it pretty later.
One thing you must always include on break tips...does it hold chalk?? Or Is it like a phenolic tip... barely holds chalk????
If you use the Taom V10 the phenolic tips hold it really well.
@@GreenQueenSD mezz smart chalk is better for break tips. I tried the v10 already. But thanks
It did not appear to be a failure of the original tip but rather a failure of the glue used to install it. It seems odd to me that there was no residual glue left on the tip or the cue after the tip fell off.
The original tip lasted 7 years, so I don't the failure was the glue. It was just time for it to happen.
He said it was 7 years, that's pretty good life from a tip. At that age you wouldn't expect any glue to be left. It's like a car part. When you finally rplace it after 5-10 years depending on what it is, you're surprised how it's even still there.
have you tried any of the taom tips for playing cue?
Not yet... That's coming up here soon
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer Good tips they grab the cueball very nicely. And the jump break is amazing I have it on my propel jump cue. I’m considering putting one on my rush now after seeing this video.
These tips leave skid marks on your table when contacted with the felt.
Well the tip is not supposed to contact the felt so there's that. And uh, every tip leaves skid marks when they contact the felt.
Uhh no they don’t not as bad at these. Got rid of it quick .
My bk3 broke like crap...that was my worst break cue to date....I can't believe people actually liked them...my house cue broke better!!!!
I broke with my playing cue for 2 years. It had an everest tip on it, medium/hard so the tip was okay. It broke very well once i learned to properly break. Then someone brought in some cheap break cue with a proper tip on it, and i never used my playing cue again. 9/10 times a bad break is because of a bad rack. The other 1/10 is because of a miscue.
*_WHATS UP WITH LIL CHRISTINA AND HER VOICE. DOES HE OR SHE HAVE A COLD?_*
it is not the tip, it his how you stroke the cue, but again Taom pays you to demonstrate it.....money talks
It's both, actually. Would you break with a Kamui super soft? Yeah, I thought not. Cheers.
dont talk like you know everything buddy
@@867star i agree on you
Sometimes it is in the tip. I will break with my Playing cue sometimes, because it has a medium hard tip on it. I would not break with my other shaft because it has a kamui black soft on it. The tip 100% matters. But now I have a break cue, so what evs. But putting a Taom tip on it is definitely in the cards, cause it's not a top of the line cue. It's just a run of the mill cue.
Your table is small and your break sucks. Doesn’t matter what tip you’re using.
Yes it does.... Would you break with something soft..? Didn't think so....
Did you wax and burnish the break tips like you would a regular tip?
Not with break tips. I just make sure to scuff the top so chalk will stick.
