Wow!! This song always reminds me of my late father, Eugene White Thunder and my late Grandfather, Edward White Thunder along with my late Uncle Bob White Thunder...may they Rest in Paradise.......thank you for making this video, it is inspiring as well as educational.......
My husband, KD Edwards, used to sing at the big drum a long time ago, with lots of older Cheyenne men who are now gone. He would tell me about them. Men like Roy Nightwalker, Sr., and he was friends with David Fanman, Sr., who used to MC. There were others, but I can't remember their names.
Beautiful.. still moves me after all these years. Reminds of dances at old Fonda community hall. Been years but it still lives in me. My grandfather's proud people.
Annes Embroidery I did. No more need be said to such idiots and otherwise time wasting juvenile troll trash. Off topic and out of step with all things pure and trrue. Thankyou Anne.
@@1BigCREE1Redtail that ridiculous troll would be terrified to say that in person. That's why it should be ignored. Btw, man, i would love to shoot this! I have the perfect spot worked out...
I got to hear him sing this song many, many times in my life. Moses traveled with my family (KD Edwards, Comanche) more than a few times when I was younger to go sing at powwows, he and my father were friends for a very long time. My condolences on his passing, and also my father has now gone on a few months ago as well. They’re up there singing together, enjoying themselves, waiting for us. It was an honor to be around Moses, and they got to see each other and sing one more time before he went. He was at a memorial gourd dance at Concho for a pueblo gentleman who was married into our Jennings relatives. We’re Suhtaio, descendants of White Buffalo, who was Black Kettle’s brother. However, we were raised Pawnee, but I do honor my Cheyenne side by being a member of Warshield society.

I am French, not native at all! but the Cheyenne of the north have a privileged place in my heart since very small, there is a fragment which comes to me from home which was placed there in my soul, this fragment teaches me the nobility and humiilté and warms me the heart when I'm sad and I cherish it day after day thanks again to Mr Conrad Fischer for his songs and the rhythm of his drum ... the drum is important for me, it's good for me ... I never finish without greeting and send my best thoughts to all my relationships, and I always conclude by the cheyennes of the north, that these pink auras that leave the heart of my drum towards you can do you good ... I pray that the younger generations find the strengths, the resources and the heart that allow them to dance their dreams" greetings

I listen to this and I miss my home, the Reservation. You can leave the Rez, but the Rez doesn't leave you.
