You're correct. 2009 saw a new director, and the program quickly diminished after that year. Students and parents did not receive the new director well, as well as an unmotivated principal with only cash to give to the football team. There's a lot of things that went into it, too many to tell here briefly. 2012 was their last year, and they didn't make it past semi-state, for the first time in almost 20 years. Shame...
@@Bowden57 That's a shame! It really is. We were 2nd place that year. We have to do all our own fundraising, and Open Class is expensive. Do you know who the drill writer for this show was?
@@samlewis5285 Band director was Bret Winternheimer, he now directs at Munster. I don't know who made the drill. Yeah, we did our own fundraising as well, however with a large drop in participants and less motivation in general, less students and parents volunteered to man the stands. It became more painstaking to do the fundraisers.
Wish they would march again! Why are they not?! Football is more important! But hey many good sport schools have great marching bands! Come back Marching Titans!!!
What a GREAT performance!!!
What happened to this 3 time Class C State Champion Band program? Last ISSMA finals appearance was 2011??? Any information would be appreciated.
