This guy going to have one hell of a yard sale one day
OH yeah
The silicone coke bottle mold, I would not use for ice. However I would use it to make fun coke bottle jello, hard candy, chocolate candies, soaps, scented wax, or just about anything you’d use a silicone mold for.
Also coke bottle shaped gummies😋😃✌
I think they’re shaped that way so you can pop ‘em into the narrow neck of a Coke bottle!
I would make mini resin Coke bottle magnets with it.
Silicone molds have been used to make ice trays, although for much bigger cubes/shapes, but of course you could give it other uses, as long as the silicone is food grade of course.
I bought a Tetris themed silicone ice tray way back in mid 2018 for 6 bucks + tax on ebay, been using it constantly since, zero signs of age or wearing down. If you're living on your own, or just like Tetris for me, while it can be a bit hard to find them as they've been discontinued for a while now, i'd recommend getting one regardless. "iceblox tetris ice tray" on google should yield a few results, as of posting the comment there's one listing on ebay for 9$. Again, hard to find, but i'd definitely recommend getting one, if anything it's just neat to have.
8:00 Just as a heads up, the battery is likely 2200 mAh, but you'll get losses from stepping the output up to 5V (and then back down to 3.7 in the phone), also heat losses. General rule is 1.4x your phone's capacity to get one full charge. (So for a 3300 mAh battery like yours, you're talking a ~4600 mAh bank needed.)
thank you! didn't know this. I wish product specs were clear on this
I think the cup keeping something hot four hours should have been left on the counter at room temperature. It didn't say that it would keep it hot in the refrigerator. Most people put their hot drink in a cup and take it with them somewhere and drink their coffee over the course of a few hours. So the ambient temperature needed to be more close to room temperature in my opinion
People drink hot drinks most frequently in cold weather
@@MattMcConaha most people drink coffee everyday, hot or cold outside. I'm sure that would be a decent text for people out in the cold. But even taking coffee to work, you will only be outside from your car to the office. Leaving it in a cold fridge 4 straight hours is not really a real world situation (for most)
But you put it in the fridge. What if you leave it at room temperature for 4 hours. Does it stay hot then?
Right!!! Not a real world test!
For a real test, leave it in a bag in the car for 4 hours.
In a winter cold snap.
My Zojirushi passed.
Oh, *that* coke
For sure the glasses are the winner just wish they were polarized
Were, not where.
big ugly $2 gas station glasses for $12 were not a winner
You put it in the fridge, then ruled it a failure when it got cooler lol. Why not try it at room temp?
I thought it was weird too when I heard him say he was going to put it in the fridge. Normally the hot/cold ratings are meant for how long it should last at room temp.
It looks like the coke ice cubes could fit in a 20oz bottle or in a soda can. So for that purpose, it could be useful.
I think that's the intended use.
That would mean you would have to drink about a quarter of the soda (warm) or pour out about a quarter before adding them in. And with how small the sodas are you have to think, is it really worth it for that price.
I was hoping he would fill the ice tray with COKE instead of ice !!
Let’s be honest it’s junk
you could also use it to make chocolate or candy etc I guess.
I can see the utensil set being handy for people who need a set to take to work or to travel.
I've got a Gudetama branded set of utensils (fork, spoon, chopsticks) that's even smaller than the coke set. It's great for carrying in your lunchbag, purse, or pocket, and I take them to work every day. It's a surprisingly useful thing to keep around.
@@GaaraLover1792 I not long got myself a set of travel cutlery to keep in the car for when I am away from home
You could use the coke mold for resin crafts too.
Or as a chocolate mold
Merry Christmas to you and yours, James. Thanks for another year of helpful and sometimes hilarious reviews!
The glass looked kind of small, as did the slushy maker. Curious how many ounces each held.
The sunglasses should have a bottleopener on the arm
Merry Christmas James and to your family, including the furry lady Bailey herself .
Bailey is female? I had no idea. I always assumed it was a dude!
i assume Bailey was non binary
@@notoriousbastards11 You're wrong. Bailey's pronouns are Bailey and Bailey 😂
You should get a UV flashlight in order to be able to test any sunglasses you review for uv protection as well as using the polarization card.
Just take two pairs and place them perpendicular and see if you can see anything through the lenses before buying
@@adrianjtarrant UV protection is separate from polarization. You can have glasses tested at a store/optometrist or use the flashlight test with US currency or something else which reacts to UV radiation.
That's what I was thinking but there's actually UV test cards that you can easily get from Amazon (you only need one), I got one and used the UV testing card and it works great (apparently the sunglasses I had that I tested did not have UV protection as the claims said). I read that it's more harmful to the eyes if the sunglasses don't have UV protection than if not wearing any sunglasses because while wearing sunglasses your eyes dilate and you are intaking more UV light if the sunglasses are not actually protecting you from the UV compared to not wearing sunglasses at all.
Lol Bailey lurking during the utensil test made me laugh
My sister's daughter got version of that slushy maker for Christmas. She seemed to like it.
I'm never this late to one of James' video's. It has been a crazy day in the Chicago area
today. Merry Christmas, James and to Brandon and Noah too. 🎄🎄🤗🤗
Use the ice cube tray to make chocolates or other candy?
I once had one of those specific steel bottles, picked it up at a Bed Bath and Beyond 7 or 8 years ago and became my favorite bottle to use.
Lost it in a move a few years after that and haven't found anymore since.
Insulated coffee mugs... a must. I've shoveled in the winter with my cup of coffee warm to the last sip:)
Great video as always. Although it'd be great if you include Celsius measurings in the video as well.
Merry Christmas. Do more food reviews!
I had no idea there was a Coke store.
Merry Christmas, thanks for the content
I noticed the Clearwater Beach Tshirt. Great place. We spend a couple weeks there every year. We actually stay down the beach about 20 minutes at Indian Rocks Beach. It's quieter for the over 50 crowd but close enough to everything. Cheers!
I paused at the hot test of the coke tumbler. Who is going to make a hot drink and put it in the fridge for 4 hours? I don't think that was a very fair test for that, Maybe leave it sitting on the counter for 4 hours and see then?
This Canadian will make a hot drink and take it to the hockey rink!
@@amandahodgin9316 That makes sense, make a hot/cold drink and take it with you, NOT make a hot drink just to put in the fridge for 4 hours.
It was put in the fridge to simulate taking into cold environments.
I rarely worry about my coffee or cocoa staying hot in the New Orleans summer... but in New York City winters, it is COLDER than the inside of a fridge... so, yeah... putting it in the fridge IS a good simulation for those who don't live in tropical climates.
No, James was NOT implying that people make hot beverages, then store them in a refrigerator.
🤦🏼♀️
Good vid, the slushie is great, the next time you use it it should already be in the freezer waiting so won't have to wait 18 hours again.
"soft-touch" coatings became very popular several years ago, but those coating break down over time. So, after a couple of years, you no longer have "soft touch" you have STICKY touch!
That is one of my pet peeves
coke bottle ice cube tray: still makes more ice than the ice genie 🤣
I might stipulate for those vacuum insulated hot cold mugs and containers, they need to be pre-heated. we have a brand here in Australia called Thermos, their instructions state you need to pre-heat the internal steel liner for 10 minutes with boiling water prior to putting your hot food in to have it hot for the guaranteed time. Although it’s insulated the inner layer of stainless steel acts as a heatsink untill it matches the temp of what contacts it and sucks the heat out of your food. The pre-heating heats that stainless steel to a hot level so when your food goes in it is no longer colder to suck the heat away. Then even in a fridge or very cold conditions the food will still come out hot many hours later, I have eaten soup out of mine after 3 1/2 hours and still burnt my tongue.
I second this.. I have a 2l thermos canteen that I use to have nice hot tea all day.. and you need to preheat it to have it keep to close to 100c all day..
I did as Freakin did and not preheat and chucked in the fridge.. it was at 17c when i was done after 12hours (which my flask/canteen says it keeps thing hot), so i can see his tiny can thing being the same
Thermos is a pretty popular brand in the US, too. Actually, it's historically the most popular brand, "Thermos" is one of those genericized trademark names here.
Love the Clearwater Beach shirt! No place like home!
$11 for the sunglasses isn't bad at all. Similar generic wayfarer sunglasses at Walmart, without the Coke branding, is the same price.
But do these cheap sunglasses filter UVA and UVB?
I used the mini ice cube tray to make bite size fun shaped chocolates. Worked great.
The utensil set reminds me of the ones that came with my mess kit in the military, only those are bigger.
Looks like the pocket utensils are sometime sold as being for kids and without the Coke logo it is sometimes $4 cheeper.
Zoku has a line of "pop tools" that would make an interesting review.
This was cool and very different from your other videos. The products were interesting. I wonder if you poured Coke into the silicon mold if it would freeze. That might be fun to stick those into a coke or even a mixed drink.
Merry Christmas to you, Brandon and Noah ❣️
I haven't seen that much coke in one place since the last time I watched Scarface.
😂😢😮
Cool, I love notepads too! Can never have enough!
I don't think 48 degrees is cold enough after 12 hours. The danger zone for foodborne illness is 40-140, and who knows how quickly it crossed that 40 degree threshold. With water or soda it'd probably be fine, but if you had iced milk tea or something I'd strongly advise throwing it out.
Back when coke still did points I got the ice cream scoop. Pretty sure its the same. It works as a scoop buttt after a year or two I found the metal pits. Idk what metal they use but it isnt particularly corrosion resistant
Dollar tree had those old fashion glass cups for a dollar waaaaay before they changed the price to $1.25 but the coke store were selling it for like $13 or so. 😂
The coke bottle ice cubes will fit into a bottle of Coke.
I just saw that last item at a rural grocery store for $19.99. Thanks for the reviews!
That power bank was absolutely pitiful. Scamming people out of their hard earned money by a billion dollar company is the American dream.
Why was it a scam? Did Coca-Cola lie on the packaging?
The best way to see if it keeps something hot for 4 hours is if you leave it out not if you put it in the fridge. Most refrigerators are in a 5 or 6 degree Celsius meaning it's as if you put it in call winter area and let it sit there for the period of time.
Interesting novelty items 😊
That mold could be used for candy, chocolates 🍫 or resin crafts
The knife, fork, spoon things look perfect for camping...
I'd use that as a chocolate mold
But can we get a soup recipe 👀 because that looked really good.
The Zolu utensil set is $15 on Amazon without the Coke logo.
Another test for polarized lenses is to look at an LCD display. You will learn why pilots can't use polarized sunglasses.
Woah hey 5:40 what was the second pair of glasses with the adjustable level of tint??
funny the Utensils made by ZOKU can be found on Amazon for 15.99 so at the coke store you are paying an extra 5 for the name stamp on the case and you can buy the coke versions on Amazon as well. I guess ZOKU has a good agreement with Coke to make a few products.
Plastic straw and inner lid with hot water in 😂we’re calling bpa to leach in the drink I don’t judge the book by its cover but this time I will 😳
Didn't realize we had one here in Vegas lol Great Video
Understandable. It only recently opened 25 years ago, in 1997. Pretty recent.
@@Locutus come on, maybe it’s not near where he lives
@@grifftrain Have you been to Las Vegas?
Liked the footage inside the Coke store!
Last time was there, all I bought was a sack-style backpack. Which I do use a lot, all things considered. I almost buy that usb battery.
What would the Coke thermos hot test show if you left it at room temperature and not dumping it into the fridge?
Was thinking that too.
it probably would've worked as advertised, these vaccum flasks are resistant to heat loss/gain but not imperveious, and will definitely speed up heat loss or gain if the temp in the environment is significantly higher or lower than the interior temp.
You guys, James lives in Las Vegas where it’s hot. A person who lives in a cold place could have taken the cup and put it in a car on a winter day (maybe below 32 F) to test it and see if it stayed warm. Obviously if the weather isn’t that cold in Vegas, James can’t so he used the fridge instead which is usually around 40F.
The unbranded utensils cost $15.99 so it looks like you are paying $4 to have the coke logo on the holder.
The way I tell if glasses are polarized is I put them on and look at my phone while rotating the phone...if they are polarized the phone screen will dim at certain degree rotation.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
The ice cube tray is interesting, think maybe you could use it for jello to make jello shots??
I wish we had the polarization card when I worked at the eye doctor.
Not what I had in mind when I saw coke store in Vegas..
I was wondering when stores started selling grams and 8 balls, lol
A Coke Spoon! LOL
Its hot and sunny here in Australia, I now feel like a slushy
Lucky you, it's freezing and snowy over here in America.
@@fourearwolf3315 it's not too bad here in Tucson Arizona it was raining today
This is absolutely bizarre. Corporations are supposed to give this kind of junk for free or at heavy discounts so that people use it despite the branding, not the other way around.
I have the ice coke bottle maker but i use it with jello, fudge and a few other treats.
The ice cube tray you could probably use to make your own coke flavoured gummy bottles
Looks like the coke store at the museum in Atlanta
Zoku sounds like Goku's long lost brother lol
I'm glad you washed those:)
how bad you gotta be to pay coke to be a walking advertisement for them
add green tint to the ice cubes for old school effect
I think the cutlery set is meant to be a metallic version of the plastic ones which are also generally small.
I think the ice tray would be awesome for resin or candy making reasons
Pretty sure when it says hot for 4 hours they mean when you leave it in normal room temperature putting it in the fridge is of course gonna make the temps drop since you cooled the metal.
But that's not how people always use thermoses. You're carrying them outside, and often you're carrying them into much colder temperatures than a fridge
Missed opportunity to put the coke ice in steal cup. Next time!!!
6:17 2200 mAh is nowhere near enough for a phone's full charge. Most phones come with a 4000+ mAh battery.
The slushy maker is my favorite.
The coke ice cubes would be nice for whisky or something small
I feel like they missed a huge opportunity with the coke bottle power bank to put the USB port in the TOP so that it's like the phone is drinking the bottle of soda, AND you could rest it upright! Why did they put it in the bottom!? Infuriating!
My brother has worked for coke for 20 years.
" The Coke Store . 'Thought he said coke store . "
I'd sooner use that coke ice cube tray as a mold for candy or chocolate!!
The ice cube bottles look like a choking hazard imo.
This just seems so dystopian to me.
Never thought I’d see a bugle t shirt on this! Hail Zaltzman!
Great review James, Love the star of the show, Bailey, he was hoping to get a taste of your lunch............................
Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas to you too!
Am I the only one who thinks the bottle ice cubes look like floating dead fish? lol
You made me so jealous with this video, James!! I'm a big Coke fan (although I've have to drink Coke without sugar and caffeine for years now (but with taste!! haha)) and now that I saw your vid I wish I could be there, but can't travel due to my illness and old age ;-(
And unfortunately I don't have any family or friends in the USA who could send me such nice Coke-things. So bad luck!!
I would love to have such notepads or Coke-can or magnets if I could go to that store hihi.
Enjoy all the fun your country has to offer, dear James, because that's lucky!! Warm and cordial greetings, also to your kids. Pinkie from Belgium
The ultimate Coke Experience!
The coke "ice cube tray" may just be molds for making coke shaped candy or chocolate.
That’s a very good point. Another reason why he needs a woman as part of his RUclips channel
@@dcwatashi there's plenty of women testing out products. Go watch one of those.
@@WiseGuy02 good thing James can take critique because you certainly can’t. Obviously you have not been following him as long as I have he has women help him throughout his RUclips career.
Yeah.
