Su dances with the most dedication and expression, and no matter how many people are there we can always spot her. The man in the white shirt dancing in the front row is a legendary fan.
Yea she got unique moves and energy, she also got "double jointed" arm or whatever they called to spot her right away, when watching ASH clips is more easy to recognize her among all the girls.🤪🤘
Their names are, in age order: Ayami (the class president) Ayaka (the tallest one togheter with Airi) Airi Suzuka Raura Marina Nene Hinata (the one at the center with Yui and Moa at the start) Yui Moa
Great reaction, that was fun. You have pretty much all the info now ... and this was the same show, Sakura Gakuin's first (unless there were two that day and this was the second), where BABYMETAL also made their live stage debut performing 'Doki Doki Morning'. Apparently White T-shirt guy bought tickets for something like 20 of his friends just to make sure Sakura Gakuin would get a good start and so that the girls would have an audience to play to. He knows all the moves - specifically Suzuka's moves - and dances along every time. I'm impressed you spotted Yui and Moa immediately - even more impressed that you recognised Su so quickly, I don't think I have seen anybody spot her so quickly (most never do until they're told later that it was her).
6:14 The BabyMetal logo consists of three patterns - skull, hearts, wings. Represents Yui, Moa, Su. Every time I see the skull on the logo I miss Yui. 🦊
This is interesting as a historical document as it's an early performance by SG that is just dance...the singing is on the backing track and the title means "Bring it! Sailor Uniform". Yui and Moa are very "smol" and Su can be identified by her 150% effort and ability to look gangly when she's just 5' tall, she's on the RHS, 2 long hair bunches, and hunched shoulders, you got it right at 2:04. It also shows all the individual "Mono Comme Ca" T-shirt designs; Moa's hearts, Yui's skull and Su's flower. You mention the crowd and on the RHS next to the stage you will see the infamous "White T-shirt" guy who is as enthusiastic as Su. The song is the opening to the Lucky Star anime and the dance is loosely based on the movements the characters do in that opening. It's more of an early practice performance piece to get the girls all dancing together and is not an SG song. Here is that opening from the cartoon ruclips.net/video/6iseNlvH2_s/видео.html Next, this is a great version from a B-Boy festival where a line of amateur dancers are joined by a professional dancer, Atsuki, and the combination is joyous...particularly the timing of the last dancer in the chorus line. ruclips.net/video/i7JXckPt0d4/видео.html Finally to see an even younger Su check out her Karen Girls performances. This one is "Over the Future" which BM covered. ruclips.net/video/pdGmWh75Uh4/видео.html Lets see if this survives with all the links ;-)
Yep, that was Yui-chan, Moa-chan and Su-chan, nice spot with the teeth clue lol This was one of their first if not the first live performance as a Sakura Gakuin group with all of them, but don't quote that on me, like i told you before i just know a few things here and there. They were having already BabyMetal first song (Doki Doki Morning) while performing this, you can even see Yui, our _angel of dance_ with the skull t-shirt and Moa with the hearts (of course she's the _angel of love_ for a reason ❤️) And like you noticed Moa is the one without dance background unlike Yui and Suzuka, that's why she relies all the choreo on her energy level and facial expression. Iirc there's a SG documentary backstage footage of them practicing this along with more things including rare official clips of BM rehearsal, or we also could say the "heavy metal club". This song is rare remix version of a famous anime opening series called "Lucky Star", some of the original choreo moves were kept when doing this cover. Motekke! Sailor Fuku (もってけ!セーラーふく) (English: Take It! Sailor Clothes) There's a live version of this song sang by the original singers Aya Hirano, Emiri Katō, Kaori Fukuhara. Thanks a lot for sharing this, as you can see the girls were starting the path of a great career, all of them superladies now. Btw you missed Suzuka's 25 birthday a few days ago but thanks anyway for being around with us, The One, sharing this special month for us, double special for me.🥳🎊🎂🏆⚽
Glad you have fun. Although SG were disbanded last year, there's a group under Amuse wing and with former SG members, one of them is Kano Fujihira, she was a BM avenger in 2019 with only 14 years old and later she joined with her own J-pop group called "onefive" (actually it writes with the at sign before but you know YT). They have quite a good amount of MV, livestream, some live performance (since it was restricted due to pandemic situation) and a lot of rehearsals and DVD backstage footage. This is a song i like from them but i will share with you the dance practice version since you're focus on that aspect and it will show you more clear the SG roots and new more complex elements, all of them are becoming professional in many art expression of dance, sing and acting. Hope you enjoy it at least in your own time since i don't think it will get you a lot of views. ruclips.net/video/ss_eUIaUme0/видео.html
@@BlackArr0w That's right! I've forgotten about that! Thanks for the reminder! Now I'm wondering if it's always him who screams MOA-CHAN like a true fan at some of their concerts. Yeah, I hear it!
By the way, Yui is a very athletic girl (and Moa too). Take Yui's famous flight (karate style) over Moa during a concert. Also they can do a cartwheel etc.
@@xiaouiris 👍 Speaking of shirts… Moa here has hearts and Yui a skull… both of which appear in the BABYMETAL logo. Maybe you know this too… not sure. 😉
Not to worry, it's still a good reaction. In part because we don't get many reactions to this song. But it's a great one because it's shows Suzuka's dancing abilities too. This was the first year of Sakura Gakuin, for some of the girls this would have been maybe up to 1 (probably less) year of professional dancing experience/training for them. This was one of the first ever shows of Sakure Gakuin, the venue is known as the red brick warehouse. And the very first performance of Babymetal was at this show too. A Mikiko interview which is a good fit for this reaction, even though it's just about Babymetal: (Interview with Ms. Mikiko Mizuno, the choreographer of BABYMETAL, Hedoban magazine, Vol. 1, 4 July, 2013.) Interviewer: First of all, what impressions did you have of metal? Was it a kind of music you would never try listening to? Mikiko: Haha exactly. Once I worked with Maximum the Hormone and choreographed one of their music videos, and I saw them head-banging using every part of their bodies up from their waists. I was impressed haha Afterward I would learn that there were many ways to head-bang, but that would be after I started working with BABYMETAL. I had learned nothing about metal before. Interviewer: Nothing at all? Mikiko: Nothing lol Interviewer: Had you ever listened to any song from the genre? Mikiko: Not a once! Interviewer: Fantastic! Mikiko: Am I going to be OK? lol Interviewer: You are going to do well! In fact, such great choreography we enjoy in BABYMETAL would not come from someone who knows metal. Mikiko: Sometimes you make good things out of something by knowing nothing about it lol Interviewer: Exactly. You are most certainly right lol Interviewer: Was “Doki Doki Morning” your first BABYMETAL song to choreograph? Mikiko: That’s correct. Interviewer: What did you have in mind when you were first asked to choreograph the song? Mikiko: I move my body when I make choreography. When I’m given a new BABYMETAL song, I separate the song into the parts for which I make choreography based on the beat and the parts for which I make choreography based on Yui and Moa’s singing/chanting (“screaming”). I construct the rhythm of dance according to the groove I feel in heavy metal. Interviewer: Have you ever had a moment when you feel that choreographing metal music is a strange, weird experience? Mikiko: Not at all. As soon as I started moving my body to metal, I thought choreographing it was easy. Interviewer: Don’t you think the rhythm in metal music is different and unique, though? It’s not like hip-hop. It’s not like techno. It’s not at all like the usual 8th note beats. And you still say it’s easy? Mikiko: I do. Once my body felt the rhythm, it was easy to choreograph it. The girls of BABYMETAL seemed comfortable learning my choreography too. It’s easy to choreograph BABYMETAL songs lol Interviewer: What requests Koba-metal have about choreography? Mikiko: OK, I’ll give you an example. For the song “iine,” Koba-metal and I had a study group meeting in which he said to me things like “Here, at this moment of the song, I think the audience would react like this.” Well, I said “study group,” but it’s more like… I would ask him, “What shall we do at this moment of the song,” and he would be like, “The music is about to reach a climax and the audience would react like this!” and he might jump from a bending posture, for example. I listen to him because I don’t know anything about metal lol Interviewer: As a choreographer, generally, do you regularly have such discussions? Mikiko: No, it’s the first time I make choreography in this manner. Choreographing BABYMETAL songs is easy thanks to Koba-metal. His intention is always clear haha There is a clear distinction between the parts of a song in which he has his own ideas of what he wants me to do and the parts where he completely entrusts me. Interviewer: Are his requests detailed? Mikiko: No, they are quite vague lol He says things like, “Here, at this moment of the song, everyone would want to do something together, methinks...” After I come up with dance moves, he would say, “Doesn’t it look good! Doesn’t it look good!” He is interested in what the audience would be doing at each moment of a song, first and foremost. What he gives me are not really instructions of choreography, but his understanding of what the audience would be doing. Interviewer: What the audience would be doing? Mikiko: Absolutely lol You know, there is a set of typical audience reactions we often see at heavy-metal shows. He wants the girls on the stage to energize their audience to do those reactions… how to make the audience want to react more haha Interviewer: Sounds like part of your choreography is specifically made to energize the audience? Mikiko: Well, his instructions are all about how to make the audience want to react lol Then, during a show, I’m like, “Wow! Look at the audience, their bodies are making a set of moves just as he described!” I’m like, “Koba-metal is amazing!” lol True respect for him lol Interviewer: What were your impressions when you first saw the three girls of BABYMTEAL? Mikiko: Yui had been a very good dancer since childhood. Her dance is rich in expressions. Moa is a quintessential idol… an actress who knows how to show the best of herself and the beauty of her facial expressions. These two girls are about the same heights, but their approaches of how to go about showing the best of themselves are different. They look like twins, but their personalities are different. That’s nice, I thought! About Su-metal, well, what else can I say, she is crazy lol Interviewer: Crazy? lol Mikiko: As soon as music is on, she would start dancing at 120% capacity with 120% focus. She’s got this innate intuition. I’ve never seen such a person. She doesn’t dance like ordinary Japanese dancers, and I’m saying it in a good sense. Interviewer: She doesn’t dance like ordinary Japanese dancers? Mikiko: No, she doesn’t lol She would be a great performer in the future, surely I thought. She’s got her intuition to learn choreography. She doesn’t memorize choreography by counting the beat. Instead, she memorizes choreography by hearing the music. In general, people learn choreography by counting rhythms but she doesn’t. She’s got this groove in her body, like nothing I’ve seen before. And this groove comes from her intuition. Interviewer: From her intuition? Mikiko: Absolutely. I don’t think Suzuka understands that herself. I would often ask her, “Why did you do that?” She would answer, “Why? Why, I don’t know.” Or, she would say, “Did I do that?” After a show, I would often tell her, “What you did at that part of the song, that was very good.” She would answer, “What? What did I do? I don’t remember.” I’m like, “Wow, this girl… she is in a way extraordinary.” I would love you to see our rehearsals sometime. Then you will know… that crazy Suzuka lol
Ah, I like this interview article. Thanks for putting it up. I want to get the Hedban vol.1, but it seems to be out of stocks. I will find it at any used bookstores in Tokyo someday. Oh, I'm the guy who can't use the internet enough, ha, huh..😉
It's easy to spot SU :) So many legends on that stage and one OFF the stage! White t-shirt guy!!! Ayumi Muto - pop star Ayaka Miyoshi - Model, movie star (Netflix Alice in Borderland and many others) Airi, Marina, Raura, Nene, Hinata...they're all stars and fantastic in different ways...of course there's YUI, MOA and SU
You are correct: Moa gets excited so she often goes too fast, while Yui is one of the most precise! From the same show, first Doki Doki Morning live ever, you can see Moa starting before the others and having to restart the choreography 🤣🤣 ruclips.net/video/C-r4bajuu9Y/видео.html
The 2 in the black shirts went on to become BLACK BABYMETAL. Coincidence? I think not. At the 2:04 mark on your video is BABYMETAL in delta formation. Su has the shirt with the sunflower. YUI'S skull shirt and Moa's hearts made the BM logo but Su's didn't. They designed their own shirts and they were for sale. My profile pic is an actual pic of my bootleg YUI shirt. If I could find a real one it would cost me as much as a used car and it wouldn't fit. Watch the guy in the front right ,known to us as white t-shirt guy, known to the Japanese as Fan Zero, you'll see that he's mimicking Su. He's a fan of hers from Karen Girls.
This is the beginning of SG and the dancing got better with subsequent "classes". Maybe now take a look at SG's "Let's Dance" which is another just dancing performance from 2019, so no girls are left from the original class ruclips.net/video/suFJ31xurmA/видео.html
Take a CLOSE Look at Moa's and Yui's Shirt !!! Moa has Hearts on her Shirt and Yui has a Skull !! They designed those shirts themselves!! Now Look at the Babymetal LOGO....see anything Familiar??? LoL!! When the design was created, those symbols were contributed by the girls and were worked in...so every time I see it, I specifically think of this performance with the girls!! (White T-Shirt Guy!!) Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
This is from the same night Babymetal debuted in fact, they began as a sub group of SG. Su is very talented, you should check out her previous group Karen Girl's. She ended up singing metal because the producer wanted her to be unlimited with what she could do vocally, and metal suited that better than pop. That, and Su likes to shock audiences.
I'm surprised how quickly you recognized the BABYMETAL girls. Watching Su is interesting and entertaining, she has her very own style that makes her stand out. It feels like she goes to 110% with every move, and her slight dorkiness shines through a little bit. And of course there's fan No. 0, White Shirt Guy on the front right.
As mentioned this was from SG’s first, or perhaps second show ever! The clip is just part of the concert and you can get a better understanding if you watch the longer clip of the show. It starts with a performance of SG as a whole, then moves to clips of each subgroup (including Babymetal’s first (perhaps second) performance of DokiDoki Morning. The video ends with two more clips of the whole group, right after this performance you just watched. You can search for it with Sakura Gakuin Red Brick Warehouse. No the dancing isn’t up to your standards yet, but pretty nice vocals. Before that you might want to check out Karen Girls. There are two clips on RUclips and is the group where Babymetal’s producer Koba-Metal found Suzuka. Both Suzuka Nakamoto and Ayami Muto from Karen Girls went on to be founding members of SG.
I'm REALLY surprised you ran into this - I love it - they look like demented grasshoppers with those white trainers - and I love Su's dancing - on the rare occassions I have seen her being able to dance she seems unrestrained - barely in control and quite wild 😁. She's actually my favourite dancer in Sakura Gakuin as well as singer - which feels a little unfair 😆
You are right. At 2:04 here, you can see the triangle formation of BABYMETAL by the original three. Sakura Gakuin (さくら学院), if translated into English, is Cherry blossom Academy. So you are right with 'academy' for Gakuin (学院). The song title is 'Mottoke Sailor Fuku' (もってけ、セーラーふく). It means 'Take it with you, my sailor school uniform', wow.. This is a cover of the guys wearing jerseys, because they had taken it away and they had no choice... ruclips.net/video/B0AxIPuY_Gk/видео.html
Motteke! Sailor-fuku (もってけ!セーラーふく, Motteke! Sailor-fuku?) is a song originally performed by Hirano Aya, Katou Emiri, Fukuhara Kaori, and Endō Aya, the respective voices of the characters from the anime "Lucky Star": Konata Izumi, Kagami Hiiragi, Tsukasa Hiiragi, and Miyuki Takara. It served as the opening theme for the anime "Lucky Star". Mizuka Arai - Motteke! Sailor Fuku Techno Pop Anime Animation is the name of the album compilation its on. That's great, lol. I think it did a good job of translating them into English. But the original Japanese lyrics are really a mess, (lol twice). I don't know what they mean still either, (lol again). It sounds a bit dangerous (yabai), like a girl's world, like a fantasy girl's world from guy's point of view.. Anyway, dangerous, lololol.
Great reaction to probably the first group dance only performance by Sakura Gakuin. They did do another dance routine called Let's Dance (which has only been performed live maybe 4 times in total at special graduation ceremony shows), and you can see a big difference in how the choreography improved over the years. Another SG song to check out if you haven't already is Heart no Hoshi, which has 2 music videos: a dance only version and one with scenes of the girls as wildling style characters.
As I recall, this was their first live as Sakura Gakuin, and a few songs after this song, they also performed as BABYMETAL. Still, I was amazed at how small 10-year-old Yui and Moa are.
Although Yui and Moa were rehearsing with Sakura Gakuin from its start when they were still 10 years, they were not officially introduced until after their 11th birthdays. Still both very smol.
Oh, seeing this reaction made me happy! I think they are all doing great but Su's movements are something to behold, she gives it 150%. What I find interesting about Sakura Gakuin is that they all fit together so well despite the age gap. Very good performance by all of them, including the white T-shirt guy, he's a legend within the SG/BABYMETAL community. I think you would enjoy the choreography in Night Night Burn by BABYMETAL, it has strong latin influences.
Motteke! Sailor-fuku was the opening theme for an anime called "Lucky Star". This version is a bit more "techno", probably to fit the workout-theme as you described it.
@@xiaouiris Awesome! Perhaps discord can help you find the best video. I don't think Night Night Burn has been performed many times. I was surprised to find the entire Metal Galaxy Tour on RUclips uploaded by the channel "cristian". The quality is great, the lighting is good and the camera angles are good for watching the choreography. I'm not sure if it's safe to react to, because a quick look tells me reactors usually put a logo over it. There are however many good songs to watch from that performance, YAVA! being one with interesting choreography. It's also very catchy.
Good job spotting our BM ladies! I also want to point out Ayaka Miyoshi in the left- rear of the formation so that you might recognize her while watching Alice in Borderlands.
Maybe others have mentioned this but you'll notice that Yui has has skull design on her shirt and Moa has hearts. They designed these shirts themselves (they all did). These designs are actually incorporated as part of the BABYMETAL logo, Yui's skull at the top right and Moa's heart in the B. The wings represent Su although not from her shirt design, these supposedly come from a song she sang with Karen Girl's, the group she was in before Sakura Gakuin. The original logo has a lightning bolt to to represent Su which is derived from how she signed her autograph.
🌸 🏫 Good job spotting all three BABYMETAL members! I can understand second guessing yourself with Su. Her Suzuka personality is very different from that of Su-metal. Just to clarify, Sakura Gakuin wasn't something they did before BABYMETAL. Until BABYMETAL split off completely in 2013, it was simultaneous. Looks like several people have pointed out that Yui and Moa were in the black t-shirts with hearts (Moa) and a skull design (Yui), which were incorporated into the BABYMETAL logo. Su was represented on the first BABYMETAL logo with the letter "S" repeated in lightning bolt style. The current logo has wings, possibly a reference to her Karen Girl's song 'My Wings'. Ayami Mutō has a tulip design. She was the first Sakura Gakuin President, and like Su, a former member of the JPop trio Karen Girl's. Each of the Sakura Gakuin members designed a t-shirt in collaboration with the MONO COMME ÇA company. The same company also designed the original Sakura Gakuin uniforms. The Sakura Gakuin song 'Hello Ivy' is a tie-in to their Ivy Comme Ça sub-brand. That Ivy/preppy style was very popular in Japan. There's a funny story where Suzuka and Ayami (unrecognized) went to one of the stores selling the t-shirts the Sakura Gakuin members designed, and they both cracked up when the sales person would recommend a design to try on. With the exception of Nene, who became a nurse like her mom, and Yui, who has been out of sight lately, all of the girls in this video have successful careers. The range of activities include singing, stage dramas, modeling, TV and film roles, voice acting and Idol groups.
This was the very first show for Sakura Gakuin, Moa and Yui were still 10 here, The song is from an anime called Lucky Star about a bunch of school girls and the trials of school life at that age. The song is about one of the school girls and how everything in her life is going wrong, such as a new girl who is getting all the attention, and how she is broke and may need a part time job but at least she looks great in her sailor suit, there is an English cover by AmaLee who covers a lot of anime songs ruclips.net/video/gEXWWJgyPw0/видео.html&ab_channel=LeeandLie%28AmaLee%29. Sorry I still haven't got that @onefive video for you, I have been a bit busy, but I have not forgotten and should have it done before xmas. Su can be a little hard to pick because she had experienced a growth spurt so appears a little more gangly than we are used to seeing but she definitely puts in 110% with her dancing. The guy in the front row in the white t-shirt, is a bit of a celeb himself, he is know as fan #1 and attended all the SG and Babymetal concerts.
Yui and Moa turned 11 just before their official transfer into SG in time for the first Tokyp Idol Festival where the group debuted in August, and this show was held at the end of 2010, so it was almost Su's 13th birthday.
THIS IS A SAKURA GAKUIN CLASS PROJECT. THE ENTIRE CLASS PARTICIPATES. THE BABYMETAL SUB-GROUP IS JUST THE 3 OF THEM. THERE WILL BE MANY CLASS PROJECTS WHERE EVERY STUDENT PARTICIPATES, THOSE WILL GET MORE COMPLEX AS THEY PROGRESS. THEY MAY MAKE AN MV THAT IS VERY PROFESSIONAL. SG IS A VERY CUTE SHOW WELL WORTH WATCHING.
Great reaction, thanks! And good job spotting the three BABYMETAL girls so fast (your first guess was right!). And yes, Yui and Moa are obvious and Su is the one performing at full throttle with her twin tails flying in the air all the time and looking like she's going to lose control anytime. Mikiko, their choreographer, wasn't always happy with her for performing like this. But we love it this way. She's all passion and gives it all on stage. After all, she's called the Queen for many good reasons.
The song "Motteke! Sailor Fuku!" (which is the base of this dance performance) is the opening song of the anime show "Lucky Star". The choreography also is inspired by dance moves that can be seen in the opening sequence of this anime show, by the way. They just adapted and expanded them and then added their own parts. Here is the actual opening for reference: ruclips.net/video/6iseNlvH2_s/видео.html
This is the very very first live performance for Sakura Gakuin. But most girls already had their job as a model for kids fashions and two including Su had already had an experienceof the idle group before this.
The shirts they are wearing were designed by the girls themselves for Sakura Gakuin's first live: Moa with many hearts ♥️, Yui with skulls 💀, Suzuka with sunflowers 🌻.The BABYMETAL logo has a heart (two Bs), a skull (upper right) and sunflower petals (wings on both sides). The relationship between wings and Suzuka must go back to the Karen Girl's era. See the music video of My Wings by Karen Girl's. Speaking of shirts, this video shows a legendary man. He is called "Wihte shirts guy" and is known as the oldest BABYMETAL fan.
8:43 probably yes? Maybe a mix of cheerleader and radio calisthenics. Radio calisthenics is Japanese workout that students do together in school in the morning, to warm up and exercise. Some office workers, factory workers do it in the morning, too. Some company would have workers do it together in the morning. ヾ(•ω•`)o ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I think the anime song was originally in more of a cheerleader style. And maybe Sakura Gakuin combines more student fitness , radio calisthenics style into it.
GJ, you spotted all of them 😅, yes, YUI at the time was the one with more training in dancing, and she's quite athletic, so she's like a metronome to the others 😅 As many others pointed out, this first SG show is mostly a presentation of what they were working on, so they were still using backtracks, and the dancing still needed to be refined. The 💀 on YUI's shirt and the 💕 on MOA are going to be in the BABYMETAL logo, while the wings come from SU. 🤘🦊⚡️
🎀Sailor Fuku , sailor suit uniform, is a popular type of Japanese school uniform. Uniform is very important in Japanese student culture. There is the phenomenon that school girls would prefer wearing uniforms to places then wearing their own casual clothes in many occasions. For example, students love wearing their uniforms to theme parks together. There are high schools that try to attract students by having superior uniforms. School that has designer made uniforms and have models promoting their uniforms. Some students really do choose their school by the uniform. 🌸🌸At the time Sakura Gakuin don't have Sailor Fuku costume. Hence they also did not wear Sailor Fuku for the song. They had school uniform costume in suits style, not in Sailor Fuku style.
6:02 Yaeba八重歯, the unique teeth, is quite common among Japanese people. And it is often considered cute in Japan. Some idols see their Yaeba as a charming point. Su-metal got that "fixed" already. You can still see her with Yaeba in 2016, on Tokyo Dome concert. And it's a lot more tidy since 2018. Fixing Yaeba maybe can be seen as a western influence, more and more Japanese are doing it to look more "beautiful". Some Japanese fans even see Su's teeth fixing as a prove of how Babymetal is taking the western market seriously. 🦊🦊
Don't forget Sakura Gakuin continued after Moa and Yui left and there's a lot more songs and girls I'm sure you'll enjoy discovering. If you'd like to dip your toe into that world then I highly recommend the song Mathematica ruclips.net/video/F7hPuYMl0z0/видео.html&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE
I was going to mention Sakura Gakuin in my last comments when you did BabyMetal's YAVA today but I chickened out lol. Can't wait to hear your insights on this one. I am surprised I missed this one by you. This song I just discovered last month and I love it. Thanks for reacting to this. I learn a lot.
I now know it IS Su… (thank you to those on discord!)
@@jakemuller8626 She hasn't changed since then😊💙✨

Su has an “interesting” dance style that you can recognize, especially when you have seen a lot of the younger videos of Su I have
6:14 The BabyMetal logo consists of three patterns - skull, hearts, wings. Represents Yui, Moa, Su. Every time I see the skull on the logo I miss Yui. 🦊
Thank you for the fun video🤘
Also coming out of this group other than Su, Yui and Moa is Ayaka Miyoshi who's currently one of the stars of Alice in Borderland on Netflix
Here is that opening from the cartoon
ruclips.net/video/6iseNlvH2_s/видео.html
Next, this is a great version from a B-Boy festival where a line of amateur dancers are joined by a professional dancer, Atsuki, and the combination is joyous...particularly the timing of the last dancer in the chorus line.

Finally to see an even younger Su check out her Karen Girls performances. This one is "Over the Future" which BM covered.

Don’t know if it’ll survive but I’ve bookmarked the links just incase!
@@xiaouiris The Lucky Star link will give the song context and the B-Boy link is just hilarious.
Yep, that was Yui-chan, Moa-chan and Su-chan, nice spot with the teeth clue lol
This was one of their first if not the first live performance as a Sakura Gakuin group with all of them, but don't quote that on me, like i told you before i just know a few things here and there.
Btw you missed Suzuka's 25 birthday a few days ago but thanks anyway for being around with us, The One, sharing this special month for us, double special for me.🥳🎊🎂🏆⚽
It was celebrated on discord, I got involved there but I couldn’t believe she was 25! She’s achieved so much! 🥳🥳🥳

Su is there and is the one you thought was her… wearing the yellow flower shirt.
Yeah I found out recently lol you’ve reminded me I need to pin a comment telling people I know it’s Su. Thank you!

@@xiaouiris The Wings in the BM Logo represent Su. It is a reference to her stint in Karen's Girls.
A Mikiko interview which is a good fit for this reaction, even though it's just about Babymetal:
(Interview with Ms. Mikiko Mizuno, the choreographer of BABYMETAL, Hedoban magazine, Vol. 1, 4 July, 2013.)
Interviewer: First of all, what impressions did you have of metal? Was it a kind of music you would never try listening to?
Mikiko: Haha exactly. Once I worked with Maximum the Hormone and choreographed one of their music videos, and I saw them head-banging using every part of their bodies up from their waists. I was impressed haha
Afterward I would learn that there were many ways to head-bang, but that would be after I started working with BABYMETAL. I had learned nothing about metal before.
Interviewer: Nothing at all?
Mikiko: Nothing lol
Interviewer: Had you ever listened to any song from the genre?
Mikiko: Not a once!
Interviewer: Fantastic!
Mikiko: Am I going to be OK? lol
Interviewer: You are going to do well! In fact, such great choreography we enjoy in BABYMETAL would not come from someone who knows metal.
Mikiko: Sometimes you make good things out of something by knowing nothing about it lol
Interviewer: Exactly. You are most certainly right lol
Interviewer: Was “Doki Doki Morning” your first BABYMETAL song to choreograph?
It’s easy to choreograph BABYMETAL songs lol
Interviewer: What requests Koba-metal have about choreography?
Mikiko: OK, I’ll give you an example. For the song “iine,” Koba-metal and I had a study group meeting in which he said to me things like “Here, at this moment of the song, I think the audience would react like this.” Well, I said “study group,” but it’s more like… I would ask him, “What shall we do at this moment of the song,” and he would be like, “The music is about to reach a climax and the audience would react like this!” and he might jump from a bending posture, for example. I listen to him because I don’t know anything about metal lol
Interviewer: As a choreographer, generally, do you regularly have such discussions?
Mikiko: No, it’s the first time I make choreography in this manner. Choreographing BABYMETAL songs is easy thanks to Koba-metal. His intention is always clear haha There is a clear distinction between the parts of a song in which he has his own ideas of what he wants me to do and the parts where he completely entrusts me.
Interviewer: Are his requests detailed?
Mikiko: No, they are quite vague lol
He says things like, “Here, at this moment of the song, everyone would want to do something together, methinks...” After I come up with dance moves, he would say, “Doesn’t it look good! Doesn’t it look good!”
He is interested in what the audience would be doing at each moment of a song, first and foremost. What he gives me are not really instructions of choreography, but his understanding of what the audience would be doing.
Interviewer: What the audience would be doing?
Mikiko: Absolutely lol
You know, there is a set of typical audience reactions we often see at heavy-metal shows. He wants the girls on the stage to energize their audience to do those reactions… how to make the audience want to react more haha
Interviewer: Sounds like part of your choreography is specifically made to energize the audience?
Mikiko: Well, his instructions are all about how to make the audience want to react lol
Then, during a show, I’m like, “Wow! Look at the audience, their bodies are making a set of moves just as he described!” I’m like, “Koba-metal is amazing!” lol
True respect for him lol
Interviewer: What were your impressions when you first saw the three girls of BABYMTEAL?
Mikiko: Yui had been a very good dancer since childhood. Her dance is rich in expressions. Moa is a quintessential idol… an actress who knows how to show the best of herself and the beauty of her facial expressions. These two girls are about the same heights, but their approaches of how to go about showing the best of themselves are different. They look like twins, but their personalities are different. That’s nice, I thought!
About Su-metal, well, what else can I say, she is crazy lol
Interviewer: Crazy? lol
Mikiko: As soon as music is on, she would start dancing at 120% capacity with 120% focus. She’s got this innate intuition. I’ve never seen such a person. She doesn’t dance like ordinary Japanese dancers, and I’m saying it in a good sense.
Interviewer: She doesn’t dance like ordinary Japanese dancers?
Mikiko: No, she doesn’t lol
She would be a great performer in the future, surely I thought.

Maybe now take a look at SG's "Let's Dance" which is another just dancing performance from 2019, so no girls are left from the original class

Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
Ahhhh I watched again!
Haha that white shirt guy 😂
@@xiaouiris you mean the legendary white t-shirt guy 😄 🤣
Welldone spotting all of them and the legendary white t shirt man 😁🤘🦊🤘🎄
I didn't expect anyone to be reacting to this song.
It was very fresh. Thank you very much.

Thank you. Hope I can find the exact same version they used in this SG performance. Thank you and love from Sweden ❤
If you want a Babymetal cuteness overload watch Moa and Yui in Yokubari feuille-Mini Pati.
👍 👍 you are a true member of the BabyMetal Galaxy.
Yay!
That time everyone was dancing at 30fps, but Su was dancing at 60fps XD
😂
Ah yes, the debut of the legendary" white t-shirt guy" 😂

🌸 🏫
Good job spotting all three BABYMETAL members!
I would say Nene and Yui also have successful careers ;-) (I'm obviously sort of just having a laugh)
@@autohmae Good point. I should have specified "currently in entertainment".
I'm gonna be honest. I watch this at least once a week to get hyped up.
No it’s ok, this was really interesting to read!
I would consider White T-shirt guy "Patient Zero" in the BABYMETAL epidemic.
@@RiderOftheNorth1968 lol yeah
No need for screaming, bro.
I’ve learnt a lot about white shirt guy in the comments lol 😂
8:43 probably yes? Maybe a mix of cheerleader and radio calisthenics. Radio calisthenics is Japanese workout that students do together in school in the morning, to warm up and exercise. Some office workers, factory workers do it in the morning, too. Some company would have workers do it together in the morning. ヾ(•ω•`)o
ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪ I think the anime song was originally in more of a cheerleader style. And maybe Sakura Gakuin combines more student fitness , radio calisthenics style into it.
GJ, you spotted all of them 😅, yes, YUI at the time was the one with more training in dancing, and she's quite athletic, so she's like a metronome to the others 😅
As many others pointed out, this first SG show is mostly a presentation of what they were working on, so they were still using backtracks, and the dancing still needed to be refined. The 💀 on YUI's shirt and the 💕 on MOA are going to be in the BABYMETAL logo, while the wings come from SU.

7:40 Because it's a filler, they didn't have enough song for concert.
🤘🦊🤘
So did mention her ears though not her teeth as her charm point 🤗🤗🤗
Please analyze the white ahirt guy's dance moves )))
Don't forget Sakura Gakuin continued after Moa and Yui left and there's a lot more songs and girls I'm sure you'll enjoy discovering. If you'd like to dip your toe into that world then I highly recommend the song Mathematica ruclips.net/video/F7hPuYMl0z0/видео.html&si=EnSIkaIECMiOmarE

Please react to blackpink “ kill this love” dance practice
I was going to mention Sakura Gakuin in my last comments when you did BabyMetal's YAVA today but I chickened out lol. Can't wait to hear your insights on this one. I am surprised I missed this one by you. This song I just discovered last month and I love it. Thanks for reacting to this. I learn a lot.
