I've been a fan for a while and i finally got the chance to comment on one of your vids. You inspire me in life so much and one day im gonna be an art doll maker too.
Hello. Have you thought about using some sandpaper to the wire where the glued pieces come together? And when attaching the fabric for the body? I know it's an extra step or two, for the work. I think it would make a better way to attach the pieces together. Love the feet. The range of motion makes it more realistic And the sneak peak of the dragon, looks very cool. Love your work thank you for the videos. And the creatures too.
Thank you so much 💜 glad I can be of help with my tutorial. The toes are a little stiff but it really isnt bad, but yeah you could try and thinner gauge wire. I'm using a 16g so maybe an 18g. I wouldnt go to thin though cause it might have trouble holding its shape. Lol
Oh wow! They looks really good! Even though i makes posable feet differently and what i does was gluing, but i can try the sewing. I also make posable thumbs for the wings and they came out looks really good! But your posable feet looks amazing!
Thank you so much. Yeah I've seen people do posable feet in all kinds of ways so that's really cool you have your own way to make them. With mine I wanted to try something different too 😊
thanks for tutorial! i`m using faster and more simple way. I`m just making claws from polymorph right on armature, and then wraping the armature with claws with threads of a suitable color, creating a finger shapes. it`s really faster then make a patern, mark on fabric, sew it etc. it`s more simple for beginnners i think)) and fingers from threads are more posable, it`s very articulated
Thank you. I think I've seen feet done that way or they felt over the wire frame. I'll have to give it a try and see how it works compared to doing the sewing. It does look a little easier lol.
I've been wondering for a while but, what gauge of wire do you use for your dolls? My heads look the same size as yours in comparison to your hands, but my heads are just too damn heavy for the wire I use. I don't really understand how to fix this problem as all I've been told is to sculpt the head smaller, but then I just end up sizing it to a much smaller size. I honestly want to make a doll that's around the size of your typical dolls
I like to use 16 or 14 gauge galvanized steel wire for my frames. And then a 20g wire to wrap them together. Lol another thing you can do is twist 2 wires together to make it stronger. I do this to the necks and front legs when my clay heads are to heavy.
I love the toe beans! Saw that sneak peek of that dragon and it looks so good!!
Thank you😁 hoping to have him out soon.
@KaypeaCreations i subed to you!!!

How would i make posable feet if i use ball and socket armature? Or how would i connect the wire to the ball and socket joints?

@@bubblyleafcreations definitely try it)
😃
Will these work for dinosaurs?
Yeah I'm sure they would. Depending on the dinosaur you might have to change it a little though.

@@bubblyleafcreations yea i think galvanized steel will be a better option for my dolls. Aluminum is just too soft. Thanks for the tips
