Paella Recipe CHORIZO NO-NO- NO !!! Being "hard pressed" to find CHORIZO in paella is an understatement. Literally none has ever used CHORIZO in paella, just because the instant the CHORIZO touches the rice it is no longer paella (You cooking Mexican Paella not Spanish)
My ex lover from Spain -- his mother taught me this about Paella (which is cooked best over a wood fire), and they were from Valencia where the "poor man's" version originates. Fifteen minute rule: after all ingredients are in pan, a 15 simmer, cover, 15 minutes in overn, 15 minutes rest with cover. With Valencian paella, add green beans at pre oven step. The seafood version: add all the fish or shellfish late after rice is well-simmered. Clams, shrimp, scallops, even langostino or lobster to steam without over-cooking. Very filling and hardy dish. Saffron is essential. Invest in a few ounces despite cost of it.
Is this authentic taste of Paella? I had to replace some ingredients due to unavailability but it was spicy. Paella I had before was sweeter and had tomato base. Which one is the real one? Didn't like this one's taste much.
@@nilanjasa007The original Paella recipe shouldn't be spicy at all. It should just have green beans, chicken, rabbit (I know, it is what it is), rice, butter beans (garrofón) and saffron. The pan frying starts with olive oil and then chopped tomato, then the rest.
@@Silfasdamn that sucks, I’m latina but I’m allergic to beans so can’t have that version. However I’ve mostly seen just the seafood version which doesn’t contain beans.
My gosh I LOVE paella! I haven’t had it in 12 yrs. My Puerto Rican friend used to make this for me. Time for me to try my hand at it. Thx for making it look so easy 😊
Love rice cooked this way. I have made with ham hocks and chicken. Not with shrimp. It is delicious. I can smell it already. Brings back memories. Thank you for sharing with 🇺🇸 us.
Love paella and after watching your video I have decided to add this recipe to this month’s meal rotation! Thank you for inspiring and encouraging us to step out and try yummy recipes such as this.
That looks good! You just kicked me um...to the delish zone! Always ready to taste new dishes! Yummy, yum! Waving to you from south Georgia-land of best Peaches, boiled Peanuts, & Vidalia onions!🥘🍲🌭🌮🍕🍟🍿🥗🦐🍝🍠☕🗽🚑🚒🚓
I love the fact she's using really great and fresh ingredients like the veggies and stuff. I didn't like when she putted the chicken and chorizo into the pan at the same time. It would've been better if she putted one for cooking at the time because I think that way, the protein would've cooked and secured its own falvor.
Yes every meat has to be cooked at a different time otherwise the seafood will be gummy in texture and overcooked. And the chorizo takes longer to cook than the chicken and seafood.
How do you cook the shoe? Dearly love watching you cook or eat your perfect bite. Thanks for the To Die For Blueberry Muffin. Well everything you cook.
Funny how some people remark "This is not the way my mama made it". This mama watches your recipes and other vlogs and my children (all adults) will say in the future: "That is not the way my mama made it". Little do they know. He He.
Paella doesn’t use paprika and it doesn’t stir fry the rice. This is a Mexican rice and seafood recipe but not a Paella. My family is from Spain and I cook paellas often….the rice from a paella is moist almost like a risotto and it contains annatto seeds that have been sautéed with the oil.
Do you even know what Paella is? This is just a Spanish inspired rice dish. There is no onion, parsley, oregano, bay leaf or chorizo in paella. Paella has seafood or meat, never both. You don’t add lemon into Paella, it can be served on the side. It should be cooked in a paella pan to produce the socarrat. You do not stir paella. There is not chilli in paella. And you cooked it wrong “Pretty much anything” does not go. Do you add chicken, sweet corn, pepperoni, pineapple and squid to a pizza and call it a Margarita?

This looks so delicious! Can Arborio rice be used as well?
Yup
Leaving the shrimp tails on adds more shrimp flavor.
How do you cook the shoe? Dearly love watching you cook or eat your perfect bite.
Thanks for the To Die For Blueberry Muffin. Well everything you cook.
If you can't find the paella rice, can you use the risotto rice ?
How many dry cups of rice??
The shrimp tails are useful if using "chicken etiquetty".

My only question is on the video you make it in one pan; however, your recipe uses 2 pan. How most people prepare the dish, 1 or 2 pans
When did she put the chorizo??
she cooked the chorizo with the chicken in the beginning
I wish you added more vegetables.
💞👼🏻💐
Its what we call mexican jambalaya lol!
Eso no tiene nada que ver con una auténtica paella. Desde Valencia España un saludo.
Es de hecho una atrocidad hecha receta lol
Me ha dado ansiedad verlo. Pedir cárcel es poco.
Cook the shrimp first ..keep it aside add later

paella is nothing like a risotto lol
Call me a simple southern boy but that looks a lot like jambalaya to me 😂
Socarrat?????

all my ancestors must be turning in their graves with this :S
And here comes the paella police. Every single time.
Just talked about this yesterday.....you listening to me?.........

Spaniards cringing...
This is an absoolute disgrace. Definetely you've never tried, nor seen, a real paella.

Never stir rice in paella....
Yjis something mu fon lontf
This is not real paella.....sorry but you are wrong...

You must be joking.... this is not a paella... by far.... seafood and meat, not common, but well.. but chorizo in a paella???????
Never red bell pepper, never onions, never ever Chorizo...!!!
Please don't call it paella.😢
Don't stir too much she says while still stirring and stirring. Look good but just a little dry.
That's not paella, that's an aberration. People please, search for a good recipe made by a spanish cook, preferably from Valencia
Eso no es paella...ni se parece a ningun arroz que se haga en España...🤦🏻♀️
Wtf noooottt at all correct never chorizo u ugh just added like ketchup to noodles to Italian cooking
THAT IS NOT PAELLAAAAA! COME ON....
Not paella
Thats a rice dish, not paella
Who lied to you about saffron and told you that it is a Spanish spice?! Saffron is native to Morocco. Do your research before you speak!!!
NOT AUTHENTIC! PAELLA DOES NOT HAVE BAYLEAF AND PAPRIKA😅😅😅! WHERE DID YOU GET THE RECIPE?😅😅😅😅😅
call it anything you want pot au feu choucroute boeuf bourguignon pate pizza omelette... but not paella this has nothing to do with paella,,,,
you don't have the slightest idea what a Valencian paella is (Spain)
