respect from the bowels of the earth and respect from the highest of the heavens. jonas and katatonia are a needed inspiration for all of those who wander, but are not lost.
Everything about this song is so perfect. Melody, rhythm, ambience, harmony, modulations, dissonance... You name them, Katatonia has got them, and they are beautiful.
When they played "Racing Heart" live in Pittsburgh, I squealed like a little girl, "It's my song!" And then was the only one with devil horns during the chorus. Anders looked directly at me. I felt like such a dork, but I kept on rocking out. It was epic... :P

I love how the chorus of this song is a little throwback to the For Funerals to Come EP. Even the piano crescendo is reminiscent of the cold melodies of their old music. Taking cues from their past, yet moving forward.
I also thought so on the first listen, give it more time and it'll grow on you big time. I'm crazy about this record now. Such a mature, noir sound. I think it's one of their best.
Cold War Echo: Unraveling mysterious radiowave UVB-76 Is the piece pleying on the beginning of this song. Search the tube for the aforementioned words and you will find the piece. That solves it.
such a great song, didnt think much of this song until i listened to it from start to finish, its my favourite album now (along with NITND and Tonights decision)
just my opinion dude; i'm a huge fan too, Pink Floyd (quite possibly the best band ever) had a lot of sub-par albums as well (Atom heart Mother, Relics, A momentary lapse of reason)...i just think this is Katatonia's "Sub-Par" Album...good for you for liking it more than me (you're Obviously a bigger fan because of it)
not depressive, DOOM metal lol. not meant to depress you, meant to make you feel more passionate. give in deeper. people who dont understand it call it depressed music. but def progressive just like my fav along with them...OPETH

Jonas sings different words in a lot of parts
The chorus may very well be my favorite part of this whole album. It's so masterfully executed.
"Some scars can never heal from what we lost". Some of the truest lyrics that where ever written.

There's so much emotion in this song, it's almost overwhelming. This is by far one of there best albums.
All songs are the best in this album. I cannot define one as better than others.
