Making of Smart Doll - vinyl flash cutting

I've got a series of new videos showing various stages of Smart Doll production. Today's video is vinyl cutting. Our vinyl is casted in Katsushika Tokyo and delivered to our Gotanda office in Tokyo. In some cases vinyl casted yesterday could be cut, assembled and shipped out the next day.
Vinyl needs to be heated in our custom built heat box and then the flash must be cut off with a scalpel or craft knife.
It's best to rotate the actual vinyl piece and hold the knife hand steady. We prefer to cut at angles for better ball joint fits.
Where possible, the part being cut should be constantly rotated or there will be a mark left at the point when rotation stops - this is fine if you can clean up the mark after. Each and every Smart Doll is cut this way by hand so no two piece will ever be the same.
