To break out the piano and sing a solo on the biggest night of their lives so far, having never done it before in front of an audience, let alone 10,000ish maid fans, takes a lot of brass monkeys.....and she nailed it!

The comment on disrespect is not needed . How can anyone deny the beauty , emotion and time Saiki put into this . This for me the perfect showcase for her talent . Saiki after all is the reason I found Band Maid . She just sealed the deal . She is amazing

There was a huge gasp of surprise in the Arena when Saiki came and sat down at the piano. Those of us with Prime knew that Saiki had started to learn both guitar and piano, just playing chords as an accompaniment to her singing but she has now moved on and It was still a massive surprise that she is now confident enough to do this at their bigest gig. None of them stand still which is a big reason why I respect them so much as artists.

Listening to the members of Band Maid is like peeling an onion. There are SO MANY layers of talent in this group. As they mature and gain a larger audience, I hope we get to see more of those layers. I, for one, never knew that Saiki was a very proficient pianist. Her vocal skills have never been in question. I agree this solo by her showcases her talent not only as a vocalist, but as a musician. Wow!!!!!

Per the Gaijin Guys, Lovebites was at Band Maid's Yokohama culmination show -- classy! (Although there are many Japanese all-female hard rock and metal bands that I enjoy [and respect] tremendously), Band Maid and Lovebites are atop the mountain alone [for me]). When you think of the (often crass and boorish) competitive stance that exists between so many Western bands, its so encouraging the see the genuinely supportive posture that exists within and between so many of the Japanese groups. Japanese hard rock and metal Ladies, you are the class acts of the world!

Hey there, Sir Holloway. It really was something else, wasn't it? I mean the whole show and this part in particular. I have it on good authority that the following conversation took place yesterday:
Mincho: Sai-chan, I love you even more now! Your piano playing was great and you know how much I love your voice!
Saiki: I've been meaning to talk to you. This new song you sent over has a piano part. Now just who do you think is going to play that?
Mincho: Oh, you of course! I wanted to surprise you! Don't worry, I made your keyboard parts a tiny bit easier when you're singing. For this first song anyway. Oh, and I ordered you a whole bunch of keyboards that will surround you on stage like Rick Wakeman-san.

How this was taking food out of the mouths of these women. When It looks like people are posting stuff not authorized by the band just yet. Funny how that doesn't happen anymore or that much anymore. Or is it just select reactors and RUclipsrs. That the cool kids club and circle jerkers that we had to hear complain about that years ago. That they went after and against ? None of this is directed towards you my friend. I just find it very hypocritical. Because like I said a few years back. Everyone was a self-appointed PR spokesperson for this group. And it got a little sickening after a while. Take care and be well always.

@@SixxDaze I don't know if you remember me or not. I'm the gentleman from New York City area. When you decided to do or use subscribers artwork drawings etc as your backdrop behind you when you introduced videos. That you did I don't know a year or so ago when you requested that. I was the gentleman that sent you the first one you used. You know the fake time magazine cover that I put together. The hardest thing about being a fan of this group. Is the fan base and how they act with each other. Excuse me for sounding a little coarse. But it's a lot of circle jerking/back slapping. Almost like high school members of the cool kids club. And many of these guys are middle-aged and older. I love the music these ladies put out. But many of the comments on here and Facebook. In these fan groups I belong to. You've got basically middle-aged guys and older professing their love for them. At times it's at least minimally borderline creepy. I listened to jazz, big band and swing.for last 10 years. Because I grew up on the 60 70s and '80s rock hard rock and classic rock. That in my country hasn't been promoted that much really in years. Not like it did when I was growing up. Because the music and entertainment industry has been too concerned. To push out what I call the sewage known as rap to the masses. And then of course you know the Britney Spears the Taylor Swift's Nickelback Creed the grunge movement. None of that stuff ever was to my liking. But coming across this group about 5 years ago or so. It just was so refreshing to see. And yes many what I call the self-appointed PR people and legal representation from this group. You would probably say at least two to five comments by them every time somebody posted something live from a fan cam or whatever. Their talent and songwriting is what made them. RUclips and access to them on it. Has made them worldwide famous. I'm sure you know the term pennywise and dollar foolish. So maybe they lose a couple of hundred thousand over a year's period of time between the 5 of them because of postings from fan cams and the like. How many millions do you think that they've gotten back in return. For allowing that kind of stuff to go on. Thanks take care and be well.
