These videos about craft and storytelling are really interesting to watch. Its encouraging knowing that even professionals are always learning and improving. I think one thing that holds people back from creating is that what they're making isn't perfect right away.

I've been teaching high school art for fifteen years and I would fall over in my chair if one of my eighteen year old students was drawing finished pages like this. Ed is way way ahead of the curve for a guy this age. Getting even talented kids at this age to draw finished pages is practically impossible. I want to show this to my students so they can see what a future pro was drawing at their age.

I hope I never see Ed’s eyes as he’s now the Snake Eyes of the cartooning world to me.

Ed, I loved your self critique on your Daredevil. I am redrawing my first 5 pages of FemBat from 1999. I drew them too quick and my inking and lettering needed work. Very helpful episode. Thank you.

At 28:00- If you thought of the hands as reversed, ie: the hand on the bottom is Daredevil's, and it was a "first person shooter" effect, wouldn't that work?

Good that you bring this up and something we could have addressed. Short answer: No. It would be an abuse of the 180 degree rule: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/180-degree_rule , and it would also require a fundamental change in the direction we read here in the west. What you suggest would only be excuse-making by young Eddie P. who clearly just fucked up the hands in the panel you speak of.

Hey, CK! I was wondering if you could do an episode on zine printing and self publishing in that sort of style (5,000 copies on the cheap). Thanks, love the show!
