Can you make a video explaining what we can and cannot do in Oregon when it comes to prospecting for placer gold.

Man nothin beats sniping in the summer, somethin about the sunlight on the bedrock is so pretty. Also, gettin chunkier than usual gold is pretty good too! Nice job gettin the gold

Glad you had luck. A quick run through last year with a modern witch on the upper banks above and below there didn't get me cracking out. Just goes to show the gold is where you find it not where you think it'll be 🤠

Yeah it can get pretty frustrating sometimes. You think you have it figured out and then it changes.

If there's any gold in the hydro thermals it causes the pyrites to crystalize out early. The smaller and more numerous the crystals the higher the gold , the larger the crystals the less gold if present. It's historically difficult to seperate gold from iron pyrites, but there is a new process discovered this last decade. I don't know if it's feasible for us small operators/hobbiests though.

That's interesting. I haven't heard there's a correlation between the size of pyrite crystals and gold. I'll have to look into that.

Hi watching from Alberta Canada…nice way of prospecting here in my place we do panning and high banking since the au here is very fine its a flour gold…is it possible a Canadian residents can visit there and do some snipping gold..,,

Gold is pretty fine here too. That's why I Snipe like this sometimes. ruclips.net/video/FxXXlepJmtI/видео.html
By sucking up the concentrates on bedrock, you get the fine stuff you would have missed otherwise. Our public waterways are open to everyone. Just can't prospect on claimed sections. Just like Canada. Lots of great gold up there though.

Yeah, that area is always cold. I'm wearing a 2 piece 7mm suit, which gives me a thicker core. With the right gear, I'm comfortable
