Gujarat has many big dairies like Amul(Anand Milk Union Limited) Dairy(Anand) also known as Dudhsagar Dairy, Sumul(Surat Milk Union Limited) Dairy(Surat), Banas Dairy(Banaskantha), Mother Dairy & Gandhinagar Dairy(Gandhinagar), Dudhsagar Dairy(), Ajod Dairy & Abad Dairy(Ahmedabad), Sabar Dairy(Sabarkantha) and many more. Gujarat has Milk Producer's Union in each district. Gujarat comes at first in Milk harvesting at 35% harvesting and Fifth in Milk Producing in India. No doubt why Gujarat known as Denmark of India.

@@adityaprusty1929 here in Gujarat all the dairies are member of Gujarat milk federation and they sold the products under the name of Amul also they sold their products on their own name but it's for only local market. For example dudhsagar dairy Mehsana sold ghee on name Sagar ghee, milk on name motisagar etc.

milk co-operatives have already been replicated in almost every state. But just like Pepsi and coca-cola are biggest players. Similarly Amul is the biggest player but there are other players.

Request to all CMs of Indian States : encourage cooperatives in Agricultural sector, they will do miracles to provide quality seeds, Fertilizers, instruments, and very important is Marketing.

We Indians have to salute our farmers too as we salute to our Nation who cater our daily solid foods and dairy products. I watched many documentaries on dairy productions of USA, U.K, etc, I was under impression that only developed nations can achieve this mass production but after watching this documentary I came to know that we are on par with Developed nations. It is a very good documentary and one must watch how the streamline operating system and production line helping us to have a cup of milk, ice cream, cheese etc in our daily life. I thank our Indian farmers and Banas dairy/Amul M.D's and management who formed a cooperative society that helped farmers in earning their daily income.

this corporation is responsible for almost 500% increase in milk and milk products prices in entire India causing pain to middle class and poor people.

To correct you, it was not vision of Sardar Patel. It was vision of Tribhovandas Patel from Vidhyanagar near Anand. I am too from Anand and my parents were part of this. That is why I know history.

You have misinformation ,do not regionalize it, it is pure vision and dedication of a single non corrupt person known as Vergeese Kurian an Engineer who choose to settle in a small place in Gujarat that is Anand leaving aside lucrative jobs abroad. Where the Western people mocked him in conferences about making milk powder from bufflow milk. Being an engineer he developed that technology first time in the world. Otherwise it was cow milk powder
