    That thing works perfectly. I am glad to see an update. It is amazing the time and effort you put into every part, especially considering that no-one will ever get to see this one up under the dash.

    Not significant? I disagree! ALL that you share with us IS significant! Your attention to detail, and watching you have fun milling and tinkering with this project is much appreciated. Finished taking inventory on my RV-14 empennage kit last week.

    That's a lot of handle spinning. Nice work with the manual mill. I hear you on the delays and cost for projects. I have a large tube order to place for mine and keep putting it off hoping to get most at one time. Ill probably split it into several smaller orders. Metal prices and availability are all over the place.

    There's a heater control valve on late 90's tacomas that would probably fit your application really well, uses a cable to adjust heat

      Considering that he clearly already has one I fail to see the relevance of your suggestion.

      I didn’t want a plastic valve. This one I have seems like it’s gonna be perfect👍

      Yea, but I’m sure it sucks for them more at the moment.. Nothing but well wishes for a quick resolution, prop or no prop👍

    Any idea what the total weight will be of the engine?

    • @Project2Aero
      @Project2Aero  2 года назад

      Not yet but I expect something close to a rotax 915 around 200 lbs… when it comes off to paint the engine mount and stuff I’ll weigh it all. Stay tuned

    Looks like they have 12v ones for about $32 but they are plastic. Google heater core bypass valve. I put a link but it disappeared. Maybe it is not allowed.

      Yea YT doesn’t like links. I almost did an electric valve but I didn’t want plastic so I just went with this one👍

      @@Project2Aero I agree plastic would seem prone to breaking or leaking. You have the opposite set up as me. I have a lathe that I sometimes force to do small milling but no mill.

      @@alanswanson1952 Plastic probably works better for auto use people let the fluid go bad with old green coolant turns to acid after 3 years rust metal out.
