This is a great report Matt. I hope to see more about other developments in the city! You do such a great job of summing it up and speaking straight facts!
New arena looks great. The Bulldogs deserve to stay in Brantford. First Ontario is way too big for OHL. And if by chance the Dogs do go back to Hamilton, there is always the Mississauga Steelheads looking to relocate.
I just feel bad that even though they are in Brantford now, they still have to play in the East Division and travel the furthest away to their opponents. I really hope that the OHL will expand to 22 teams and bring back Belleville and Cornwall so that Brantford can play in the Western Conference.
rumour is the team is for sale ,, and non brantford parties are the interested ones. This is not good for your town. Andlauer is leveraged to the wazoooo and needs to get back something from when he bought the bulls in 2015. sadly with no home ,,he has lost a tone of equity .
If the arena is denied the team is worthless in Brantford and has to be moved. Civic is not an OHL arena. Put a lipstick on the old girl all you want it has ZERO amenities that these elite athletes are seeing in the other communities/arenas and not fair to them as well
@@kevo1296 rest assured MA is not welcomed back by city and arena "leaders" So the issue is what next. Its very obvious Hamilton gets the AHL marlies . If the brantford arena deal is shot down, they are sold back to belleville and they get their OHL again and the AHL sens move just down the hwy to Cornwall and they get closer to Ottawa as per NHL/AHL rules
Thanks for covering this, keep us posted.
Thank you for watching!

Thank you! I'm excited for this city's future
@mattallman you and me both!

There seems to be options out there but Mississauga looks like they are headed to Brampton...

It's definitely not ideal that's for sure. Kind of like when the Red Wings were in the NHL's Western conference for a while!
Belleville will never get a team as long as they have a team in the AHL

Cancel everything! Lots of rumours out there about a lot of things. I'll wait for the facts to come forward 🙂
Rumours are just rumours. And a sale can be conditional on keeping the team in Brantford, like the Niagara IceDogs.
