You are about to learn the value of good resale. Ram 1500’s resale is low in Texas. Definitely the best bang for your buck used.
Would purchase as a 3500 or even a dually. Clearly understand that Ram is targeting a certain segment of the market with this set up.
However let's not forget that seven of the top ten slowest selling vehicles for 2023 came from Stelantis. Let's also not forget that a report just released shows that 80% of the USA population cannot afford a new vehicle.
This is the free market at work, competition creates great things !
For that kind of money they ask for. They should be adding 2 more years to the already standard 3 years warranty.

Man, that’s just ridiculous! My 2020 Longhorn has the E locker in the rear, down hill decent, black and cattle tan interior, 360 camera, everything but air suspension and out the door, I paid 63760. And for most of us who actually use our trucks, our V8s sound good. Whatever V6 you get now is gonna sound like crap. Stellantis is doing a great disservice by dropping the V8, and it’s gonna bite them in the @ss.
In ‘21 when I was ordering my 2500 and spending a lot of time on the Build your Ram site, for laughs I tried to spec a 2500 as high priced as I could, checked off every option, and couldn’t quite top 100K. It’s amazing that only 3 years later you could run up a 1500 that high!
Don’t forget Ram dealers also offered huge discounts in 2021😮 I paid 54k OTD for my 1500 limited in 2021. A 2024 model with same spec is selling for 69k(75k OTD, MSRP 80k+)
@@Kenopshi-q7c the prices were much less in 21 then they are now, that is for sure. My hemi Big Horn 2500 was around $55K MSRP. I did a build your Ram recently to spec a 24 like mine, it was close to $65K.
And mine has Ram boxes which was a $995 option you can’t get on Big Horns now.
But the market was already getting messed up then due to Covid. I ordered my truck in February, and thankfully a retired Chrysler guy kindly gave me one of his 2021 allotment of friend and family codes. But I don’t think I could negotiated much if any off sticker then if I hadn’t had a code.
I was searching online constantly then, and there were no 2500s anywhere close to what I wanted out there. I ordered my truck and it arrived in 7 weeks.
He gave another of his codes to a guy ordering a 1500 and 4 months later he still hadn’t got his new truck. The guy ended up finding one in inventory close to his order and ended up buying it instead of his order.
At some point around then, dealers started adding markups due to high demand and low inventory. Crazy times….
In 2020 I bought a ‘21 Ram 1500 big horn 5.7 hemi blackout package and tow package with 7 miles on it (14 after a quick test drive) for $39k!! It’s unreal how much they’ve gone up plus you gotta a bunch of the safety features for extra money now 😢😢
Awesome!! I just put my 2025 Longhorn order in. I was going to go with the Tungsten, I just wasn't a fan of the integrated bumper, still, super sharp truck. I could very well change my mind when I go pick up the LH. :) Congrats!

THATS BALLSY friend!!! I just got a 2023 Limited Longhorn and that was WWAAYYY overprice. I hope we can see tge truck when it gets in. I remember getting a Ford F150 back in 74. The salesman laughed when I said sure would be nice to have power windows. He said not in a truck!! Enjoyed your video, and yep, tiny bed for sure. And my 2023 sticker is $76,970 - no trailer brake, no panaramo double pane moon roof, but it has 18 karmon speakers!! Has that multifunction tailgate, I like it- but its nit as hot as they want to make it.

I’m not a fan. These super extra high trim levels just drive the cost up of all trim levels and at the same time limit options of the lower trim levels for the sake of justifying the new current super duper trim level lol.
I’m sure it will sell but wait and see if Big Horn and Laramie end up suffering from this from having certain options limited or just not even available. It’s happened to the SLE trim with GMC and to an extent the SLT trim for GMC. Same for the XLT and Lariat trim from Ford. As for Chevy, well the LT and LTZ doesn’t really suffer from the High Country BUT the High Country gets limited due to the existence of GMC lol.
The pricing is ridiculous! There is no way a half ton is worth that. Not only that you have to pay for what should be standard for a truck that’s almost 100k. No wonder why RAM has so many trucks sitting on their lots..
$97K for a half ton truck is ridiculous. No matter what the options are. The prices are insane. Everytime I think about buying a new one I look at the prices, than the bonus the CEO recieved, and their proffit margins. I will probably buy a bycicle at this point before I ever buy another truck.
That’s the truth I’ve been thinking about trading my 2020 dually in for the new interior but to spend 15k more than what I did in 2020 is insanity.
I looked at the Rams, but I was really disappointed with the interior quality that has been hyped up. The moon roof shade is thin, poor fit and really cheap and the vertical display with no manual controls... I hated having to go through screens to change a simple option... I was really disappointed so I am down to a GMC or Ford.
100%.....at a glance it looks nice but when you actually look, feel and live with it feels very cheap.....even just shutting the doors.....never buy another and was lucky to get out of mine at the peak
Rams are the worst selling trucks and poorest resale as well, their claim to fame was affordability, now thats gone.....even with 20k off they cant sell

The fuel mileage for the 3.0 Duramax Turbo diesel was the sell.
I saw this truck at the auto show and it looks amazing, the interior is very nice along with the materials. If we convert this to Canadian dollars, we're over 130k... That is ridiculous...
I believe this is going to be a quick truck the wagoneer L had the turbo H.O 510hp and weighted 6400lbs and hit 0-60 in 4.7sec, the tungsten will most likely be a low 4sec to 60 truck

I called my dealer and fully decked out my tungsten with the multifunctional tailgate for only 95,000 that was just over the phone. I think The leather is to light of a color. I hope there is a darker version I can pick. Imagine wearing any New dark color shirt and or jeans or shorts in the summertime. You got your AC on walking to your vehicle you’re sweating a little you getting in. You get to your destination don’t pay attention when you get out when you get back in your truck you see dye from your clothes transferred to your leather seats

I’m sure he knows this but these trucks too won’t sell how they think they are too overpriced. If we learn from the past these won’t sale as the other trucks priced high didn’t sale.
Also to slightly amend what I said he wasn’t d riding dodge either he was just speaking on the specs and how they had good features but just way overpriced as he mentions in the end of the video it’s crazy how they go up prices even though no one bought there old vehicles

87k base price? Oooofff. The current difference between a base 1500 Limited and 3500 Limited is north of 20k. So, I'm guessing the base price for a Tungsten 3500 would be north of 110k. Fully spec'd out 3500, probably around, what, 130k? I'm sure it would be an amazing truck, but good luck with all that.
97K for a glorified half ton with a miniature bed . It's worthless as a truck unless you haul pillows or marshmallows for a living . 540 horsepower is pushing the limits for engine longevity on a straight six , plan on a major overhaul by 50K miles if you push it's limits any . Just telling it like it will be .

It’s not up to you decide how one spends their momey. If it has the options you want and can afford it…….buy it. Nowadays I see no reason not to get a truck over a car. More cab space, same ammenities, and a bed to boot if needed. Only a SUV with cab room out does a truck.

Got my 2016 Rebel used and it only had 35k miles on it in 2020. They on drugs with these prices.
the nickel and dime for options that either arent worth the money or should be included.......a truck doesnt really need to be this.....all they did is change the seats and ala carte stuff that should either be included or inside of another pkg.....not impressed and can see thru the smoke and mirrors

The fact that the trailer brake controller is optional tells you all you need to know. It's a glorified SUV with a stumpy bed.
With that thinking. Then on all 3/4-1 ton trucks that have higher trim levels than a Ram Laramie or Ford Lariat are glorified towing trucks. With all those creature comfort like this Tungsten.

the main problem with RAM having such a HIGH end priced 1500, is that not many actual RAM loyal customers will be able to purchase. RAM is missing the price demographic for it's base/loyal customers. The RAM brand is hurting to sell...and it might get worse. Never the less, that Tungsten price config was super cool!!
