@@DonMammoserPhoto yes, would be nice😀 i have another question maybe you can have a look at that and talk about it in one of your videos: i heard that you can take stills from video with the a6600, have you tried it? I think it is only about 7 megapixel images. I do mainly wildlife video at the moment but i wonder if it is worthwhile having stills taken from video footage …thank you Don😀👍
As a hobbyist I crop a lot. I just post online and I see that a lot of my crops are in in kb range not mp! I just went from the A6600 to the A9 and am quite pleased with the results. Cropping is the only area the A6600 wins.
Hey Bryan, Thanks for the comment. I also have the a6600 and I'm pleased with it's ability to crop as well. Maybe I'll do a video on that camera cropping next.
How did you get both video footage and the photo at the same time like in "flying birds" chapter? Was the bird a paid actor and it went back to catch fishes several times so you could take more shots?
Hi. Good question but no paid acting birds were used. The footage and stills look similar but there were separate and different birds catching fish that day. All told I'd say there were at least 15-20 Osprey over the course of the morning going for and catching fish. Come with me on my Florida birds tour and you can capture the action with us! donmammoserphoto.com/photo-tours/florida-birds-photo-tour/
Hi Alton, sure, with a properly exposed and sharp image your print in such a book would look great at full MP and would still be ok cropped to a certain extent. I'd probably not crop much more than to about 8MP but even then it would probably be ok. I'd run a test with the final size needed before going to the final product.
Note: At 5:02 the bird shown there is a "Common yellowthroat" not a Yellow-throated Warbler.
Thank your, Daniel Mammatouser! Many plentiful harvests be yours, good doctor.
Your videos are always extremely valuable and educational. Thanks for posting these.

Very nice as always, Don… waiting for your next episodes on this topic 😀👍
Hey Ron, so nice to hear from you. I see you also want the crop video for the a6600...I'll work on that.

Hey, thanks for the kind comment, it is appreciated!
I use the clear image zoom on my A7riiia with my 200-600mm sometimes for moon pictures and they come out really nice.
Hi Martin, thanks for watching. Yeah, I have a video about the clear image zoom planned...just need to get more material. Stay tuned.
@@DonMammoserPhoto looking forward to it. 👍

Great information Don. Would this still work for the size needed in a coffee table book?

This sensor is nice! I don’t know what Sony did to it, but it feels like the MP count js higher than 24.
Hi Anthony, I totally agree. My images are great even with quite a bit of cropping. Thanks for watching!
Must say, I prefer the uncropped version in the most cases.
Hi Uno, yeah, depends on if you like the subject large in the frame or not. Thanks for your feedback and for taking the time to watch.
