Tom cruise is such an underrated actor. He just got a massive shitstorm for his membership in scientology while other celebrities didn't get it that hard. I couldn't remember him acting in any bad film. He also was brilliant as the supporting actor, for example in his role as Frank Mackey in Magnolia. That was brilliant. He is far from being my favourite actor but I respect him for the many good to very good movies in which he took part.
Does anybody else wish that Dermody's role in this movie would've been extended? Loads more could have been done with him, maybe he could have arrived in time to help Joseph and Shannon fight for the land and i dunno, live with them maybe? I just loved Dermody in this movie!
It's weird how most don't believe in Jesus Christ yet constantly blaspheme or take his name in vain esp in MOVIES IT ALWAYS JESUS CHRIST He is coming soon and people will stand before Him. This world will have no excuses to say they NEVER HEARD OF HIM ....... Die and STAND BEFORE THE LORD and answer to all this FOOLISHNESS AND BLASPHEMOUS
Yes I know its a movie. Yes I know its a period piece and thats how it was. However, while i understand no biting and no eye gouging, no KICKING?! If this was just western boxing, fair enough but if it was just "a fight" then there is no way in hell I would agree to fight a bigger opponent if i couldnt use kicks! How about you?!
No offense to Joseph, but boxing in a bar doesn't exactly make him a credible fighter. The big oaf he knocked out was probably already ten times over the limit.
@Bola Oladapo Oh I'm sure he would. All I'm saying is that a sanctioned boxing match in a real ring with an official would have made Joseph more credible.
Why do they have to all wear hats _inside?_ No gentleman of the time would have kept a hat in a house or building. Making them wear hats on the set doesn't make the scene look more time-period, it makes it inauthentic since it betrays the customs of the time.
Tom Cruise is soo good, yet it is one of his forgotten films.
Yeah, for a reason, it was bloody awful!
@@amazingusername8925 my history teacher is showing us this one. I’m quite enjoying it so far!
My all time favorite flick
Aside from his accent.
It’s a good physical performance, as most Cruise performances are.
Tom cruise was 30 in this movie but he looks like a really well built 19 year old..
the Revolution he doesn’t look nineteen.
the Revolution 32 you mean
the Revolution 32? Really? I thought he was younger...
I’m 20 and I’m tryna get his build in this movie
No he wasn’t. He was 28 and/or 29 assuming it was filmed in 1991

evesapple It waasn't his only role, he was in part 5 as well.
Millenniumbaby773 yes, he has a few scenes in the movie, I meant his only movie role :/
Should make a movie about that whole scene! Using him or another name but same character. I'd watch it. Can be C McGregors first movie role hahahaha
Beautiful movie
To the line gentlemen. No kicking, no biting, no gouging...but hand jobs welcome....
Isn't Mike Kelly the same guy I've seen in the Star Trek series with Patrick Stewart?
Yes.
Good Movie
The Irish took no messin!
Rocky Balboa prequel
he is supposed to be poor but his boots are that nice? I don't think so.
I don’t get why Joseph was so eager to run out the room and start fighting? LoL
Built up sexual frustration. Needed an outlet
Money
I think they should make a movie about these bar scene antics!!!! Can be Connor McGregors first real role!!!!!
Jesus Christ, Dermody! When's your voice gonna change? 🤣
It's weird how most don't believe in Jesus Christ yet constantly blaspheme or take his name in vain esp in MOVIES

A stiff kick in the shins has bought down many a bigger man.

I would use my elbows
In 10 the grade. Saw this movie in history. Saw grace Michelle Johnson. Instantly fell in love with h her and had a huge crush on her
If they made a biopic about Jack Dempsey around this time Tom Cruise woulda been the perfect choice

Cruise was awesome. But the Irish.. we fight
