Pippa has it right. The history of Bexit (From an American) is thus: Margret Thatcher screams Brexit! Churchill says "We shall fight on the beaches!" I’ve finally figured out how to explain my feelings when someone talks like it’s a good idea to get political theory from Pippa. @ Asmon is a great example, but not in the way you hope. They’re more in line with what I would call “politics as a casual hobby”. They like it, but don’t really want nor try to get a deep understanding of topics. You will have experienced it if a client has ever told you how to do your job before.

@@ableclips when you get to the alcohol discussion please include my warnings against listening to Pinkpa and the dangers of homemade moonshine. Methanol poisoning can lead to serious conditions like blindness, nerve damage, and in severe cases, multiple organ failure and death. Pinkpa has built up immunity over years, you will not survive. This is not some joke I don't care about being featured in a clip people literally die from this shit.

Ironically, I'm a Filipino Zoomer, and I know more about both British and American politics than both of them combined. I'm more knowledgeable about my own country's politics tho, of course XD

Man I thought the pink was was cooking an epic troll. LIke if she had said 60 years ago instead of 6 she could have been talking about Thatcher being against joining the EU and Peirre Trudeu the Canadian priminister at the time and I would have 100% thought she was brilliant even if non of it was true.

Brexit is incredibly based because I get to have a Nimi Nightmare plushie without the EU burning it.
But anyway, long story short, Brexit happened because people got tired of the EU and the politicians. The way we saw it, leaving the EU means 90% of politicians ruling over our country get the boot. Now we have Kier Starmer but replace the rmer with lin, and apparently as a loner in my bedroom, I'm now the biggest threat to national security in this country.
Basically we're tired of our politicians. Being EU means having more politicians. Thus Brexit.

@goawayiwannawatchit I wasn't explaining what Brexit was, but answering Pinkpa's question about why people voted for it. Of course there are many reasons, but telling the politicians to go away is the most central one to almost everyone who voted for Brexit.
