"Annnddd they make out." Love it.
I love your songs!
Thank you Broadway.com, for this. The more of this kind of video that you can bring us, the better. True, not many songwriters would be as engaging as raconteurs as is Mr. Lippa. Or, then again, possibly many of them would be--musical theater songwriters tend to be a thoughtful, amusing bunch, from what I've seen and heard. But Andrew Lippa was especially funny and engaging, when he came here to Dallas, to see a great local production of WILD PARTY. A funny thing was, not long afterward--maybe a couple of weeks--Michael John LaChiusa also came to town, to visit a different local theater that was presenting his WILD PARTY (as well as his FIRST LADIES SUITE in their smaller venue). It was fun to see both WILD PARTYs, one right after the other, and get to hear and visit with both songwriters (M. J. LaChiusa was also a really good speaker, fun to listen to and so gracious with the fans there, and with the cast members (of both shows; he attended T.W.P. in the afternoon and F.L.S. that night, as did a few of us audience members--it was a little, mini LaChiusa Fest. ANYway, I'm going to look for further videos of songwriters or other creators of theater, that you might have up here.
This musical, and Andrew's arrangement of Happiness make up two of the three times musical theatre has made me cry.
I guess I'm going to see Big Fish tonight. Thanks Broadway.com!!
PLEASE BE IN A BROADWAY SHOW. PLEASE.
MrsLeota he's done a few. Big Fish was on Broadway. So was his Addams family musical. He also rearranged You're a good man Charlie Brown for the revival. If you want his off Broadway work, you can check out John & Jen, The Wild Party, or his oratorio I Am Harvey Milk
