  • This seems to be the number 1 complaint about the carnivore diet. Even though it drastically improves for most, it can be hard to achieve the perfect balance in this area.

When I was desperately sick I tanked up on broccoli sprouts. They're so good for you right? I gained a allergy and/or sensitivity to all cruciferous vegetables afterwards. Meat healed it so that I don't get tingling burning in my mouth when I eat cabbage. Had fun explaining that to family. My theory is leaky gut + too much plant stuffs sends the substances to bloodstream and boom your body creates antibodies for it. Thank you for listening to my TED talk.

Interesting. I’ve recently developed a lot of inflammation in the gut and have bouts of feeling like I’m gonna pass out and very dry mouth and thirsty. I also have allergic-like reactions to a lot of foods that I didn’t before. Now I only eat ruminant grass fed meat, low acidic fruits, and boiled root veggies. Also take probiotics, and going to fast once I week. Let’s see how it goes in a month I guess.

On my skin I use caster oil mixed with another oil, right now im using up my olive oil then I’ll go to something like sunflower oil or black cumin oil or sesame oil I get from Andre’s seed oils, very pure, I only put on my skin I don’t digest 😊

It’s pure misery and I’m so tired and depressed… I’m on day 4 of carnivore but since I am the cook at home I’m struggling with freaking temptation! It’s kind of hard! The other thing is my kids are always snatching my steaks or carnivore snacks and that’s annoying 😅but I’m happy they love meat!! I just have to purchase a whole cow next time!! • @lovesgibson

Fruitarian is just as restrictive as carnivore.
And they’re both similar in the whole, “this diet is the natural human diet and is the cure to every problem a person has!”
And the people who follow the diets develop a cultlike fanaticism with the diet. And they all manipulate each other into staying in the cult.
“Oh you didn’t feel good on the diet?! It was just detox!”
“Oh, your body is still just addicted to carbs!”
“You don’t feel good because you’re detoxing oxalates !!”
“You don’t feel good because your body is addicted to meat adrenaline!!”

Have you ever analysed your stools, I mean from a amateur perspective, captured one and notice how it smelled. Profile of the bacteria in your gut is almost entirely dependant on what you eat. It's the same as if you have raw meat on the counter and raw chopped vegetables, they're both going to rot but the bacteria they attract are very different. I'm sure you have observed this yourself because you've been vegan but healthy vegan shit is actually non-offensive, it just has bit of a sharp smell of lactobacillus dominant bacteria., The same as farmer animals a slightly acred sharp smell which is not particularly unpleasant, it's literally sauerkraut type smell. There's so much unknown because it's almost like a new branch of science, but the importance of the microbiome is completely up for question. I mean some people have their large bowel removed for medical reasons or injury. They seem to be completely healthy otherwise, but on the other hand you have people that swear that oh you must have a sort of very diverse microbiome because it helps with all these things. I would suggest keeping the question open. The carnivore diet slams the door and says, microbiome is unimportant. This is the area that needs research. Perhaps identical twins and genuinely see if there are benefits of one diet over another. Something else to bear in mind, in regard to fermented foods, they may have immune benefits and contain many vitamins but in relation to the gut, it is if you're giving your gut microbes food that is already been eaten. Fermented food bacteria do not colonise the gut but they do have benefits which are factual providing that you keep consuming them. I'm saying is fermented foods are something of a false microbiome so if you want diverse microbiome you have to eat a varieties of fibre but again no one really knows if it matters whether you eat loads of fibre, there's a lot still unknown. Wishing you the best.

Questioning if your diet that lacks magnesium, calcium, and potassium might be causing muscle spasms = psychosis.
Telling yourself any negative thing you experience is all “detox” = not psychosis.

Are grey market cameras ethical? “Broccoli sprouts will be loaded with vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin K, folic acid and they are a really good source of the powerful antioxidant sulforaphane.”

They definitely don't have vitamin A, which is a fat soluble vitamin found only in animal products. Maybe they have beta carotene, but that's a precursor. Calling beta carotene vitamin A is like calling bricks a house.

Buckwheat sprouts are ok with olive oil and soy sauce. No gluten, low glycemic index... Better than morning fruit for a carnivore. You dont know that it's not until you try it
