@@kayyam9959 we didn't HATE the word. Just it's associations. Pretty sure the translators put it in there for the innuendo. It provided for some good fun.

Shadow garden are made of people that are cured of possession. Those that are possessed are descendant of the heroes (implied by the hero olivier looking like alpha). The heroes is actually supersoldier created by fusing Diablos Cells with the kidnapped children and then told to hunt down Diablos. Possession is basically the descendant body unable to accept the magical overload (Cid Statement in episode 2 when curing Alpha) cause by diablos cell (the true reason why they overloaded) which mutates their bodies. If you remember from those taking the pills (Zenon Alexia ex fiancee, that count from episode 2) they body to mutated.
I love the glass shattering in the episodes
