Hi, I recently bought a Hikmicro pocket 2 camera. I downloaded the Hikmicro analyzer program, but it doesn't give me the ability to see and analyze videos, it only allows me to analyze photos. Do you know what the problem could be?
This video is the reason I decided to buy this camera. I am impressed by the quality and detail of the presentation. As well as helping me decide which camera to buy, it also contains all the information I need to use it. I stopped the video to buy the camera before I got to the part where it mentions that there is a link to make the purchase. I'm sorry for rushing. This type of highly professional content deserves the commission from Amazon. Actually, I would gladly pay for this type of content. I suggest incorporating a button to that effect.
Great Video- how many hours must you have spent in it! The issue you found with USB C to C cable not working- I've just had the same issue with some new ESP32 Dev boards which have a USB C connector; they only work with native USB A to C or as you found by adding an A adaptor to the USB C to C cable. PS USB port is only spec'ed for less than 1 amp..
Great video. I'm close to clicking buy now but I'd really like to know if it could be used to stream video ideally using Motion on a Raspberry Pi. I see it uses UVC for casting but I can't find the version. Is this something you have any experience of?
finally! many thanks for this thorough review. I'm looking for a thermal imaging camera like this but I didn't understand from the datasheets if it did what it wanted, specifically that I could block the temperatures to show and then analyze the data on the PC. Beautiful! Thank you 🙂
Love the detail you go into on this review, thanks for posting it. One detail you showed but failed to mention was that you can take photos in both landscape and portrait orientation and the device apparently senses the orientation because the text on the screen rotates appropriately (This portrait/landscape orientation appears in the gallery as well). Do you know if this is also true for their similar product the B20?
What an in deprh review. Thanks so much. I've experienced usb c charge issues with some headlamps i have. Totally perplexing at first. I also found some cheaper/older usbc cables work with the headlamps
Great video with a really detailed review. Rarely see anyone talking about potential confidentiality issues with normal pictures contained in thermal images or show what can be done in the software.
Great video. It looks like the windows app supports viewing and capturing images from the thermal cam as well, is that true? Macro Lens 32:12 Windows app 46:50 report creation 52:10
As for privacy issue with both images You know you can turn the digital camera off so you only get one image in the thermal JPEG so then you don’t have to worry about somebody seeing it
47:16 the jpg file format has the ability to encode separate versions of the image inside the file, like previews and such. Taking a photo with a phone that has LIDAR or a depth camera includes a separate image inside with the depth info that can be extracted with exiftool. I imagine the 'main' image for these is the hybrid, then has the thermal and visible light images hidden inside and the software extracts them all.
@@camerongray1515 Good question, I've never pulled apart a file like that, but it makes total sense for that to be how it's done! And since the function is technically EXIF data, uploading it to a site that strips EXIF would *probably* remove that info. I got one of those looking glass hologram displays and messed around with converting photos to add depth for that, so that's the limit of my knowledge on the topic.

Yeah, it just so happened that the Thunderbolt cable was the one I had to hand when filming that clip but had the same issue with regular USB-C cables (both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ones)
I do occasionally make videos using review samples however I only accept them if they are something I can make an interesting video on. There's plenty of products I have been offered for review that, while I would like them myself, there is no way I'd be able to produce an interesting video on them. Making videos using review samples ultimately just allows me to produce more videos that I otherwise wouldn't be able to justify the cost of producing.

Interesting, that makes a lot of sense, presume this is how smartphones can crop an image but then later restore the original image?

Did you try a USB-C cable that wasn't a Thunderbolt 3 cable? Thunderbolt cables are notorious for acting weirdly and adding variables.
Yeah, it just so happened that the Thunderbolt cable was the one I had to hand when filming that clip but had the same issue with regular USB-C cables (both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ones)
@@camerongray1515 You should have made this clear in the video and/or pinned a note, about the USB-C cables, at the top of the comments.
Great review. Where did you get that USB tester?
How do you change the language?
256x192 is the Nintendo DS resolution lol. Reminds me of 480x272 (PSP screen) sat navs.
Hikmicro sounds like subdivision of hikvision, which is on the ban list of many countries, the security of their products is questionable
Hey Cameroon, do you like freebies and how many freebies have you got ?

Are you disappointed in the number of views for this video ?
I take it you're qualified to remove the lid?😅
