You think it is a decent choice if one does not have a car and has to ride through the city to get to the trails too (we have basically no / only terrible bike infrastructure at the moment)? Definitely would like to go full face too, because I've seen some gnarly videos of people landing on their faces, and I'd like to keep my jawline intact. But this means it needs to be somewhat comfortable and decently ventilated, is that weird straw system not actually blocking air throughput?
The cheekpads on the Endura MT500 look big and fluffy, with a LOT of cheek skin contact. The idea of sweating into it and wearing again the next day without washing the pads every single time is mildly disgusting to me. How would this helmet be if it were used without cheek pads? It's got the dial in tensioner for a snug head fit. Would no pads compromise safety? Is there some sharp attaching mechanism under the pads that might poke my skin in a fall? Thanks!
The helmet is rated for DH use, and the main market is the enduro rider, but if your riding is Rampage style or if you feel you need the maximum protection then for sure go for a heavier helmet. Out of interest what testing have have you done on these light weight full face helmets and what facts led to your conclusion that they are not suitable for DH and park?
@@blacksheepfinlandI went over a berm and slammed my jaw on a rock. Bit through my lip and cheek and tore off half my beard but didn't lose teeth. I think this would have defo stopped that😂 bike park is the best.

Get over yourself. It’s a bit of salty water.
Bro you havent seen other FF helmets lol... the bell sanction has cheek pads twice the size and padding all around the back.
Crap I thought this was a motorbike helmet
I would advice not using these lightweight helmets for dh or park riding.
