What does it really mean to become a season seat holder? What are the costs and benefits? Is it even worth it? Let's discuss it all and more! And a little surprise at the end...
Becoming a season seat holder is normally a year-long commitment where you are able to keep the same seat for every single event during the year or season. Whether its a full season, half, or some other package deal, you're showing the team or venue that you're a real fan who wants to be part of all the action!
Same seat every game, food and beverage discounts, merchandising credits, lower average cost per event, free stuff! How could you possibly go wrong?
The only major cost/concern is that it can cost...quite a bit depending on where you want to sit. Also, if you expect the team to perform one way but they end up being terrible...even if you wanted to sell your tickets it can become difficult. Don't go into it expecting you'll make a killing!
I love free stuff though, and that's how they get me every time. Oh, and playoff tickets.

I’m a loyal MLS ATL united supporter from the very beginning at the Benz stadium is state of the art and the booth is amazing but the issue is who to bring to the booth but is still amazing
Season tickets do tend to have nice perks however being quick on your feet will give you better results. I tend to work quite a bit of golf tournaments, as matter of fact I was at the PGA in Kiawah last week. My trick is seeing that we tend to get in late in the day after a long day of ticket buying and selling, we just scout out and find out what premium seating sections are offering free food drinks and most importantly swag. Just find a couple of people leaving early and we talk them into getting their wristbands. I have a closet filled with free shirts, hats, and jackets..works like a charm to be a bit creative.
It all comes down to ingenuity, perseverance and a little luck in that case. Very creative but also an amazing way to have an experience that most would think to be impossible! How was the event itself?

Happy to find this video, my local team notified me I could sell more than half of my tickets unless I wanted to be flagged as a broker and have my tickets blocked from renewal next year. So I have to attend 21 games in the regular season, apparently playoffs don’t matter, but I usually attend 1 game a round and that’s where the real money is made. This is the first year they’ve cared, but the team is playoff bound more than likely for the foreseeable future and ticket demand has gone up. I’m not working losing my seats as they’re good, and I break even with the 21 I sell. So I get 20 games free.
Is it worth it if you’re doing it to resell all the games?
It can be, though there’s definitely a risk that you’ll get your tickets cancelled, or they’ll identify your account as a broker account and jack up your price/cut all your benefits. Be sure to do your research on the seating choice you select as many seats will likely lose money during the regular season
Have you ever thought of being a season ticket holder for a major league soccer team? I want to try it myself but don’t know if I’ll make a profit from it
I’ve held MLS tickets for TFC but haven’t seen great returns from it. However, I know some of the other teams across the league offer some very enticing price points so there’s definitely an opportunity to make a decent profit, just takes time to find the right team, seating location and price point
The only thing I got for being a season ticket holder from my NBA team was a fanny pack and a pin. Nothing else. 4th playoff seed team too.

We all love the free stuff.. one of the best places that I had a great time is the corporate chalet at the Canadien open in Oakville. Best food and drink set up not to mention tons of great hats , top shelf golf shirts and even very nice jackets.. we can out looking like kings
It’s sad but I’ve only ever been to one golf event (Pan Am Games in Toronto 2015) though absolutely love to play. I’ll need to pay more attention to hospitality/corporate setups for them in the future though!

Upper. But if they don't sell, I will just let them expire. I've had enough of the nfl. The league is very, very broken now. Too corrupt for me.
