I just picked up a 1981 p200e with 525 miles on it here in Florida, same Bordeaux colour as the one behind you. Good going over and it runs great, the only thing I had to lose was the USA fuel tap , the plastic was great but the tank valve was totally blocked and broken tube. Now has 866 miles on it. I have four Lammies so this is a new challenge. Amazing that these machines are still turning up. Mine has all the paperwork from the dealership that was a few miles away. Thanks for your videos, helps me to sort mine out.
Excellent demo as it reminds me of mine! I have a P150X bought in 1989, exact same colour, no indicators, 6V electrics, points ignition, manual 2 stroke oil addition (no automatic petroil system), 18,000 miles clocked, in same fully original and nearly mint condition including the factory stickers and the crack on the front plastic hub cover! Mine being 150cc will do about 67 mph top speed, which is pretty hairy on a vintage Vespa. I know the mechanicals and every bolt, screw and nut are totally original too because no mechanic has ever messed with it in all these years, myself doing all the necessary maintenance. The reason it has such low mileage is that I only use it for fun riding and short trips on weekends, while being kept indoors the rest of the time. Mine is European spec as I live in Europe.
Nice P125X, I have same colour Vespa Px80E from 1992 it has only 7500km now i have bout from first owner last Summer its a great fun Scooter to drive.... Greetings From Croatia!
Super wombat cool! Sounds like the cat that bought it to restore as a show piece and not a rider as he elected to keep the original tires. Myself, I would have gone with new rubber as I would absolutely have to ride that scooter! Mahalo!
I have similarly original 1978 P200E. I got it about 20 years ago with 1000 miles on it. Still has the paper vin sticker. Now has 4000 on it and I have replaced the tires, brake shoes, front shock, cable inners, and rear bumper. Never sell it.
Very cool. I have a unrelated question. I have wrist pain due to work and was considering swapping to a finger or thumb throttle. Is this an easy conversion or even practical to do?
Hey! A quick question for Robot, and to all other Vespa owners out there... I have a flashing ABS light on a brand NEW Primavera 125. Any thoughts on why this might be?? Many thanks 👍🏻✌🏻🛵
Don't think I've heard ANY two-stroke that quiet. Incredible find...

Great work! So cool to see the juxtaposition of old vs. new at the end of the video. You guys are the best!

What an absolute treat that was Robot. Would surely be a lucky man that owns that machine - very jealous..👍
Rolling the dice on 40yo dry rotted tires. Good luck. Everything else looks/sounds incredible!
I love the vintage videos! :)
I am from NZ. I owned a PX200 "Lusso" in the 80's and a P150 in the early 80's. I miss the smell of pre-mix!

Nice, but not a P200E...
I have the same scooter. What tires do you recommend?
Nice
Did I understand right that a dislodged seal bound up the crankshaft. And this damaged it to the point of needing crankshaft replacement? Ouch :(
hi, I have a t5 1988 ..would you know the colour code for that red??😊
Do they have T5's in San Diego?? I have a 1995 T5 Classic, any T5 riders in California ??
Did you have to rewire the stator? Those always seem to rot no matter what.
Yep, they all rot after 35+ years
Damn gurih
