Jason felt a kindred spirit with Carly. People wrote her off and they wrote him off. And Jason understands why Carly is doing what she's doing. Both men have come to Jason and told him directly that they would take him away from her. To own him. And Jason understands that. He's doing it more for Michael than Carly. AJ wanted their small flicker of a friendship to come before his genuine friendship with Carly. He wasn't going to throw her to the wolves any more than he was going to become a Quartermaine.
This is what made me see Jason as a hypocrite with not liking to be lied to but yet Carly lies like the air she breathes yet he forgive her but not others. Jason should’ve stayed out of this because right or wrong this was AJ’s baby which probably would’ve brought out the best of him had Jason not interfere. I always commended AJ for trying to reach out to Jason with wanting a relationship and yet Jason always gave him the cold shoulder. Plus Jason can lie which people don’t understand when he wants to.
Jason didn't always give him the cold shoulder. They had a decent relationship. Jason has and does lie when necessary. He doesn't think it's appropriate to lie to people you're close to.
Megan Taylor it seems like it, when he should be on AJ’s side on Carly doing her stunt making him think he was drinking again and leaving him knocked out in alley. They would’ve had a better relationship had Carly never entered the picture in my honest opinion.
@@crayzeetony4367 which only proves Jason doesn’t have common sense to be 100% thorough with his thinking and judgement when it comes to people using him for their own gain.
Not that he was a bad actor or that he was bad as Edward, but the Jed Allan recast was terrible as well. Pretty sure Jed was only slightly older than Stuart Damon. The Taggart and Justus recasts were pretty bad too.
AJ can not understand that what happened in the accident is still in effect. What AJ did to Jason caused everything that Jason became. How does he think he can keep Jason away from the baby.
The real reason Jason stood up for Carly is because he knows that it’s WRONG to take a child away from its mother with absolutely no proof that she could not care for it. AJ & Tony both only wanted to take Michael to hurt Carly. Neither of them was no more “fit” to be a parent than she was. Not Tony and damn sure not AJ.
AJ was just as fit to be a parent as any of them. I'd be unwilling to leave my newborn with a woman who lied and manipulated as much as Carly, that would be enough proof for me. A nanny would be preferable to her.
@@jarlymorgan not at first. No, Tony did not lie and manipulate at all, that wasn't his style. AJ would have, probably, if he had the chance but that never happened, he was spinning his wheels the whole time.
This is what I don't understand why the made Jason turn on AJ even when he knows the truth of what Carly did to him. The only thing I object of is that AJ wants to take the baby from her.
And that was what Jason had against him also. He did not turn on AJ. You’re supposing a relationship that Jason never really felt. He was just helping Carly.
Leonie, I agree, Jason did turn on AJ, and he and AJ did have a brother/friendship after the accident. I agree that it was the brain damage. I can't imagine any guy doing what Jason did without wondering if it was right or questioning himself. Plus Jason was only supposed to help Carly until she had the baby and went out on her own.
AJ really missed the mark as not on lot did Michael turn out to be a great kid he rejected the mob [not Sonny himself] and eventually became exactly what Edward would have wanted him to be - head of ELQ - and he maintained good relationships with all his principal adult relatives.
Jason lies so many times throughout this segment it's heartbreaking. Lies by omission and finessing (yes, I slept with her), and blowing off about Robin. Well, in the end, he got his courtesy of Robin telling the truth . . . then years later apologizing to Robin, long, long overdue! I love JnR's love story, my favorite of all GH love stories. But when they changed his character to lying and made the Robin character sound harpy, I knew they were 'doomed' to not having Happily ever After. And he chose Michael over Robin . . . totally unbelievable for the character written in '96-'97 love affair + the later getting back together.
JK Nousak a child literally changes people's perspective on a lot of things. When you become a parent whether biological or not you're always gonna put the child first. As the child's survival and well being are dependent on you. He really had no choice but to pick Michael over robin. Which is why he tried to avoid it coming down to that choice. Also since when is not saying anything lying?

I don't agree, Jason has the opportunity to be a good parent, whereas Carly also has opportunity but not the sense at first. I would hardly consider Carly to be neurotypical. AJ would have grown as a parent if given the opportunity, and he certainly wanted the opportunity.

I remember when this was on TV. It was so intense, wondering if AJ was going to find out. Great scene!
This was the end of any chance they had at being brothers again
nah the accident made this the permant state of affairs at most they would have been cordial

Robin should have never went back with him after he let everyone believe he cheated on her with Carly he didn't deserve her

Replacing SK with BW as AJ has to rank right up there with the worst recasts in soap opera history.
