- If you are planning out your cut flower garden for 2022, these are the flowers you need to add to your flower farm. All of these picks are long lasting, versatile, and make your bouquets look better--but I'll warn you, they're not the typical hero flowers that you see on other lists like these.
I'd love to know in the comments, do you agree with my choices? Or is there another flower you feel deserves to be on this list.

I even planning to plant more yellow flowers for next year 😊
You have wonderful information!! Ty for sharing 💓
Love your recommendations!
Appreciate your unique perspective and way of presenting. Quality channel!
Great list. Highlighter yellow describes that color perfectly.
Larkspur is one of my cool flower favorites for bouquets! Thanks for the video!😊
Your bouquets are beautiful . I like how you mentioned lesser known flowers .
Hahaha! The highlighter yellow struggle is real - I bought some late snapdragon seedlings this year, and of course highlighter yellow is the one that has grown really well!
They always seem to grow the best. The only reason I like them is they're a bit of a decoy for the thrips.
I disagree about yellow flowers) In combinations with blue or brown they look good, but whole yellow bouquet is the best. I dont like warm yellow (like rudbekia) or simple orange (like tagetes) but even those may look good :)
Me too! I feel luck of higt yellow flowers. They are paring so good with red colors and blue and purple.
Two years ago I grew a snapdragon mix. One color was yellow - "highlighter" yellow. I knew I would never grow that one again!
Such a great video.. following your advice
Thank you!
lovely video
Maybe try the intense blue bachelor buttons and than intense orange cosmo with highlighter yellow flowers- otherwise I see where your coming from! Happy growing!
super informative 👍😊
I love how statice and strawflowers preserve their colors so you can have colorful bouquets in autumn or winter, they make nice bohemian style bunches:)))
Me too!
Lol not only planning but buying ❤. You know me all too well
Maybe try making rainbow bouquets and use the highlighter yellow flowers in them.
Get a color wheel. You will see where the high lighter yellow flowers.
Wah kamu memiliki bunga yang banyak berwarna-warni sangatlah indah 🥰🥰🥰
Me sitting here wondering why that beautiful yellow color is supposed to be avoided? That’s what my clients in suburban Los Angeles in Orange County California flock to this time of year (spring) I also think it really just depends on the person.
Great top 8, and I am SO with you on the yellow. I also think that gomphrena is a pretty versatile and holds colour well.
True! I’m growing different colours this year though, that hot purple wasn’t my favourite in bouquets.
thank you (:
I love the strawflowers but hate stripping the crappy leaves. Reminds me of bachelor’s buttons which I also love but hate the leaves! Thanks for the info!
I feel the same way about bachelors buttons! They’re the flower I love to hate.
U are an inspiration.... love from India...we can grow flowers all year long...no forst nothing...
I’m so jealous!!
Yellow ones are one of the best flowers for sale here in Poland. Go very well with most colors. Maybe you can't sell it in your area and it's not for the color of the variety.
Who knows? And maybe I’ll find next year that yellow is suddenly really popular.
I enjoy your channel and am in zone 5b. One of my favorite bouquet color combinations are highlighter yellow, purple and white. There is a place for them.
I’ll have to try that combo!
Do you have a good source for apricot coloured snapdragon seeds?
Thank you for list 8 favs. I haven't had good luck with snaps. I think I started them too late and by the time I planted out, it was too hot here. Strawflowers and Queen series zinnias -LOVE! I grow mainly for myself and family; love sharing bouquets. I'm not very good at making bouquets, but I'm getting there.
Practice makes perfect, you'll get there.
🤣🤣 I really like using those bright highlighter yellows in my market bouquets. 😅
Oh, market is a different thing! People seem to want brighter stuff when they're buying at a farmer's market.
But doesn't yellow work beautifully with pale pinks
Does an amaranth plant keep producing throughout the growing season? Or is it a one and done type plant?
It will keep producing. I also highly recommend growing them closer together than suggested and pinching them for more useful stems.
I have some dried strawflowers from the market, can I still save seeds from them?
No, the strawflowers have to kind of explode for lack of a better term. Then the seeds are ripe.
@@ShiftingRoots Oh gotcha, thank you!
SO WITH YOU ON YELLOW!
it would be nice if you could do time stemps. and using the Latin name for people, that English is not their native language, like me..
I would definitely consider that for future videos! Thanks for the feedback.

keep up the good job
happy new year from the holy land of Israel 🇮🇱
Nope don't leave out yellow, I'm for sure doing yellow flowers. I love them in bouquets
I like yellow too, but that darn highlighter yellow is a beast to arrange with,
Hallo Kristen Rant how are you 🇺🇸🇺🇸💏🌻💚💮☝❤💪✌🌱🌹
There is no good pic of cress anywhere in the video. Video should show more of the flowers rather the woman talking.
