Before Chelsea sign any new players, they first need to offload a load. So who should they sell?
But as JJ Bull finds out, getting rid of the players that are sellable leaves their squad unbalanced.

a shame that ziyech is leaving, he never really got any play time as a RW with a real no.9. the whole time they had a no.9 he was being played as a wingback, then when they were playing havertz as a 9, he was benched / playing wingback. @ocb7160 Год назад

I like the more ind depth analysis and explanation of the teams squad and tactics. What I prefered form the old format was the way they gave multiple options for one position, with varying profiles that would fit the team, a player ready for the first team vs one with high potential. In this video and the Man Utd one it feels like they mostly mentioned players theyre currently linked with instead of finding a player who no one's talking about but fits the profile. We know Moises Caicedo is good, we know Chelsea will probably sign him for a lot of money, but: Who else is out there that could be viable?
There's definitely good things and bad things in each of the format's, it's just that those who've been following Tifo for a while already have expectations for this series.

Hence, for right inverted winger I am hopefully Poch could consider Leroy Sane and he is also at 27 years old - similar to Sterling and he could provide the guidance to both Noni and Omari Hutchinson. This is with assumptions that Bayern wanted to sell and Sane willing to come to Chelsea for a season without UCL.

I think DDF will go on loan and we will look to bring in one more striker.
I think midfield is the new priority, now that some outgoings have been secured, and the most up-in-the-air position. I believe Caicedo will come in and then it will be decided who leaves permanently or on loan towards our the end of preseason. I believe Andrey will stay, and the other youngsters will be offered loans depending on Mount and Gallagher’s situation.
I think Hutchinson maybe the 4th winger.
Having watched every CFC game since forever, we definitely won’t miss Ziyech or Kova. Havertz will be missed a little but if he wants to leave then so be it, his work rate and nonchalant style isn’t exactly Poch material anyway…

    • @joshbrown2217
      @joshbrown2217 Год назад

I think Ziyech will be missed. He was one of our most creative players last season. No surprise that we started to win games and score when Frank started to put Ziyech back in the squad.
Also Havertz had a good work rate (if you remember our pressing under Tuchel), it's just he has a relaxed appearance on the field so it went unnoticed. I don't even think it's a case of him wanting to move, more us accepting an offer for him and not looking to build around him even though Mount looks set to leave.
As it is a transition season, I sorta hope we don't get a new striker this season, as I think it would be good for Broja to get some game time and rather us wait for us to evaluate what sort of striker we need with the new team, then rush to get a new one because we're desperate. The general consensus is that we're not pushing for champs this season anyway.

    Sensible transfers:
Enzo Le Fee (last year of contract, wants to leave and metrics are phenomenal, ideal Kova replacement).
Arda Guler (Potential to be a generational talent, could rotate with Madueke and Nkunku taking the spot light off of him as a 1st team player but gives plenty of mins as a rotational player to two posistions).
Dominik Szoboszlai (perfect mount replacment, would help Nkunku thrive. Dead ball specialist something chelsea have lacked since the departure of Alonso).
Brice Samba (Highly underrated keeper even in his time in the championship has helped lens to their best ever finish. Claims crosses something Kepa struggles with. Wouldn't cost a lot either and has good distribution.
Josip Sutalo (brilliant ball playing center back with composure beyond his years, idea to rotate with fofana and take the burden off an aging thiago silva). Sell Chalobah to an Italian side where he would thrive.

Alot of waffle for a simple answer. If you want an answer, go and look at Arsenal's passing map for 22/23. Hint - Xhaka stood on Zinchenkos toes on the pitch. Arteta wants a more advanced left Midfielder, he also wants an aerial threat, he wants more creativity on the left and unlocking Martinelli. This isn't a fluke, Arteta and his team identified him and hence the price. Arsenal are paying at they have to and Chelsea are selling what they can. I don't think for one minute Chelsea want to sell him.
