Peter, your slideshow brought back so many happy memories! Our summer home is on Leech Lake and we had fun visiting Itasca State Park when I was growing up and my kids were growing up. Also, your mom and my mom were good friends growing up. My mom is Betty Herbison Ritter. She passed away about 11 years ago. I also remember you hanging out with my cousins, Roger and Greg Larson. I remember my cousins staying at Timberlane resort and all of us kids were playing on a merry-go-round, eating watermelon and having a seed spitting contest and you came over to visit too. I think your mom was over to visit my mom and my Aunt Noni Rogers Larson. Memories of summers at the lake are the best! ❤️ Roger and Greg always talked about your photography and how beautiful it was. I’m glad I found your channel!
Susan, Great to hear from you I hope all is well with you and yours. I have very fond memories from Walker and summertime parties that took place. I just spoke wit Roger last week he was at Gregs and is planning on moving to Park Rapids soon. We try to get back every summer if we can, this years will be a shorter trip and next years will be longer. If I wrote the stories about the adventures I had with Roger and sometimes Greg It would be volumes. I do miss being out on Leech but I'll take an Arizona winter over a Minnesota winter any day.
