Fortunate Son, one of their best. Goes hand in hand with the Vietnam War, talking about the 'fortunate sons' got out of military service while less fortunate sons were sent over in droves to die. The song is in a ton of movies.
There are lots of great CCR songs. I think your next 3 songs from them should be "Proud Mary", "Bad Moon Rising", and "Fortunate Son", but they have many more great ones after those.
They’re from CA but have a southern vibe. You’ll always recognize John’s voice if you ever hear another song by him. Born on the Bayou is a banger among many others 💥
CCR's "Midnight Special" is sublime! The lead singer is John Fogerty, his song "Blueboy" is another favourite of mine... give these songs a whirl and enjoy yourselves!❤
Also known as CCR, singer is John Fogerty. Back in the day to get radio play songs were of certain length. Too long radio stations wouldn't play the song.
This singer and songwriter and guitarist is the legendary John Fogerty---CCR did Fortunate Son (Vietnam Song), Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, Travelin' Band, Who'll Stop the Rain? (about their time a Woodstock Festival), Born on the Bayou, Run Through the Jungle (another Vietnam song).
John Fogerty singing, they had a big bust up and for 50 years he was battling the band for his songs, he wrote and sang but under CCRs name...he only just got back the rights to his songs this year
I remember I was about 9 or 10 years old when this used to play on the radio so often. Yes it's too short but most songs were pretty short back then. John Fogerty is the lead singer. There are soo many great CCR songs, like "Bad Moon Rising' , "Up Around the Bend", "Down on the Corner", "Fortunate Son" and and "Proud Mary" - Tina Turner did a famous great cover of Proud Mary.
You need to watch their live performances of "I Put a Spell on You", Proud Mary, I Heard it Through the Grapevine, Born on the Bayou. I could go on and on.
Like many have said "I heard it through the grapevine" is awesome, do the long version, it's 11 minutes long. For me, it is the best version of this song.
Three songs define Credence. "Born on The Bayou," "Suzy Q," and "I Put a Spell on You." The last, is a cover of the old "Screamin'" Jay Hawkins hit from way back. So much soul from these boys from Northern California. No, they aren't from the south. They sound like it, but they aren't. Thanks guys
Born On the Bayou should be your next song by CCR. It's a whole different flavor. They have a lot of great tunes. Some I'm sure you've heard before, you just didn't know who it was. They have several songs used in movie soundtracks.
Gotta love that California swamp sound! Great choice, lousy video. I know you have all heard CCR before, you just haven't found that one song you are all familiar with but you keep playing them and I'm positive you will hear that one song...
They more the hear from them, the more you want. This song is older than their parents here, not sure how this video has to do with the song, John Fogery is the singer
Songs had to be shorter for that 3 minute maximum for the radio. If Songs were longer, the djs had to cut parts like drum solos, etc. Queen fought to break that mold with Bohemian Rhapsody
If this video is actually from a movie, it makes me not want to see it ever. I hate when people try to make a video of an old song that never needed a video and that has nothing to do with the clips they put together.
I think the song was about the band inner struggles and it may of been before they broke up. It was a bad break up too the Fogarty ( John was the singer and Tom was rhythm guitar) brothers didn't talk all the way up to Tom Fogarty passing away in 1990.
One of our Nam anthems. "The sun is cold and rain is hot!" To those who saw the rain comin' down on a sunny day, Welcome Home Brothers 589th Combat Engineers Song Pha RVN 1970
If any of you dudes have watched any war movies especially they have a few standards that have been used many times in the soundtrack. Fortunate Son and a few others.john Fogarty is the singer.
Corey have not heard of this song? How about Elvis? He was the King of Rock N Roll...born to a poverty stricken parents and sang at churches. He biggest break came from recording a birthday song for his mother. The studio owner recognized his potential and the rest is history. Also please check out Tom Jones...I know the above 2 legends are way before your time. How about Bee Gees? Check out Saturday Night Live. Their song Staying Alive is a classic. And U2!! Great Irish band. The lead singer write most of the songs. His name is Bono. His lead guitar player is The Edge. I don't know his real name.
Everyone knows who Elvis is! Well, maybe not necessarily. But I bet Corey and the other guys know! I bet they know the Bee Gees and probably U2 also. Tom Jones I give a 50/50 probability 👍
👀 🌧️ 🎶 😎 👍 Great song! Great reaction! CCR always got played by my dad on road trips when I was a kid. Along with greats like Bob Seger, Genesis,AC/DC ,Pat Benatar, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and many many more 😁
The length of the song was because of the programming of the FM stations in the '70s. Most of the rock and roll in the '60s most people listen to on transistor radios
Most of the songs were short back then, because if they were too long, you wouldn’t get any radio time, FM was just starting and they were the ones that started the trend toward longer songs.
pleased to see your reaction to this. Keep on rocking with CCR there is a group from Canada that you are sorely missing out on that group would be Rush best prog rock group ever oh and did I mention best drummer ever known as the professor also check out the 2013 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame John Fogerty of CCR is inducted in that year as well as a lot of others Run DMC heart and not to mention again Rush the end Act of the night in addition a guy named Lou Adler produced a movie for Cheech and Chong called Up In Smoke he made it so realistic the feds thought Tommy Chong was a real dope dealer he spent eight months in a federal Pokey until they figured it all out check it out and get Rush on your playlist immediately you will not regret it first song should be the Spirit of Radio as always peace out
Yeah ... 60s early 70s.... songs were short... radio would not play if too long... mid-70s Queen and Meatloaf did long songs and it changed... 3-4+ minute songs finally were normal.
You’ll have to keep going with Creedence. They’re like potato chips. You can’t have just one. ❤
😅
😂😆😂😆
Agreed!!❤
🤣🤣🤣🤣❤❤ That is soooo true!!! 😂😂.
CCR: Fortunate Son, I Put a Spell on You, Heard it Through the Grapevine, Born on the Bayou… so many hits!
There are those one hit wonder bands and then there is CCR where you wonder how many hits.
John Fogerty classic voice !!
Fortunate Son, one of their best. Goes hand in hand with the Vietnam War, talking about the 'fortunate sons' got out of military service while less fortunate sons were sent over in droves to die. The song is in a ton of movies.
You can't pick a bad CCR song they are all great ♡♡♡♡
CCR originally wrote/recorded “Proud Mary”, later covered by Ike and Tina Turner.
What a great band. Keep on Chooglin. 🤞✌️
I think the video is distracting. This song stands alone.
Bad Moon Rising, it is a stone cold classic.
So much CCR to hear....John Fogerty is the singer and driving force behind the band. You have a wonderful journey to undertake with Creedence...
So much CCR to dive into !!
There are lots of great CCR songs. I think your next 3 songs from them should be "Proud Mary", "Bad Moon Rising", and "Fortunate Son", but they have many more great ones after those.
I always like 'up around the bend' hint hint
Will check it out for sure
@@thisisitreactions choice
Up Around The Bend, and Fortunate Son are great. Stuck in Lodi as well.
Great band great stories of the time of my youth
May I suggest CCR's versions of "Heard it Through the Grapevine" and "I Put a Spell On You".
Will check them out
CCR’s version of I Put a Spell on You is one of the best covers of any song ever.
And Fogerty also wrote 'Rockin All Over The World' which Status Quo covered so brilliantly. 🙋♂
This is my favorite song by them
Born On the Bayou is my fave. They sound like they came straight from Louisiana ! They’re really from the Bay Area in CA. 😊
CCR on the mountain of music gods
"I Put a Spell on You" is a must, absolutely amazing performance!
This song is about CCR’s imminent breakup. They were at the top of their game but falling apart-raining on a sunny day.
Love CCR takes me back to growing up in the 70”S 😢❤
Also known as CCR, singer is John Fogerty. Back in the day to get radio play songs were of certain length. Too long radio stations wouldn't play the song.
I would say most of their songs are like that. Short and sweet. You guys will appreciate them.
Listen to their version of Proud Mary! You won't be disappointed!
John Fogerty is the singer and he is a legend! Their live performances are much longer. CCR is iconic.
Love me some CCR takes me back to my early teens My favorite of thiers was Fortunate Son
Have you ever seen the rain is my favorite..
Ramble Tamble. Classic
They wrote Proud Mary too.
John Forgery is the voice you hear. I saw him in concert Bayou Tour with ZZ Top 2019. Man sounds as good as he ever has and is fit as a fiddle.
Suzie Q, Born on the bayou
, heard it through the grapevine, put me in coach (john fogerty solo)
"Centerfield"
John Fogerty singing, they had a big bust up and for 50 years he was battling the band for his songs, he wrote and sang but under CCRs name...he only just got back the rights to his songs this year
Love your reactions!!! Y’all are great!!!

All time classic song southern blues rock !!
From the Bay Area to boot!
1968 I was back stage at Winterland San Francisco for their concert. Friends of mine were playing first in the concert. Big party.
More CCR please 😊
More CCR! My mom’s favorite band. Grew up hearing them.
Check out Suzy Q, Run Through the Jungle, Keep on CHOOGLIN. 🤞✌️
ccr моя молодость все мечты
CCR/John Fogerty is one of the best bands in history
One of my favs of CCR
Like many have said "I heard it through the grapevine" is awesome, do the long version, it's 11 minutes long. For me, it is the best version of this song.
I love this song, and its same age as me...

Born On the Bayou should be your next song by CCR. It's a whole different flavor.
They have a lot of great tunes. Some I'm sure you've heard before, you just didn't know who it was. They have several songs used in movie soundtracks.
I've never been able to understand why this song is special.........but it is!
Try "Born on the Bayou" next.
I saw CCR at the Illinois State Fair in the early 80s & they were great. So many hits!
Hey fellas, Yeah, Creedence has a huge catalog of music to listen to. You should check out "Fortunate Son" Peace.
Love this song
AM radio still wanted 3:00songs and FM was just rising up. The singer/songwriter is John Fogerty. Try “Bad Moon Rising” or “Down on the Corner”
Gotta love that California swamp sound! Great choice, lousy video.
I know you have all heard CCR before, you just haven't found that one song you are all familiar with but you keep playing them and I'm positive you will hear that one song...
P.S. The singer is John Fogerty. He's the second from the right in the picture you have up.
Now check out "Who'll Stop the Rain" by them the Vietnam version
There's more than 1 version?
They more the hear from them, the more you want. This song is older than their parents here, not sure how this video has to do with the song, John Fogery is the singer
Another real feel-good song of CCR is "Lookin' out my backdoor". It's a short one, but definitely a banger. Highly recommend !
Lodi is an underplayed gem
Much obliged for this. Please explore more CCR. No bad songs.
I believe CCR was considered southern swamp rock. Born In The Bayou next, please ❤
You will like "Who'll stop the Rain" John Fogarty wrote this after the rain out at Woodstock, good back story there
Wish u guys eatched the live, the Band itself!❤
Seriously. The people in Baltimore should listen to happy music like this to change their perspective on things..
We called it Southern Rock
There are many many good songs, try I put a spell on you next time you do CCR
5:10 corey roy was diggin it.
Good 60s music.
Songs had to be shorter for that 3 minute maximum for the radio. If Songs were longer, the djs had to cut parts like drum solos, etc. Queen fought to break that mold with Bohemian Rhapsody
Whoever paired this song with whatever that video is, should be jailed. This song is a masterpiece and stands on its own.
Yeah, it's pretty bad. Often music videos just distract from the music.
If this video is actually from a movie, it makes me not want to see it ever. I hate when people try to make a video of an old song that never needed a video and that has nothing to do with the clips they put together.
☮️💙💙💙
This was popular durring the war late 60s threw early 70s
I think the song was about the band inner struggles and it may of been before they broke up. It was a bad break up too the Fogarty ( John was the singer and Tom was rhythm guitar) brothers didn't talk all the way up to Tom Fogarty passing away in 1990.

My suggestions for more CCR are Long As I Can See The Light and Midnight Special.
Next CCR should be "Run through the jungle, with Vietnam footage
Try CCR cover of I put a spell on you
It’s a John Fogerty who’s singing, my friend.
Most of the songs were short back then, because if they were too long, you wouldn’t get any radio time, FM was just starting and they were the ones that started the trend toward longer songs.
If you haven't Roller by April Wine ❤ is a must.
CCR’s the shlt! 💖💖💖
Please check *'Lookin' Out My Back Door'* By Creedence Clearwater Revival, one of their best songs ever

Ford WISHES this was a commercial.
Yeah ... 60s early 70s.... songs were short... radio would not play if too long... mid-70s Queen and Meatloaf did long songs and it changed... 3-4+ minute songs finally were normal.
