I'm a grandma now but I was there when it all began, a young teenager in 1977! I turned metalhead in the 1980's but my first love and favorite genre will always be punk rock!
As for covering more pop songs, I suggest Titanium by David Guetta, Crazy by Gnarls Barkley and Hey Ya by Outkast.

Here in Brazil, we have Supla, a punk singer who imitates Billy Idol and claims to be the Brazilian Riddler. His sound is really cool; he did a very good version of "As It Was". I recommend you all listening.

And if you want other suggestions for songs to turn into Pop Punk, I'd suggest that "Kill Bill" song, or for something more out there, a classic pop song like Torn by Natalie Imbruglia!
