    If y'all don't start selling food tokens featuring Ian, you're passing up on a gold mine

    I would have liked to hear more discussion around the new rule change document for tournament EDH.

    I feel called out! 😂 I've only played 2 games of cedh, on mtgo. I actually won both games surpringly. But I fall under the category of someone who doesn't play cedh. Although I wish I could. Too many reasons to list at the moment. But you guys make good content! Casual feeling through the podcasts, but I also get the sweat vibe! I love it! Keep on keepin on

    Would it be possible to have a link to the documents discussed in the video?

    This is the first mind sculpture video I've watched. What is the policy on allowing proxies at all these cEDH sanctioned tournaments? Especially at WPN stores?

    • @captshetz
      @captshetz 6 месяцев назад +1

      Sanctioned tournaments, by definition, do not allow proxies.

    • @Dgoold2
      @Dgoold2 6 месяцев назад

      The largest majority of cEDH events aren’t “sanctioned” by WOTC, so proxies are allowed

    • @darth-umbrex
      @darth-umbrex 3 месяца назад

      This is largely the problem with sanctioned cEDH as proxies are basically needed unless we finally see the end of the reserve list.

    What are the advantages /incentives for a cEDH tournament to be "sanctioned"? From what I understand commander is a format regulated outside of Wizards purview. I know there have been unofficial documents written to address this multi-player format. Can the current Commander Rules Commitee simply adopt these existing documents as canon?

    To answer the question you started the podcast off with, it's the reason why Codie won in that tournament. No one knew how to deal with it and potentially those who did the Codie player had the means to protect their play. There's a reason why a deck is considered "meta" and there are decks like Pako Haldan where they're "anti meta" but most of these types of decks are known. When someone manages to brainstorm a deck build that actually works even if gimmicky, players don't know what it's capable of and typically lose to such a deck.
    17:00 the fifteen minute rule is really dumb, especially at my LGS where the majority of people who show up just want to play casual commander but their only option is to enter the commander tournament where there are prizes for top three and because there are so many of them they have managed to chase out us players who show up to play specifically in the tournament with our Competitive decks. Now for a competitive deck, fifteen minutes is not bad. But these fools come with their casual decks and they tend to run the game out to a draw. They also tend to "gang up" on the one competitive player who ends up in their pod (which happens way too often) and you can't prove bad sportsmanship as each play was plausible deniability. I’m just so confused over transphobia in magic. I care far more about my opponent presenting their deck for a cut than their presentation of gender, race, or lifestyle choices outside of the game.

      @TheMindSculptors ever heard of separation of art and artists? I'm sure you like something you don't agree with the creator about. You can't say you want a fun and welcoming environment then ostracize people for enjoying a sub par book series from the early 2000s. It's the definition of being a hypocrite.

    • @TheMindSculptors
      @TheMindSculptors  6 месяцев назад

      @@jeremiahjones9940 there is also a difference between liking someones work and supporting it.
      But it is very telling when folks get upset about these conversations than they do at the transphobic people.

      @TheMindSculptors being an ass to anyone who's not aggressing on someone shouldnt be accepted. Regardless of their lifestyle choices or media they enjoy. It's called being Inclusive. You just wanna be a gatekeeper so your little echo chamber can remain intact. I've played this game since 2001 and I've met 1000s of people from all walks of life. People like you want to keep the game as exclusive as possible to ignore the fact that people you don't agree with might have something I'm common with you.
