The "start-up spike" for the air conditioner is called "locked rotor amperage." Its the "LRA" number on the air conditioner data plate. Just a fun fact for the knowledge tool box.
@@JoshtheRVNerd another fun fact to add to that - the continuous, or running, amperage at the rated voltage is about 1/5th the LRA. Those calculations all help to figure out what kind of power requirement an RV needs for multiple A/C's. Or any A/C system really, its a standard.
I want it I need it have to have it! wife still says a diesel pusher just so she can get up and use the toilet in transit what can I do to change y her mind hopefully watching this video does the trick what a beautiful rig thanks for making these videos Josh I enjoy them every time.
Hey Josh, we really love the Seismics but have read a lot of bad reports that the Electric Auto Leveling is just not up to par on this big beast. Have you seen problems with these and the electronic leveling? Why do they stay away from Hydraulic leveling?
Jayco rates their fifth wheels for cold camping. Hydraulic slides/leveling can struggle to operate in those conditions. So Jayco's logic is "What good is a cold rated RV if you can't open/closed the slides or reliably operate the leveling in the cold?"
Seismic activity!!!?? HAAAA!!!! This kitchen pantry is SSSSSOOOOO BIG!!! Not two, but THREE 15k A/C units that run at the SAME time!!! In North Carolina, we NEED several A/C units when we have many days in a row in the high 90's with HIGH humidity!! TWO full baths!! This is a MONSTER 5th wheel!!! :)
Great trailer but I HATE shower curtains! They always stick to me. Glass is much better. I'm glad you guys always get the gas/electric fridge in the rv's rather than the residential ones.
LOL, that's the thing I love about the Seismic (and what I hate about most Toy Hauler 5th wheels). I'm extremely claustrophobic, and have been on the verge of a panic attack several times while using a shower with a shower door. For some reason a curtain does not bother me. Usually if we are traveling, etc.. and I have to use a shower with a door, I just leave the door open and take a bath (not really an option in most Toy Haulers)
I want this exact thing without the garage. Would like to see the garage space have another slide out with a queen bed and setup just like the front bedroom. I've been searching for 2 bedroom 5th wheel with real beds, not bunks.
I've been approached by 6 different manufacturers, but this is my family's business and I simply will not consider leaving them for "greener pastures."
If you where buying one like this which would you prefer this one, well the 4116 version( jayco) or the 419 fuzion. I'm also looking at a grand design as well. 381m Thanks in advance...
Understand each model has their own high points. For my personal preferences I would go the Fuzion route. What are you putting in this thing that you need that monster garage?
I love the videos you post! So informative. I do have a question though....we just bought a new 2018 keystone cougar 34tsb from camping world(would have gotten it from you guys but you're so far away!)...anyway, we have a 2016 f150 with a towing capacity of 11,000. Camping world gave us a Recurve R6 trailer hitch. I have never heard of this brand before and it seems like a quality product, but there aren't many reviews online and I still experience alot of trailer sway when driving on the highway. I know I have good weight distribution so that's not a problem, so I feel like the hitch is not providing enough sway control. Any comments or suggestions? Is some sway to be expected when driving even with a sway control hitch? Thanks for the help!
Very good hitching system. We use Recurve hitches here frequently. I wish Camping World stores would stop using over-rated hitches for trailers, though. Sounds like they didn't show you how to work the hitch because it has an adjustable anti-sway. Google the MFG's videos on it to learn how to use your hitch better. Know that you'll never eliminate 100% sway in any towing situation, but you should be able to be well in control at 60-65 and under.
Your videos are getting better and better, great job! I love that you are showing campers with the slides in. How does the nsulation in the garage floor compare to a Grand Design? I have seen marketing for Grand Design's garage insulation and wonder if it's just that, marketing, or they have something over Jayco and the others. Also, does Jayco use Azdel is their sidewalls? Finally, and this is minor but annoying to me, are the entertainment systems in Jayco's able the play blue ray disks?
*SLIDES IN:* Based on feedback. I try! *GARAGE INSULATION:* Frankly is pretty consistent thru most brands. There's only so much you can do back there. Anything else is just what you said -- pretty marketing. NO garage floor insulation matches the main cabin. It literally cannot. *AZDEL:* No, but interestingly they use it in the ramp gates. *BLU RAY:* No, but that's an easy thing to add in.
I have inquired with Jayco's team on this and have not yet been given an answer. I've never personally tested. It MIGHT be possible and I suspect it would be, but I cannot say with certainty.
Ok I know this is going to sound crazy but does anyone know where I can get one of those Thomas Payne quad reclining sofas by itself? That is exactly what I need for my living room and it seems like no one has one outside of one of these awesome Seismic toy haulers.
Not the strangest request I've heard (not even the strangest today.. it was an odd day lol). Basically any Jayco dealer can order that furniture. Frankly, almost any dealer can order that furniture. You could probably just google it and find a supplier in Northern Indiana to cut out the middle man (which is what I really recommend frankly)
Jayco went beast mode on this thing.
I'm only 6 minutes into the video and I already saw my favorite part of this big bertha. The swing arm bar stools!!!!
Good deal! This will go perfectly with my 2018 GMC Denali 3500 DUALLY! THANKS JOSH!

I recommend a jayco north point
Thanks for putting the time into this video. Has Jayco hired you yet for their PR? They should!

Wow great walk through! Will an f350 dually be more than enough, or would you go to an f 450 dually?
That's about where you'd want to be.
Haylett RV
A 450 or 350? Thanks!
Sorry -- my response was completely unclear lol
350 dually should be fine. 450 would naturally be better
I'm sure you'll find plenty of hot shots out there pulling this with an F-250 on pretty-boy aftermarket rims.

just thought of it, this would be perfect if you lose power at your house during a storm , if its not damaged you could live in it
I think a generator would be cheaper.
Can you run the seismic on 30 amp power like the fuzion does wit two a/c's running

When are they going to make a Front Kitchen Model??
Don't believe they have plans currently. Rather, they have a traditional upper deck with an elevated kitchen that has proven quite popular.
Just curious as to why this wonderful coach still uses fold out steps?
You'd have to ask Jayco. I don't quite have *all* the answers! ;)

Haylett RV That's just one of the reasons I will be coming to you guys when it is time for us to get our RV. Thank you so much and have a great day!
I think we need a bigger truck
"And a partridge in a pear tree..." :-P
You a bad dude!
Why didn't they paint thru the slides.
I don't follow your question, Bryan. This is not a painted unit. Can you describe your question a bit further?
I want one without the second bath.
Rather have the extra floor space.
my thoughts too. I'd rather have the living room space than the extra shower stall.
Very nice BUT I want the bathroom IN the master bedroom
That's something the vast majority of people *do not* want. Designers purposely avoid that concept in the modern market in almost all cases.
