I would not say that I'm an expert but I love the lion clan even at my rather low skill level; the southern kingdom clans feel so much more intuitive to me that I even struggle with regular viking clans by now haha
Experience is key: If you have played Southern Kingdom clans a lot I believe you, when you say that's easier for you personally! The thing about Lion is: Spawns can be incredibly difficult and even a slight missmanagement macro-wise can be very brutal.
Hi. Been playing NG from the start. Love your video's, keep it up. I'm a old RTS lover, for some reason it took me about 9 games to start understanding this game😂. Now I love it I think your tierlist is really well done. Think tierlist opinions will always change according to people's play style. I'd put Ox in "OKAY". I think it's because of my micro'ing skills and comparing it to the clans in "HARD", he's more on the level of "OKAY". I'd say he definitely becomes hard when you regularly lose Torfin, but there's a reason he's so expensive. He's a tank. Thx for video.

This was a fun video! I like your list. I would switch lynx/stoat personally, and I would move ox down to "easy" instead of hard. Being relevant in 802 and beyond with Lynx is really hard for me, but stoat is very comfortable once you sort out your first two tiles. Ox I find quite nice and comfortable, everything is easy until Torfin dies haha. I feel like a lore such as Wolf's veiled threats where you could get Torfin again without iron cost would make Ox less precarious. The 250 krowns is a huge barrier as is, but the next 15 iron is unreasonable in my opinion! Especially if you already mined second iron for a relic or something.
I partly agree! Ox is "easy to play"... if you get helped by clear! The clan also punishes any kind of mistake heavily: 1.) wounded villagers are even more terrible with Ox 2.) Prioritizing ressources is hard 3.) RIP if your Torfin is killed 4.) RIP if the enemy Ox is faster than you and the timing is off.

@@cRawley66 "Being relevant in 802 and beyond with Lynx is really hard for me" if you build eco Lynx and go long game, you have 5+ upgraded camps (25%+ fire rate and range), burning double arrows, mega cats and Oskeria with 12+ forged archers (one of the best forge upgrades in the game). you should be VERY relevant.
As someone who plays a lot of bear I think the bear clan is an interesting one. I agree with you that it's very easy to pick up (because of the winter bonus and Kaija) but that it's hard to master it in the context of high gp team games. It's very fame and lore hungry, you need to get to your 200 fame and key lores (harpoons and protector of the land) ASAP or else your eco will suck. How to do this changes per map and requires some decision making (and therefore skill). Imo it's one of the few support clans in Northgard. What it does best is making its teammates shine: e.g. by boosting their tiles, helping the clear clan clear faster, and defending neutral attacks. Making these kind of decisions is also not always very straightforward or prescribed.
About bear i play a lot too and can drop you lityle advice. After you have this Basic stuff like scoutcamp,house,warrior camp and woodcutter go instant for longship dock. It boost your lore so hibernation will be in time and your harpoons lore comes super quick. Rushing harpoons at all cost is always Worth it. And at beghining 801 u only missing 2 lores from protector.
No wonder why i perform poorly with stoat clan. I am a new player and I really struggle early to adapt to the enviroment. Can you upload more stoat games? Maybe i can learn a thing or two. Ty and love ur content
Great Video. Very informative. I love playing Lion, def not the easiest clan to start if you dont get the right map in beginning. Amazing clan if you can survive to 802 from rush attacks from 801 clans.
Me as a long time fan of the game I would put the Senk a bit down on the scale right next to the Horse. Especially after the last patches, Signy has gotten the ability of scorch earth to pillage the tile of it's mats, in year 2 she can do the same but from stealth and if she gets Draconic Fury through the Perk she becomes a slayer of anybody who dares to face her. )))
I dunno if I agree with Dragon clan being "hard". They're the easiest clan in my opinion. All you need to do is rush thrall trade and then keep pumping thralls and sacrificing villagers. Not at all map dependent, able to clear tiles with villagers, has a massive eco boost with thralls + dragon gauge boosts, warchief doesn't cost iron, extremely forgiving. There's very little that you need to worry about as Dragon, and you can effectively execute the same exact build order on every map no matter what. So yeah, I disagree that they are hard. I'd put them in the easy category

Hey there! The order goes like this in BEGINNER: the clan in front is the easiest. -> Goat, Boar, Stag, Bear, Horse Starting from "OKAY" the clan in front is the hardest in each category! I hope that helped 😋
Just got the game i bought the lynx DLC right away cause it looked cool and of course its one of the harder clans to play xD out of curiosity for the hard and expert clans if you learn how to play them do they offer more benefits compared to the easier classes or is it just that they are just harder to master
Don't worry about it! Even though Lynx is very hard and the worst clear clan, it's still very fun to play. Harder doesn't necessarily mean stronger. As an example, Stag's easier to play compared to Dragon, despite that, it is stronger as well. However, Lion, Eagle, Snake and even Rat are all extremely strong and it makes a lot of sense to master these.
snake being able to chain-push tons of draugrs and valkyries towards enemy tiles is OP, kraken being able to easily push 45+ warband is deadly, especially with mjolnir relic
So where'd be the Owl now? ^^ Or maybe you're waiting for the nerf ;) Also it's pretty reassuring to see base game clans in the easiest tiers and DLC clans at the top.
@@larsmanlive doesn't seem expert level to me though, compared to the ones you put up there. Less micro that eagle and less planning ahead (re. zone management) than lion/stoat, thanks to the fact you can move your Yggdrasil roots at the cost of a little lore.

What to do without treasure? 2.) When to go 2 Scout camps 3.) When to go for relations/neutrals 4.) When to hire Liv Adressing raids: If you play against good players, there is a good chance that most raidable tiles do not provide a lot of value. I've seen my fair share of perma-starving Raven players. Even the really good ones! Just to give one example: top player Minox got full sick playing Raven in the tournament. You could also "waste" kröwns by raiding too much or recruiting too many mercenaries. So many things that can go wrong! Buuuuuut, it ultimately depends on the circumstances 👀 I am interested in your opinion and looking forward to your answer!

I personally would put Raven in low to mid-range difficulty, about as hard as wolf - both clans have a relatively simple game plan in most games, but if their start is bad, they can struggle a lot, and counter-play makes their game hard too, but both clans have good options for counter-counter play, and they can go for either rush strat or scale relatively well, making them very versatile. I like to think about it as, if it's a 2v2 and it's their first game, which clan could I just tell them a couple things, and they can help me win without much game knowledge. So goat is #1 easiest, then horse (even with 0 warband you still have 2 chiefs), then snake (free chief, free healing), boar because you don't need to clear wolves, then Raven, Wolf, ect. If Raven can only scout, send a couple raids, and send their warcheif with like 4 units in early 802, I can do the heavy lifting and maybe win if the enemies aren't ready. If they were playing another clan, it's likely they can't both scout AND make some units/warchief by then, without a lot more guidance and micromanagement. I'd say wolf is probably harder, because you need to know how to clear, which can be hard for new players, with Raven you can just scout and not starve and you're already useful. It's maybe a bit of a low-rank opinion, and I'm sure in higher ranks it's not that easy, but I remember like 2 years ago, I was very new to the game, playing with my friend who was much better than me. We got into a 2v2 lobby, with the #7 ranked player at the time and his also high-rank friend. My friend didn't think we could win, so he wanted to leave, but I convinced him to try, and I just played Raven and went all-out scouts, we attacked at the start of 801 and won the game, they never expected it. Of course Raven is a bit different now but I think it still counts for something if I could beat the #7 player in a 2v2, with only 5/6 hours in the game, with Raven.

I'm not sure how good it is, but my favorite strategy in 2v2 is to play boar & stag duo, and then the player that has less fame gives their altar tile to the other player, who gets their altar lore (hero emblem/legacy) and starts scaling like crazy. I'd love to see this tried in high rank! Maybe even a boar, stag, horse 3 man team, as they can all build it pretty easily, and can benefit from it. Probably a silly idea but it could make for a fun video!
I quite like stealing stockpiling from squirrel as snake. It evens out your lumber and food economy a bit for not much focus. I'm nowhere near competitive level though. out of interest is there a tier list of the stolen fountain lores?
I only play conquest so havent played MP at all but I always picked city builder at first because I am a greedy player, but field rations is just so strong when it comes to making a huge conversion not hurt you as bad
Also, there's no tier list of stolen lores, but for snake I feel like this is more or less accurate: 1.) Field rations 2.) City builder 3.) Overcrowding 4.) Draconic Frenzy (kind of a meme)

Raven clan is easy to play, it is overpowered now.
I disagree, very hard to play but overpowered nevertheless!
Raven clan is super easy, do regular scouting, rush ship docks and market place for high economy and lore and the world is yours
