I went to my first rave, Area 406 Festival in Kalispell, Montana, and LOTS of people were talking about Shambhala. This event has been added to my list of events to attend before I die.
I would have loved to watch footage of all the mud savagery that was happening this year ❤
Possibly the greatest festival aftermovie ever created
I saw this after-movie as a contrast. A contrast between the hot, dry desert that is Burning Man, and the nourishing, lush forest that is Shambhala. I thought it was actually really deep and well thought out 💞✨
i noticed it too lol
Also the one thing we all took from 2019 Shamb was to be prepared for the rain, & it does actually rain at Shamb, even the magic of Shambhala couldn’t stop it. Having footage of the mud and the people playing around in it, embracing the moment and making the most of the situation.
Everyone who made fun of me for packing my big ol' rainboots was eating crow :P
🧬
I see you. You better make it back next year because we are deathpact. :)
Come play with us. Shambhala 2020
Are you the mystery artist at snowglobe
This made me cry. The editing on this is impeccable. So well done.
You couldn't see how forced the ideas were? Bit awkward with the Forrest stuff.
Im having third eye experiences watching this, going back to the times
This video was going to be what I'd share to my friends so they could get an idea of what sham is all about. I was there this year and even I dont understand this video
hmmm... Not enough footage of the actual festival quite disappointing in my opinion. On that note quite a creative piece of video art but definitely didn't capture enough of the magic that people created inside the festival as well as the massive production and design that was inside shambhala this year.
OSRS Dude essence, they got it
It’s because the weather was trash this year haha
Can’t wait to go back!! 🌲🤟😭
This was my first shambs can’t wait to see everyone again this summer 2023:)
Yall are beautiful I can’t wait to see all of you next year!!
Gorgeous work! Knocked it outta the park again this year!!! Great film!
If this is how this festival feels then count me in!
RIP Charles
The editing and the photography on this are beyond godlike
YES!!! Thank you.
Great video!!! Awesome time here! Can't wait to be back on the farm next year. Stay frosty farmly peeps
The point is not of the video itself but of the message behind the imagery and sound and the energy it brings from those who experience Shambhala
Starting with smoke, seems right for 2019.
I just wanted a video that would remind me of home, not random people walking around in a desert or dancing alone in a forest..
That's the most amazing thing i ever saw in my life
One of the best edited videos I have ever seen. Seriously.
Can't wait to be back ❤️
Welcome back everyone, soon we can return home
So so beautiful! Thank you for the memories! #WellDone
Least favourite one yet, I’m sorry but I wish you had more footage of the festival and less of the random stuff. Shamb is so amazing and there was so much to capture, instead of random people in the desert or city footage.
Its probably because it rained so much, they were too busy protecting their cameras rather than using it
I’ve gotta say that I loved the video and think this branding is really helpful for this important social movement.
I tend to agree... I don't feel like the dancers in the forest really capture what Shambhala is about... Looks more like a music video than an aftermovie.. It should be more personal... What about the creative campsites? What about the massive number of creative costumes? There is so much more about Shambhala that isn't captured in this video.... Shambhala is about self-discovery in a place we call home, yet this seems like an advertisement for a party resort...
A video of the signs on the road into Shambhala would have been better than random dancers alone in the forest I think... (Thanks for putting those back up btw)
This would have been my 10th year :( boo covid
Great video. Reminds me of my first year in 2006
Fuck I cannot wait to go home this year. I'm crying watching this video!!!!
Awesome. Profoundly put together.
The essences captured and mixed are phenomenal.
Video footage editing and music audio in love
What's with the non festival stuff?
ya, not really an aftermovie. Kinda felt like a trailer for next year rather than a recap of this years'
Once in my life I wanna be there and just enjoy life.
what a video , those editing skills are massive
this video was breathtaking 10/10
A masterpiece!
DJ Thales in the house
Mohamed Farah I will attend next year festival first time back 10 year festival was last nearly 15 years ago
Lovely vid, clean, crisp and professional footage! Its sorta sad that some people can't appreciate art without wanting things a specific way... A way they are used to. Their way usually.
Well, it IS an aftermovie for the festival...people expect to see the festival. Excellent filmmaking, though!
@@clarissathompson Jeez I guess you are ignoring all the DJ footage than. I'm pretty sure if I was to count out the minutes the footage of artists is comparable to the 2018 after movie
@@JesseDickeson33 I would say there is more footage of the grounds and activities in the 2018 after movie, rounding out that Shams feel. The audio being festival goers interviews was also very cool that year and, as awful as the smoke was, the lights and lasers footage looked sick!
@@clarissathompson Yeah well... I like 2019 after movie better. It separated the true partiers from the stay in your tent and hide from the rain partiers. The way they showed the rain and mud was great.
JD 2019 itself certainly had it’s quirks! One of my fave moments was Saturday night working merch at the Living Room and this dude goes dancing by in the rain wearing nothing but rubber boots and a clear garbage bag! The rain was an interesting addition, lol!
This is an epic creation.
Shambhala is not Coachella, I think that needs to be a more clearly developed idea in this movie - shambh is not a mainstream music festival and shouldn’t be treated as such.
It is therapeutic and life progressing and a place to meet the most kind-hearted people you can find. A place to realize your human struggle isn’t so unique, and to help you realize you can find substantial support in life if you call for it. Display that.
It is a lot more than just a fun party, and laser-filled weekend
Well said, I was beginning to think that they dont allow unattractive models into the premises. I want to go so much because I have heard wonderful things and this teaser creates a sense of privilege to the experience...
There seems to be a lot of criticism of this video and for the life of me I can't figure out why. I've heard vague rumblings about Shambala but never looked into going until now. That video was the most beautiful after movie I've ever seen. This was an inner experience in visuals, and I saw exactly what people at this festival must experience but in a metaphorical way. I don't need more festival footage I've seen all that. The fact that Shambala put this on speaks volumes to their intentions as festival curators and I won't be missing the next one!!
frig me. I been wanting so bad to go to this festival for like 15 years or more and I just so happened to move out west 6 months ago..just bought a ticket, issues with processing, but hopefully it goes thru and a humongous bucket list check mark is checked off!!!!!
Wow, this is nex level
Average Gypsy
way next level 4 3 2
belter
SO much is not from Shamb at all....
Wheres the Rain!!!
Cool vid though
i need to go
Cool.
Too much staged filler in my opinion but very creative.
100% agree.... 6:18 reminds me on the windows media player background when you would play music
SO EPIC
Mirror Triangle
Sick video! It would be even better if Fractal allowed video!
Eye still have to say this is one of the bestever animations dreams put together. Astounding and Surreal. Totally Captured the Magnificence of Magic. I Love Shambhala, this was off the charts on video footage and editing. Phenomenal symbology. Timing and Music 432.
Legendary Video Made Here.
tight.
Great editing on the video, I don’t feel it captured the essence of the festival however. The aftermovie should give me chills because of, “oooh I remember that!!!” moments. This aftermovie felt like an Apple commercial. Lots of pretty pictures, but no substance. I’d have almost rather watched 10 minutes of stage shots, and crowd flyovers; at least then I’d get a sense of the festival vibe.
cursiouse. did you find good footage ?
This video gave me insane chills.
Does any one remember a sham vid it was like 2011 or somthing and it was a basic video, and the show there jouney from some place they stop at bromley rock and then make it to sham, at the start it say everything loaded in to big trucks, it showed everything start to finish. They were called the power rangers from what I remember. please let me know if u remember this vid
I remember more rain.
Fillers aside props for proper 4K
The reference to burning man was interesting, sham needs to buy more land to make the festival bigger maybe like the desert party burning man? Everyone I know who's gone to sham thinks it's perfect the way it is lol, Iv'e never been, but sham is legendary here in BC, I get an earful on how sham is something like heaven all the time, doesn't seem like it needs to change lol
I been there 😏
The evolution of Rajneeshpuram - Osho
Had I not known this was for Shambhala, I would have no idea what it was for/about :/
One of the greatest Aftermovie's I've ever seen
Anybody else getting midsommar vibes from this?
Well done vid as far as editing goes and eye catching videos but I think there is like maybe 10 shots that are actually filmed on the farm. Like the opening desert scene was way too long I honestly thought there was a mixup and I watching burning man movie
NEEDS MORE MUD AND RAIN!! But beautiful after movie nevertheless
thats totally different of a psychedelic festival we have in europe... for example look for "boom festival" or "ozora festival"
🍄🍄🍄🍄
Exepensive trip.... literally
Sound
whoa!!! can someone share the tracklist or the name of the track at 1:17
Would’ve been headed to the farm today... I’m sad
5:22 music name plsssss
Hey it’s you! Which one? All of them :)
മലയാളി ⚡️
For everyone complaining I think the video was for people who didnt attend the festival so you can get the essence and vibe of the festival . You can watch someoned vlog if you want all the other stuff
"spiritual" mating frenzy .... gonads rule!
P.S. I would be tripping on angel Trumpets
Does anyone know the lecture / lecturer that is speaking in the video?
Whats the name of the first track guys? Can anyone help
SONG AT 5:20??
Anyone else come here thinking this would be Three Houses related?
Anyone know who the guy talking in the background is? Sounds kind of like Alan Watts but I dont think it is him
Very much dislike the non shambhala related content . Wheres all the footage of the ACTUAL show . I dont wanna see random people dancing around , and just hanging around dramatically. Show me shambhala !!
lmao...this why ticket prices outrageous these days?
this was not a good representation of the festival this year, most of it wasn't even shot at Shambhala. Disappointing.
What kind of Music should I expect? I don’t like Techno or DJs so much.
@@YummyBaer it's primarily an electronic festival but a very wide range of genres, from the staple house & edm mainstage stuff into more obscure psychedelic stuff.
All the desert and forest footage was highly unnecessary
*Martin Luther King excerpt plays*
*montage of not-a-single Black person* ..
Great video but I've been 3 times and their is not enough variety of styles of music IMO . Every Stage seems to play the same stuff.
No mud! haha, yep cool video but doesn't capture the vibe of shams for me. Can't fault how fancy it all looks though :-)
Probably so many fillers bc it was too rainy to get lots of footage this year
I'm sure they got enough footage in one day to make a 10 minute video
@@lykos619 You're right, just trying to give them the benefit of a doubt
i DoNt LiKe ThIs AfTeRmOvIe.
You're welcome to bring a camera next year and make a better one.
Silence haters. The aliens will decide.
I know it's Canada, but would the folks there be o.k. with me wearing my maga hat
I am sad for you américan people that dont seam to know raves, darkpsy and Real letting go
And then COVID happened
Da fuc I just watch?
You won't find the Holy Spirit here.....
I totally understand the videography techniques and thinking out of the box, but a me as a participant in this field, I found it this video was not at all justifying what it was in this place in pouring rain!
I see soooooo much image that got lost !
Shame on you, to do not let other creative people to have a share of it!
Burningman is not Shambala fox
This is not the shamb feel at all. disappointed
Shamb is trippy, happy, loving, colorful, friendly, and has beautiful mountains views. Didn’t get this at all through this video. would have liked to see more footage of the camps as well. didn’t really experience the lasers at pagoda either or fractal. ugh
The alan watts vibes are so pretentious
Trying to make a drugged up festival a religion, the biggest trickster is the beast himself...Jimmy is all about the money, this is a cooperation
