Thank you, and consider it noted :) A few people have asked me to make longer videos so try to cater to their requests. It can be tricky to find the balance because there isn't much point in making a long video if no one watches them from beginning to end. I suspect that the Steep videos will always be relatively long because I'll want to keep playing :p There is a video coming up that's a little over 2h long so hopefully you'll like that one too!
you prolly dont care at all but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Holden Maximus i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Thanks for the comment! I had never heard of that game until now so I can't speak from experience. I just watched a few gameplay videos and review, and a few things immediately struck me. I don't know if you've played Steep yourself and if you're asking for a comparison but it's hard not to compare it to Steep. For one, Infinite Air is snowboard only and it looks like it's more aimed towards tricks but with more realistic mechanics. Steep is also intended to provide a very realistic experience, except it has several sports to choose from and has a very big exploration aspect: finding cool lines and unlocking drop zones by actually reaching them or by scanning them with binoculars. One thing which I think makes Steep more realistic is the G-system: it's essentially a meter than shows the damage you take as you land, so if you land badly (but not so bad that you instantly fall), you develop a lot of G's. If it gets too high, the screen goes black and white, indicating that you need to recover and be very careful because the tiniest bumps can make you crash completely. In Infinite Air, it looks like you can't get off your board like you can in Steep. This may not sound like a big deal but often you will need to get off the board/skis to get where you want to go. I don't know if there is any kind of career mode in Infinite Air or how varied the challenges are (if there are any), but it doesn't look particularly compelling. The challenges in Steep or really varied: checkpoint races, freeride, slope park contests, orientation runs where you have to find your own way to get to the finish within a certain amount of time, etc. As far as I know, there are only two things you can do in Infinite Air and not in Steep: grinds/slides and customize the terrain with jumps and grindable objects. I don't care at all about creating parks but I do wish they had included grinding in Steep, although I honestly don't miss it that much. Esthetically, I thought right away that Steep looks a lot better: the lighting is gorgeous, the snow is very deep and feels/sounds very real. The character movement in Infinite Air doesn't look as natural as in Steep, and in my opinion the menu looks a bit dated. It's hard to tell what a game is like just from watching 3-4 videos so please take what I say with a grain of salt. While I can imagine there being people who prefer Infinite Air, as far as I'm concerned Steep is by far the better game. /end of incredibly long comment... x)
There was a good amount of hype around it. Seems like it's a bit of a love or hate game: some people refuse to buy it because it's Ubisoft and therefore "unfinished and not worth the full price", others (like myself) really love it. Most people who got the chance to play the beta liked it a lot, though. I'm just hoping they release the extra sports that came with the season pass soon, sledding in particular sounds like so much fun!
Cameron atkinson Very much so! I don't have much experience with winter sports games, never owned any and rarely played any, but in terms of realism it's very similar. I doesn't take much to fall or even to get slowed down a lot It doesn't feel aracady at all, although it does seem like they made the trick system a bit easier than it could have been. I found out that, if you spin in the air and just let go of everything, often you will land perfectly anyway because it automically adjusts the speed at which you're spinning.
One of the best ASMR vids on RUclips
Skiing isn’t as hard as you think, you just have to have the right mindset and know how to stop and turn
this game is so satisfying to watch
Thank you, glad you enjoy it! :)
I'm one of those people that *love* long ASMR videos! This was nice! :D

Having played this game now, what do you think of marcmorris' infinite air?
