Thanks for being here! Would love to hear some of your favourite things to look for when thrifting in the comments 👇 Also let me know if you want to see more thrifting videos like this one 💛
That is a beautiful big wood shelf for me that would go in my kitchen. I could see me storing some of my cast-iron or some of mine antique bases that I have I would probably paint it like a black and maybe doing some rough sanding I don’t know, but I love that shelf. You did good nine dollars you scored. !!!
I just stumbled across your channel today. My favorite thrifting RUclipsrs I follow are ones who thrift as well as show how they style/use the pieces in their home. I look forward to your styling video. An item I have recently started looking for is marble....marble pots, marble salt/pepper shakers, marble trays.
Hello! New to your channel😊 I love antiquing & thrifting.. and collecting all the old, good stuff! Do you ck the bottoms of your dishes to see if any of it is stoneware? The log cabin mug was really cute, love old scenes. The pieces with geese on them are vintage, from early to mid 1980's. My sister had her entire kitchen in geese! And she had about every piece they made, which was a ton😄 I'm sure someone got rid of their collection. Tip.. use google lens to find out about your pieces! You can find their age, where they were made & what they're worth. Some pieces will surprise you on what they're worth! Love the spice rack. The moonshine looking jugs are usually maple syrup jugs, some used them for moonshine😄 I've been looking everywhere for an old accordian peg rack like that! I know i can order a new one from amazon, but i want an old one🫤 I like the idea of mix matching white plates, super cute idea! Plants are cute in saucers, i use them for real plants sometimes to catch water overflow. Love the blue & white plates, love that scene❤Possibly transferware.. I would definitely google lens that piece. Blue & white dishes make gorgeous plate walls! Don't keep wet or damp towels in the wicket basket, it will cause mildew and/or mold, black stains if you let it get wet to much.. Learned the hard way🫣🫤 The little Canada jug is way cool, I'd grab it too! LOVE the shelf, awesome price too!! I love all the natural colors, i would sand it down & clear coat it, it would be gorgeous!!❤ I have several large and several small shelves.. so fun to decorate. I like to put small ones under large art and try to find things to put on it that goes with the art! I enjoyed, yes i got way too chatty🫢 sorry! But TFS!😊
This week I’m trying to Declutter my garage and I found my grandfather‘s wooden box that he would store nails and screws so I move the nails and screws into like a coffee container plastic one and I took the box and I gave it a rough steel wool wash with some steel Let it air dry for two days and I turned it into a mini shelf since it was three compartments. I turned it upward And I’m storing tiny things in it. .,(Spring) I’m trying to put stuff in there.
I would love to see more thrifting videos! :) I've heard of people using old wood spice racks for storing essential oils and I thought that was a great idea!
oh that is a great idea! I only use a few essential oils but I could add them to the display! I also thought of putting it in my bathroom for beauty products...so many options!
I love how you are starting your home thrifting! One suggestion for your pretty plates that I used to use was inexpensive wire plate holders from the hardware store or online. You can create a beautiful arrangement of various plates on a wall!🍄🥰
Beautiful plates you should collect several and then make you a wall piece with all the plates. The same style may be different colors. You know they sell the impression and green and in red and brown, even in black that would make it great display on your wall, somewhere room, kitchen area in between the kitchen and the dining room maybe I mean, I don’t know but I could see those plates. On the wall
Hi I’m a newbie.. You totally scored !!! My house is all antique or thrifted..1925…and I love older things ..I love them wooden shelves you bought .. I do shop from the things that I have that were my mothers and grandmother’s but I didn’t see too much springs. I might have to get out and get a couple of things spring.
Love the shelf and that was a great price. My husband just made me a big shelf 48 inches long like this and the ones I found online were $80.00 and higher. My shelf cost $40.00 to build. You got a great deal! I love everything you got. I would have gotten the plates also. I love little plates for so many things also.

I looked it up and you're right! They are transferware, Nasco Blue River from Japan. Looks like they're discontinued now. I love them even more now! 😍

Love thrifting and antique shopping. Cute items! Love that long wood shelf! Can’t wait to see how you use that.
Hoping to sand it down soon -- I have plans! 😍

I just found your channel and really enjoyed the video.
So glad you enjoyed it! 💛
That design will come off. Use nail polish remover and wipe over it if it does not come off. Scape it off after soaking.
thank you so much, Donna! I will definitely try that!
